Not the greatest experience

I read one bad review and clearly got the same room miles away from the main hotel so many stairs up and down absolute nightmare. First night are dragging two suitcases and bags up and down with three children on my own we went nowhere. In the morning I asked for a room change which I got. The children loved the pool but I slipped and fell no one there to help the corridor to the changing room is lethal when wet

Great location, lovely food and tasty breakfast, friendly staff, great size bedroom and comfy bed, Loved the pool and sauna!

Unfortunately the bedroom was cold, the heating was either not on or not working, there was an electric radiator in the room aswell so obviously other guests had complained or the hotel was aware there was an issue with the heating. The bathroom was even worse, very cold so we did not have a shower instead used the shower by the pool.

Can’t wait to stay again next year.

We have stayed a few times and we just love the place. The kids love swimming and the music. We love the Sunday club. We upgraded to the chimney suite on the last stay and wow it was amazing. The staff are so friendly and we have a few favourite staff members.

Nice hotel from outside but rooms are dated and need a makeover

The location of the hotel is very good with just a short walk to the beach or the shops. The entrance and main public areas are in good condition .

Our double room was small and dated. The doors and woodwork and general decoration is in very poor condition. Curtain rain was damaged and window sill is cracked. We would not stay here again.

Fantastic hotel!

Entertainment was fantastic. Facilities were great. Lots of spaces to relax in like a seperate lounge with TV and games A snooker room/snug room A games room for kids

The shower in our room was very old and the water wouldn't always heat up. (We were in an old part of the building so there were heating issues) However these were dealt with promptly and we were not without heat. The room was superbly decorated with a lovely plush carpet. The shower does need attention as the glass panel didn't reach the bath so there wasn't any sealing to prevent water leaking to the floor. We had to use towels to deal with this.

Great Stay

Lot's of Parking Spaces, Staff Very Helpful and Friendly. Gave me a Portable Radiator upon request, Breakfast was Great and had a Nice selection. Room very clean and comfortable. Pool was great and Free Towels was a Bonus. Had a few Drinks in the Bar and listened to Tony Richards, Great Varied Music and Kids really enjoyed the atmosphere. Will be staying again :).

Radiator in Room 32 was not working, Arcade room could do with an update.

Great Weekend at the Inn on the Prom

It was a family occasion. The staff made us feel very welcome. They went to a lot of trouble and all the little touches they made for the birthday celebration were very much appreciated. We will recommend the hotel to others. My family loved the pool and sauna. The children loved the balloon man and his disco. The room was warm, even though Storm Amy was banging on the windows that weekend.

We like everything but did think the hotel could improve further with a renovation programme, but we realise how expensive this would be.

Long weekend away

The swimming pool , the entertainment on Saturday and Sunday. Location near the beach and town. Staff were excellent and helpful

We didn’t have a good experience and unfortunately won’t be staying at the Inn on the Prom again.

Location - Lytham St Annes, directly on the seafront with promenade and pier. Sea View room - nicely decorated and clean, terrace with seating and sea view. Breakfast – We didn’t have breakfast due to issues with our stay. We had evening meal which was good, hot and tasty.

Unfortunately on arrival to the hotel the main car park as it had been closed off to residents for use of a music/band all afternoon and passing trade. I asked at neighbouring hotels if I could pay to park on their car park and they declined my request. We travelled around for 45 mins trying to find a parking space. We enquired at the Inn on the Prom and were given a map for a Pay and Display car park a mile away (obviously at an extra charge for the evening) and we would have to transport our cases the mile back to the hotel. We questioned this with the hotel on check in and when I showed the Manager the map we were given and she said that was the wrong one!!! Imagine if we hadn’t asked again! We managed to eventually park on the main road but the care and consideration of the residents comfort and ease was far beyond impressive. Apparently this is a regular occurrence when the sun comes out so bear that in mind! Our sea view room was nicely decorated and clean, however the terrace with seating and sea view had some broken tiles and the wall between terraces was low, not giving any privacy. At 6.00am on our day of departure the television in the room lost signal and channels and on looking at the back of the TV the aerial was falling apart and hanging out of the wall. We called reception and asked for a replacement aerial and was told the maintenance man doesn’t start until 8am so call them back then. We decided we didn’t want to just sit from 6am to 8am in a quiet room waiting for breakfast being served at 8am so we packed and checked out at 7am. We paid £181 for bed and breakfast (not including evening meal) but to be told no-one could help our problem we left without having the breakfast we paid for. We felt this to be quite unprofessional and surprising when running a hotel hoping to keep guests happy and possibly returning.

Room revelation!

Excellent location, spacious room with balcony and seating, overlooking the sea with stunning sunset views. Breakfast was good. The outside entertainment in the afternoon is fantastic to chill out to. Easy walk to centre for shopping, bars and cafes as well as the stunning beach.

The description does not reflect the room itself. There is no sauna, no iron/ironing board, no fan. We pointed this out to staff who explained it was booking.com who put the description online. The bed is soft, which is a personal preference, we like a firmer mattress.

Great traditional hotel. Excellent public areas and outside space. Evening and daytime music entertainment. Outdoor bar.
