Hotel Butua Residence

We stayed here for 10 days at the end of May. This location is a hidden gem. It is not perfect. It has its flaws, but from a value standpoint it excels. We paid a fraction of the cost of the ***, yet it was a stones throw away. It is a short walk to Old Town Budva, the beaches, including Mogren beaches. It is close to the harbor and all the beaches and restaurants down the coast. What you give up for this value is a bit of a dated property with no amenities. No restaurant, no gym, no pool, no breakfast off season when we were there. Hot water for a shower was infrequent. At best it was warm. We never quite knew what days our room would be cleaned. They said every other day, but on random days we would have fresh towels and made beds. This was not necessarily a bad thing, and we never found the room untidy or in need of fresh linens or towels. The air conditioning and refrigerator worked well, and the Vola store a 5 min walk away provided a respite from the overpriced restaurants in Budva. The room had plenty of closet space and counter space for our 10 day stay. The TV was small, but we weren't there to watch TV. The gal at reception, who seemed to always be there, all the time, was very responsive to our request for extra pillows, and a blow dryer. Overall, we would recommend this place with its limitations.
