The location and the coffee machine
10.0 / 10.0
The property was right in the old town with the best view of the sea and mountains. It was so clean and well maintained. Shops are restaurants all around the property made it so convenient.
The taxi pickup/ drop area is 5-10 mins away from the property as it is located in the old town. Had to push the trolleys till there was a bit hard.

Location is perfect right at the heart of the old town. The staff was very friendly.
The room needs some maintenance, it’s not clean even with daily cleaning and it always had a smell of moisture. I didn’t like the breakfast, because it was lacking healthy options and it was based on a menu with limited options and not a buffet.

Beautiful hotel in the old town of Budva! The rooms are really well done, spacious and the beds are like sleeping on a cloud. The rooms had sea views which was a great way to wake up in the morning.
Breakfast is amazing, lots of variety, freshly made and good quantity as well. Staff is very friendly, would recommend staying at this hotel whenever you’re visiting Budva! Either for a day or for a longer time: it’s worth it!
One of the rooms had a bit of a funky smell, but that moved away quite quickly after opening the windows.

The location is brilliant. The staff were lovely and very helpful, we were made to feel very welcome. The included breakfast is fantastic and very generous, coffee is great! Rooms are a very good size with a small living room space too.
Minor thing but we struggled to find the reception initially. I was surprised to find the coffee machine in the room was not complementary, each pod was €3 which seemed expensive as a coffee out is less than this. However, this was sign posted very clearly.

Breakfast was generous, tasty and good value. Great view of the marina from the rooms. Nicely decorated and spacious with a useful sofa area.
Fridge was not cold. Lack of complimentary tea and coffee.

La Villa is in a picturesque location.
Beds are comfortable.
Breakfast is made to order, fresh and plentiful.
Staff is pleasant and helpful.
Wifi is good.
The room was not clean nor well looked after. There were stains on walls and floors.
Bathroom vanity wood was warped.
Don’t be on lower floor….hard floors transmit all noises from above.
Bed linens are too small for size of mattress.
Furnishings are worn.
We were surprised that they would charge 3 euros for coffee pods that should be free.
Parking in the vicinity is very difficult making drop-off difficult.

The location of the hotel was good .Right inside the old city walls. The room was nice except some aspects needed to be repaired .For example the wooden shelf under the bathroom sink was really weathered and needs to be replaced .
The reception staff and the waitress that served breakfast were lovely .
Unfortunately I had a nightmare flight to Tivat ,and I missed a nights accomodation .I informed the hotel immediately .Although the reception staff tried ,the owner refused to refund the nights accomodation .This was a little disappointing ,as I was hoping he would find it in his heart to do the right thing .
A bit of human compassion goes a long way .Its a pity that the owner showed no signs whatsoever

Amazing stay inside the old town walls in Budva. Great location for exploring and we were endlessly entertained watching the Super yachts outside our window. The rooms are huge and the AC wonderful during the European heatwave. Warm welcome from reception with lots of local tips. Breakfast was exceptional.
Parking in public car park is very busy and expensive.

Room was great and oversaw the port. Very comfortable. Clean. Awesome staff. Great location in old town. Delicious breakfast included. Highly recommend!!
The safe wasn’t working first day but they repaired. AC was hard to figure out.

The hotel is in a great location and is very nice overall. The staff is lovely and helpful!
The airconditioning wasn't working and we weren't told about this when we checked in. This definitely affected the comfort of the stay.

Location was perfect, inside the walls but right on the water’s edge - great views from all rooms. Rooms were large and comfortable and immaculately clean. Design is what I call ‘Baltic Chic’, simple but refined. Good breakfast. Super friendly and helpful staff (made restaurant reservations for us).
Just note there is no elevator - so not suitable for anyone with mobility issues. Would suggest curtains should be blackout as it was light very early in the morning at this time of the year.
My only other suggestion would be to better utilise the breakfast garden area with some lounge seating for a relaxing outdoor space for guests (just a thought - not a negative by any means)

Everything , everyone was so welcoming, the room was beautiful, breakfast was amazing. Will definitely come again soon.
There are a lot of stairs, should be taken into consideration, but the view from inside the old city and being so close to everything is absolutely worth it.

Incredibly beautiful room! The view from the window is worth the cost of the room. Breakfast is good, you can choose from many options. Breakfast was in a very cozy restaurant. The location is gorgeous, in the heart of the old city! The hostess is a very nice girl who helped us with good advice and solved all our questions! Thanks :)

The view from our room was stunning looking out into the marina. Our room was large with the bed and sitting area with nice modern finishings. Breakfast in the morning was amazing where you get to order off the menu, not a buffet.
It's not a true hotel it's more like renting room. If you want a true hotel experience, this more like a vrbo which didn't bother us. This wasjust a surprise navigating where to go to our rooms, check in, and finding the breakfast location. During breakfast, they offer latte's etc. which are not included in the complimentary breakfast . This caught us un prepared as we just went for breakfast with only tip money. Just be prepared for additional up charges that are not clear.

The view from the property is beautiful. The location is great given it's situated near the old town whilst overlooking the sea. The room is spacious and large.
The air-conditioning did not work during our stay and despite calling the staff to help with the issue, there was no one to help. We waited late into the night for someone to sort out the issue but had no luck. We checked in late and the staff attending to us was high on drinks. Not sure why but he decided to join us for dinner on the pretext of sharing a "welcome drink". The breakfast service was extremely slow, again with no staff around post the first round of orders were taken. It's not a buffet service so you need someone to help with even the basics like toasts/ tea etc. After waiting for 30 mins, we gave up.

I stayed in the room on the third floor. It was great value for money, with a lot of space compared to other hotels and stunning views of both the yacht port and the old town. The staff were very kind and helpful; they offered a welcome drink on arrival and a delicious à la carte breakfast.

Prime Location, Exceptional Room, Wonderful Host & Nice Breakfast.
The sea view from the window added the charm.
Host was accommodating and delightful.
Nothing as such.
Some of the coffee amenities in the room should be added in the price of the stay.

the view from the room.
good location.
perfect breakfast
it Is an excellent but small hotel, 5 rooms, so no stuff to help you at night if you need help.
I had not been able to use the TV and none at night to get help With that.
but otherwise it was more than OK.

The hotel is perfectly designed: an old mansion, located on the bay with a beautiful view, charming design, and well-equipped rooms.
But all of this was overshadowed by the service. The rooms in some areas need renovation, some light bulbs in the lamps need replacement, some outlets don’t work, and the bed is wobbly. And apparently, none of the staff seems to care about these issues, even though they are impossible not to notice.
On the day of arrival, we managed to check into our room only at 6:00 PM. Initially, they tried to put us in a different room, insisting that all rooms are the same. We had to explain the difference between a King and a Deluxe Suite. It turned out our room wasn’t cleaned, so they started cleaning it and finished by 6:00 PM. After discovering non-working outlets, we had to change the room again—to a hastily and poorly cleaned one, with dust and hair, burnt-out bulbs, and an unpaid TV service.
I must note their willingness to compensate for the issues; they treated us to lunch at the hotel’s expense while we waited for our room.
Upon check-out we asked to extend the room until 12:00 PM due to an important work Zoom call. At 10:20 AM, a cleaner entered the room, insisting that check-out time was at 10:30 AM, even though it is officially 11:00 AM. Our request not to be disturbed led to a strange argument with management which was surprising given that the check-in time is 3:00 PM, and our room was cleaner than when we arrived, not requiring a four-hour cleaning. I had to remind our troubles with checking in.
Breakfast: we came 20 minutes before it ended. The set breakfast includes drinks, which were not served. After waiting and searching for a waiter, we were told, when asking for coffee, that breakfast had ended and we should have come earlier.
Wifi was unstable and below 5 mbit ps.
All of this significantly marred the experience of an initially wonderful hotel.
Like many hotels in the Balkans, the local service is in need of experienced managers with international and ideally Western European experience and an understanding of standards.

What an amazing experience! It was like having your own house, cozy and comfortable, in the best location in Budva. Best restaurants and cafes are around the corner. Cute taxi boats in front of the hotel. Private beach with sunbeds, nice music, food and drinks makes you feel like a movie star. But the best part was our perfect host Ana that made us feel like we came to visit our family member. Whatever we needed, in the morning in the evening, she was there to help us like a dearest friend. We will always come back to La Villa!!
There is nothing that one can not like.

This place has an amazing location and Katarina is doing an amazing job at the reception!
She made our stay unique and is truly a gem.
During the peak season, the old town is suffuring from bad smell some days. Nothing to deal with the hotel but still annoying to experience that.

Location, staff was very helpful and understanding. Good breakfast.
There was a problem with the bathrooms sewer, smelly drains very unpleasant smell throughout all the apartments. Sadly we had to move out looking for another accommodation. Apparently it’s a problem with the old town sewer after it rains.

The location is fantastic, right in the centre of the old town with an abundance of restaurants and bars on your doorstep and the most spectacular view of the sea from the bedroom. The bedroom was a good size and beautifully decorated. The breakfast was great with a good selection to choose from. However what made the most difference was the staff, everyone was very friendly and accommodating. Anna who manages the hotel was exceptional, she helped plan activities, book restaurant reservations and arranged for help with our luggage. Anna went above and beyond to ensure we had the best experience possible and by the end of our stay, we felt like we had gained a new friend. We highly recommend this hotel.
Nothing, we liked everything.

The location is fantastic, the team is very friendly and helpful. Great comfort, very clean, big room very quiet. A great stay!
There is an unpleasant smell coming out of the bathroom, couldn't get rid of it during my 3 days stay (I give 10 anyway as everything else is great)
Please be aware there is no elevator to reach the rooms
