Comfortable hotel with good food

We were given a self contained appartment with parking just outside. Good location not far from the motorway in a nice quiet village

Practical stop on a long drive through Europe – but do not count with having dinner there.

Location in a quiet village near German-French border. Spacious and comfortable room with a large balcony where you can sit. Very clean. Solid breakfast. Parking on site.

We particularly chose this hotel since it had a restaurant and we wanted to eat there after a long drive. We managed to get there at 19.30 and we were shocked when we were told that we can´t be served and get the dinner – since it is too many guests there already (even when there were free tables) and that we had to telephone before. Something like this never happened to us, and we travel a lot. Another very surprising thing was that the room didn´t have curtains, so it was lit by the light from the parking lot in the night.

Wow!!

We were upgraded to a suite which was newly decorated and really special. The bathroom was spacious and very modern and the whole suite was extremely opulent. We felt very lucky. Breakfast and dinner were good and the staff were very helpful and friendly. The whole place was spotless.

- Nice waiter - Spacious room - plenty of parking space

- Very minimal breakfast especially for vegetarians, poor coffee - We were told there was not enough personnel to cook dinner. This being an intermediate stop made that a major disappointment, the nearest place to eat was a town over. When we returned there was a large crowd of elderly people having dinner. More transparency about the situation would have been nice, especially up front - The room was very warm (No ac) - We requested a bed for a toddler, it was not in the room - very noisy at night, slamming doors etc - generally outdated look

Good value, Friendly staff

Great hotel for visiting Freiburg and the surroundings. Freiburg is only a short ride by car away. Room was spacious, clean and the staff were super friendly. Breakfast is good. The restaurant has good enough food if you don't want to go into the city center, friendly service

Amazing place to stay for explore the Black Forest region (by Car).

A great hotel to stay in the heart of the black forest. The location is perfect as a starting point for 1-2 hour drives to many smaller and interesting villages in the region. It is a much better place to stay than in Freiburg City itself which is crowded, expensive and finding parking is very hard. The hotel itself is very cosy, comfortable, clean and has a nice vibe. The staff is very helpful and the wifi was also great.

The breakfast options were limited and the quality was below average for such a place.

The entire staff provided a great atmosphere,which made you feel very comfortable in spite of the Covid 19 restrictions. A beautiful room with a skylight over the bed allowing us to see the stars (I must admit it was an unrequested and very nice surprise upgraded suite). We also liked the beautifully decorated dining room and the dinner, definitely the highlight at the end of our Europe trip.

Nice hotel

We stayed here two night on our way back to home. We wanted to visit Freiburg and Staufen. Witch is really worth a visit. The hotel is fine. We had a large room with balcony. Nice view on the horses. Breakfast was alright, but I have had better in Germany. Restaurant was verry nice. Good German food. Everything was as clean as you can expect from a German hotel. The staff was verry nice and helpful. Rooms are quite large and you can let down the rollers so no light will come in the room in the morning. It stated it had airco in the room but it is more of a temperature control. Did not really went cold in the room. But if you leave the windows open you will be fine. Nice large bed. Overall nice hotel.

freundliches Personal, Parkplatz genügend vorhanden

Zimmer war kalt (Heizung aus!) sehr kleines Zimmer keine Gläser Frühstück nur bis 10 Uhr Cappuchino schmeckte nach nichts wir hatten bestellt: Suppe, dann danach nochmals Suppe und Vorspeise. Nach der ersten Suppe dauerte es gefühlt Jahre, bis endlich der 2. Gang kam - für meine Zwecke nicht akzeptabel, denn ich bat mehrmals, schneller zu reservieren ja, stimmt, man kann die Autobahn hören
