It was by the lake.
The room was not ready for us on arrival. We specifically booked double bed for my aunt and single bed for me. There was an intern on reception who was not trained up. Her knowledge of the facilities and area was very limited. The breakfast was a little limited compared with the Mona hotel we stayed at for two nights. Whilst we waited for the room to be made up they offered us a drink which should have been free due to the inconvenience of having to wait.

Proximity to the tram stop and railway station. Room had an excellent view of lake Geneva.

Location was excellent being a little way out of the busier town centre (10 mins walk), but with regular buses into the centre, and train station.
It was worth paying a little extra for the lake view, and balcony. The gardens and terrace were beautiful.
No mirror in the bedroom, only in bathroom-but that was the only very minor thing .

Beautiful location on the edge of the lake with lovely landscaped gardens and direct access onto the pretty flower lined lakeside promenade. Easy walk to the main part of Montreux and beyond, and a convenient nearby bus route along the lake in both directions. Definitely worth paying extra for a balcony with a lake view. Bedroom was a good size and comfortable. The public areas are attractively designed with nice ambient lighting. Lovely to sit on the outside terrace bar especially in the evening. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Nothing unless you like being ripped off.
Upon check in to the hotel, we asked if the hotel offered laundry service. The items list was filled out and provided to customer service. Customer service was questioned about the pricing serval times and they notified me that pricing would be confirmed once the laundry had assessed what items where to be washed, as they need to see the types of materials etc. I asked for this to occur before the washing was completed.
Upon check out we were notified by customer service that we had no outstanding bill. I queried this as we hadn’t paid the city tax and or our bar tab. The clerk confirmed we didn’t owe anything. After a couple hours I was charged 170 francs by the hotel, I asked for receipts and found out they had charge 106 chf ($200 aud) for washing not even 1/4 of a load of washing, which was made up of mainly socks and undies. This is mental. I also occurred international transaction charges as I didn’t account for CHF transaction of that amount out of my account as the hotel confirmed there was no outstanding amount.
I did not authorise this transaction or signed anything to say they could debit this amount.
I emailed them to discuss these concerns and they have not provided any solution on the issue and have said bad luck.
They aren’t even taking accountability on the customer service person telling us no money was owing. They simple are chasing coin over service. How can any hotel charge $200 aud for washing not even a load of washing. They definitely didn’t wash it in gold cause I’m broke after that. Oh and to make the $200 washing even better, my black and white stripped top come out grey…. At the time I didn’t want to be a Karen but once I saw the charge for this, I feel it’s warranted.
I do not recommend staying here if you want to be ripped off.

Once again I am a guest of the hotel and I want to express my immense gratitude to the reception team, the culinary gurus in the hotel, but especially to Ara - a lady part of the waiters' team, who with her charm, as well as her perfect knowledge in the field of tourism and service, put us at ease many times, helped us in choosing a menu for meals and wines. Thank you for your high standards, responsibility and competence. See you soon!

Lovely hotel, great location on the lake, easy to walk everywhere but also many modes of transport on offer very close to the hotel. Would definitely stay here again. The breakfast room and food were excellent. Also a nice outdoor terrace serving food and drink and gardens for relaxing in. The staff were very friendly and polite.
Our room was cooled by a large fan which unfortunately was too noisy for sleeping so we had ti turn it off. The room did become too hot during the night. I understand some rooms have air conditioning.

A superb old style elegant hotel right on Quai des Fleurs, with a spectacular view of Chillon Castle, Lake Geneva, and the mountains beyond! We stayed here back in 2012 and my wife has been dreaming of going there ever since! And the hotel gave us the very same lakeside room as the last time! Much appreciated!
Pricey, but given the location, comfort, service, and elegance - not to mention the included breakfast in that lovely breakfast room - the price was probably relatively modest.

The hotel’s location is excellent — close to the lake promenade, about 2 km from Chillon Castle, and right near the 201 bus stop, which made it easy to reach the train station. The view from our room overlooking Lake Geneva was beautiful and peaceful. The room was clean, spacious, and fully carpeted, which added to the coziness. The bed was comfortable, the pillows were good, and extra ones were available. We appreciated the kettle and tea-making amenities, as well as the rare inclusion of body lotion. The bathroom was well-equipped overall, and the Wi-Fi connection was strong. Most importantly, the staff were friendly, welcoming, and spoke good English — they made us feel at home. Despite the warm temperature in the room, the provided fan and open balcony doors made sleeping comfortable.
The room was quite warm during the day, and although the fan helped, it wasn’t a pedestal fan, so the airflow wasn’t ideal. The breakfast was underwhelming with limited variety and average taste. The bathroom sink design was awkward — small, round, and placed in a way that made it uncomfortable to use. Additionally, the shower had inconsistent water temperature, switching between cold and suddenly hot, which made it less relaxing. Lastly, the room key tag was unnecessarily large and bulky, which felt a bit inconvenient to carry

Directly facing Lac Leman and 5 min away from Montreux Gare by bus, the location is perfect. It's also fairly close to Chateau de Chillon, which takes 30 min on foot. The hotel itself has an old world charm about it but has all the modern comfort. And, to our pleasant surprise we were upgraded to a room with full lake view. The staff at the front desk were friendly and courteous. All in all, a very pleasant stay indeed.
Nothing worthy of note.

Of very high standard. The perfect place to stay looking out on to beautifully cared for gardens, stunning lake and mountains. The staff were exceptional and so were the rooms. Beautifully appointed and clean. We enjoyed a very tasty breakfast too. Totally recommend.

The room was really good. When we arrived the young lady at the reception Nicole changed our room for a free upgrade. My wife and I were very pleased. The Hotel placed us by the lift as we requested, to help my wife because of her disability. The room had a lake view and the garden was just outside the window. A very unexpected surprise welcome. All the staff were very friendly. The breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice. We will definitely return again, To this beautiful Hotel.

We got a free upgrade to a room with lake view, absolutely amazing. Location is tremendous as its located right on the lake and within walking distance from Montreux's village center.
A couple of cobwebs high up the ceiling could have been cleaned up.
