Serotel Suites Opera

We are a family of 4 including 2 teenagers. We therefore gave the main bedroom to our teen girl and teen boy ( they kindly made the beds up as twin beds for us) and my husband and I both slept in the queen size pull out sofa bed. I was dubious as to how comfortable this would be but if anyone has teenagers would understand the discomfort was the better option than the teens sharing a bed - particularly after 48 hours of flying. We actually both found the sofa bed really comfortable ( we are std size people if on the larger size then maybe not the best option to do this). The apartment is well located close to an amazing bakery ( union) as well as the Lebanese restaurant across the road is amazing and Hugo restaurant another great dining option. The apartment itself was clean and a good size for the 4 of us, it made a great base to come back to. The kitchen is really only a kitchenette but you could certainly heat a meal, boil an egg or something similar with what is there. There is also a couple of supermarkets very close to get supplies. The air conditioner was also appreciated on the warmer days. There is a nice cross breeze option if you open the living windows and bedroom windows however it can get noisy at night so really only want this for airflow when awake. Windows do a good job blocking out noise otherwise and the main bedroom is at the back of the building so would be quieter again. Plenty of fresh towels, soap etc all provided. Access to transport options was great- we used both metro and buses to get around easily. The staff were all friendly and welcoming, happy to book a taxi for our very early departure for us and also very helpful in allowing us to store luggage for the day before our check in. There is also a bathroom available in the lobby so gave us the option to freshen up a little after the long flights and before hitting the city for the day. Thank you Serotel Suites. Apartment was good. Everything we needed.

Air conditioning wasn’t working. Were told someone was coming to fix it but that didn’t happen. Reviews from previous weeks suggest it has been known about so we felt like it wasn’t honest communication. Working air con with the heat would have made the review much higher.

Great location and service, room very clean and spacious for the family. Excellent amenities which has made this stay enjoyable and stress-free. Thank you

Bathroom a bit outdated,in need of refurbishing ( I. E poor drainage in the shower).

The breakfast was fine and the location of the hotel is excellent

The room was very messy, there were stains on the carpet and the sofa and the check-in process was long and difficult because the receptionist did not understand English. Another thing that bothered us about our stay here was that the hotel was not open 24/7 so when we left and came back relatively late we had to wait outside the hotel for about 5 minutes until they opened the door for us. All in all, not the most pleasant experience
