i am sorry but would not stay here again
everything could have been better.it was just an old building that needs a complete renovation. the room was absolutely filthy. if that was my hotel i would be ashamed of the state of it.

Value for money with a fab breakfast 🍳
Parking at the property was provided which is really important to us. The room had been updated which was lovely, breakfast was fantastic and great value for money
The pool area was tired, it would benefit from a little TLC. Our room had frosted glass on the window, you couldn’t see out which made it quite depressing.

Good value accommodation
Great food, both dinner and breakfast. Breakfast was excellent quality. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
The bathroom is desperately needing a refit. No power sockets anywhere near the beds. The front entrance is a very small revolving door, which is difficult to get through with any luggage. Saw many people struggling with this.

The room was a little chilly even with the radiator on. The pool needs refurbishing, ceiling tiles damaged. The entertainment was very loud on Sunday.

Disappointing
Only good thing was the early breakfast (continental) delivered to the room as they don't serve breakfast until 07:15 which is frustrating when you are travelling on business. However i can see the logic when on arrival the hotel is predominantly used by retired people!
The reception experience on arrival wasn't the best as only one member of staff who was engaged with an elderly gentleman discussing the complexities of scones and the application of cream then jam or jam then cream which after a 14 working day wasn't what i was hoping for! Still i now know the correct way to apply Jam and cream to scone which took 10 mins of my life I'll never get back. So finally to the room, well they are a little shabby and well worn the room was spacious, the shower wouldn't adjust in temperature other than skin removing, volcanic eruption temperatures'. I attempted to call reception using the number referenced on the information card "number not recognised". Got dressed walked down to reception the lady explained they'd changed phone service provider a couple of months ago and not updated the info in the rooms! She offered me another room which I moved into but after a long day was just very disappointing in terms terms of the whole experienced, I'd used this hotel as it looked good in the pictures but in reality i think I'll go back to my normal hotel i use for regular business trips to Lytham St Annes,
