Beautiful location overlooking Rice Fields at the base of the mountain. Wonderful and attentive staff. Good food.

Clean well kept room. Large bathroom and great shower with hot water.

A great view of Mount Agung and the surrounding rice fields. The frontage of Frangipani is excellent. Ms Iluh, the reception and property manager, greeted us each time with a warm, genuine smile and helped with the little things that made our stay even better. The breakfast and room service menu though simple but is all we need for the stay in this area.

Nothing. Actually a little remote .. but then again we wanted such panoramic views of rice fields and Mt Agung, which is also close to the trekking camp. So nothing really we didn’t like about the property for what we are looking for.

Overall the experience staying at the accommodation is quite good. Fresh air and good breakfast.

The two rooms are spacious, the view is block be plants and trees, but need to go out in order to view the great view of the green padi fields. The breakfast is great.

Cannot see the view from our room. The accommodation is also far away from any shopping, eateries or able to see within walking distance sceneries.

We expected it to be the highlight of our six weeks in Bali, but it was not.

The breakfast was alright, not as good/healthy as in Sanur or Ubud. The rest of the menu was good and authentic. The staff were delightful, and fiendly and helpful. The scenery was lovely, but it rained for the four days we were there, and was chilly. We rested which was good.

It’s a misnomer to call it a “resort and spa”. That was very disappointing. The photos were misleading. The buildings need repair. The setting is awesome, just needs some creative repair work. Balinese music in the background of the restaurant would help. The paths need to be waterblasted as very slippery.

Absolutely spectacular location, great little resort, beautiful friendly staff.

A stunning location, simply done. Our room was beautiful, spacious and with an incredible view of Mt Agung. We went there to do nothing but relax, swim, read, nap, and stare at a stunning view. It was spectacular! Being remote the menu is limited but good. Although as they only have a few staff (doing everything really well) it does take a while for meals to come out. Order before you're too hungry and no problem. We would order and then chill and read, or stare at that view until our food came to the private table in front of our rooms.

Good

I got a great discount via booking.com on the deluxe room: a great room with an open bathroom. Awesome setting and view. No need of AC in the mountains. Bring some long sleeve shirts or sweaters.

It's not an disadvantage, but note worthy. I stayed two nights and it was enough, because it could become boring. Only stay longer if you like the serenity and peace/quiteness.

Magical and beautiful, this place is truly heaven.

Our field school from the university of guam had the wonderful fortune to stay at this resort for two nights (our team was 12 people in total). It was magical in every way and we plan to return next year. The staff were incredible and we felt like family and the accomodations and food were both wonderful. Of course the most amazing blessing is to look up to Mt. Agung from this place and feel the blessing descend upon us throughout our time there.

At first we felt it was very far off the beaten path but then came to appreciate that that was in fact the secret blessing of this piece of heaven. It is truly a gem and we feel so blessed to have stumbled up on it after so many years of visiting Bali with university students. I hope we can return again and again for many years to come.

Great view and hotel

Excellent view and location. One can walk around the rice fields. The place is a bit run down but it’s clean and comfortable. The staff couldn’t be better and the food is great too!

The gardens are beautiful, restaurant good, staff amazing. Superior room is worth the difference.

The view of the rice terraces is stunning and when the cloud parted, Mt Agung is an awesome sight. Nice pool and pool furniture. The staff were particularly attentive and absolutely lovely. Excellent English spoken which makes for nice interactions. Nuyomen the manager was present each evening in the restaurant and is very interesting, telling us about the local customs and even invited us to a local gathering.

Like most accommodation in Bali there are signs it was once in better form. Broken tiles, a pool table that is now wrecked but still there piled high with stuff.

they are not bambu houses. the pictures are better than the reality. they try to rip you off if you book a driver there

the location was okay but all the roads were broken. they have amazing views to the rice fields

Nice but too expensive

The view from the restaurant is nice. Breakfast nice. Staff nice. Silence place and relaxing.

No one in the reception mostly of time. No worth the money just for the view of the mountain from the restaurant. There are so many more options around which are so much cheaper and nice. At least our room did not have Mountain View. Around 10 minutes far away from the main road.

It was totally worth it!

We stayed here 4 nights, this is an exceptionally good hotel, the staff created a place which felt like family, even the food tasted like home cooked. We only at in the hotel restaurant. We also had the most basic room which a stunning view on rice fields and the mount Agung. Btw breakfast is included, it is the best rice with egg I have ever had.

Nothing. Nights are chill, some people might not like it, but it felt prefect for me.

Great mountain view! Really pleasant. Home made food, simple but good (garlic chicken with vegetables). Everyone of the staff is really nice. Definitely worths, specially considering the price.

Great if you love nature and views, facilities should be better

The view is amazing, the possibility to dine in a boot in front of the rice terrace was a nice touch. The balcony was also very nice!

The roof is laid on top of the wall with spaces so the room is not really closed, the bathroom is partially open too. Overall the cleaning wasn't great and for the price I feel like it's missing on some basics.

The view of Mount agung is absolutely breathtaking! The rooms were nice and large with a nice balcony. We spent most of our time on the balcony admiring the view

One thing I didn't like was the shower floor... it is very uncomfortable with the stones they used Everything else was perfect and clean

Wonderful place to stay and relax surrounded by Nature. Great view of Mount Agung, very peaceful place, only sounds of Nature. Close to Klungkung city and Besakih Temple to visit. The staff are very nice, Nyoman and Wayang are very king and help you in any demand. Cute animals around. You can take a walk around beautiful rice fields view. I took a canang lesson and loved it. Highly recommend!

Splendid place to stay!

Absolutely beautiful location, great start to climb Mt Agung. The staff are extremely friendly and always happy to help. Small kittens, chicks, ducks all around - all in all a great place right in the middle of nature.

If this place were a dish, I would describe it as a “delicious” one. Really, absolutely everything here has made tastefully, starting from the choice of location ending with dishes in the restaurant (we’ve had a soft spot for local Soto Ayam, in particular), and an incredible hospitality from the staff and owners’s side had become the cherry on the cake. And despite we had hardly seen a majestic Mt.Agung in all its glory during our two-days stay, we were really enjoying the time we spent here, at this fantastic place.
