Beautiful place to stay for a short time

Excellent location, near the waterfalls and a short walk (200 m.) from the city center. The view of the Macedonian plane is majestic. Excellent breakfast, which is a buffet served in the adjacent "Four Seasons" hotel (10 m. away). The A/C works fine.

The shower area has a glass separation only at one side, whereas at the other side there is not even a curtain. Installing a curtain doesn't cost much. Also, there is no refrigerator. We arrived during a heat wave (40° C) and had to be buying bottles of cold water from the city shops, bottles however that would be warmed up in a few hours. The wifi signal is too weak, but this seems to be a problem in the entire city of Edessa. Overall, however, we've had a very positive experience.

A fabulous guest house - really pretty and unusual

Beautiful guest house with amazing view and lovely room. Gorgeous shared lounge and balcony. Location was excellent for the waterfalls and restaurants. The staff were really friendly and helpful.

The breakfast was a bit limited. It was in the sister hotel just a minute away though which was lovely to visit.

Edessa was wonderful and the Varosi Guest House was so pretty and accommodating. The room and the living area outside the room was very nice and comfortable. The staff was very helpful and kind. The value was terrific.

An amazing guesthouse in the heart of the old neighborhood of Varosi. The fireplace in the living room, the big and relaxing sofas, and the receptionists' warm welcome make a pleasant atmosphere! It is definitely worth a second visit!

Atmospheric and Charming

This is the type of place you like to linger. It has wonderful homey atmosphere. Our bedrooms were beautifully decorated. I love the handmade crocheted curtains in traditional Greek style and gorgeous embroidered tablecloths and other handmade touches throughout. There are several comfortable shared spaces, a sitting room with sofas you sink into and don’t want to get up from, also a cosy shady veranda to relax and sip a tea and read a book. The place has attentive and friendly staff. A delicious breakfast was served in their atmospheric other hotel, Varosi 4 Seasons, a few buildings over.

Superb

Lovely traditional B&B just minutes' walk from the waterfalls and city centre. The room and reception areas were done up to feel like your grandma's house rather than a hotel, so we felt at home right away. Loved the tea and coffee facilities and robe and slippers!

It was very confusing as to how to get in after the reception closed. We were given two keys and assumed the one not for our room was for the front door, but it didn't work. There was a sign saying 'other door 15m', but the only doors we found appeared to be for people's homes. There was no side entrance or back door etc we could see. After trying for 30 min to get in (at 2am) we had to reluctantly phone the owner, who came to let us in through the front door and then yelled at my partner for trying to climb the fence to get in through the balcony doors on the first floor. It was risky, sure, but warranted considering our desperation and desire to not wake anyone up! Why was it not explained to us which key was for which door, and how to get in after 11pm? The receptionist saw us head out at 10.30pm and shuld have known we'd be back late! A damper on an otherwise great stay.
