The location is great in a quiet area overlooking the lake.
The reception has a variety of sitting areas to read or relax.
The room has a balcony with a nice view.
The staff is helpful and friendly.
The room doesn’t have a coffee machine or kettle.
The breakfast options could be better.
The village is very small, it doesn’t have any activities to do, it’s suitable for relaxing.
Overall, it was a good experience.

Staff and food was amazing. Dinner was the best meal of 12 nights in Italy. Right on the lake, great views.
A little off the beaten path, but, oh well. We picked this one without out fully realizing extra time next morning. Our fault tho.

We had the BEST room (103)! It was beautiful and had french doors that opened up to the largest balcony on the property facing the lake. Beautiful!!!
No frig in the room. No ice machine. The location was somewhat remote and therefore not convenient for sight seeing or shopping. There was not really any consierge services. They had the bus schedule (and even got that wrong on one occasion, causing us to miss our bus), but that was really all the information they could offer.

The views of the lake were exceptional, paid parking on site a bonus, Reception Staff helpful.
The bed was made up of two below average single mattresses that moved; shower was very small and if aged or disabled - it would’ve been a struggle; seating at outdoor dining area was hierarchical - didn’t matter if you were there first; Wait staff at dinner & breakfast were less than friendly; No fridge or tea/coffee facilities - availability in the area very limited; the ferry that stops from Lugano does so on Tuesday & Sunday only. Not good value for money.

A beautiful find.
Loved our stay

Beautiful location, terrace, and sun lounging deck with access to the lake for swimming. So much potential. On a hot summers day I imagine the terrace is fantastic.. sadly it rained for us!
Very helpful staff, the security guard in particular was very accommodating in allowing us to leave early in the morning to beat the Milan traffic.
The property is quite dated, and could be improved with a cosmetic uplift in the rooms. The room was a bit dusty, and had a slight “musty” smell.
Tip: Keep your windows closed in the evening to avoid midges from the lake flying into your room (we made this mistake!) - don’t forget you’re close to the lake.

The location of this hotel is amazing, right on the waters edge.
Apart from the location there isn’t really much to praise. The hotel seems stuck in a Swiss/Italian version of Fawlty Towers given that neither the decor nor set-up hasn’t been upgraded since the 1980s. For example, breakfast tables are decided in advance by the hotel and clearly positioned in order of the guest’s importance. Perhaps as a consequence the staff seem very tired and fed up with their jobs: when we left the manager didn’t even look up when saying goodbye. Of course, some may find this old-school style and running of a hotel charming.
A more practical issue was that 20€ was charged (on top of the 15€ for parking) for EV charging regardless of how much electricity was used. This wasn’t communicated in advance.

The view from the balcony was excellent
The rooms where quiet
The sunbeds directly at the lake
The lovely private garden where you can have breakfast and diner
The beds are all single, short and narrow. We asked for a different room but apparently there are no double beds
Note: I'm 2.04m
They didn't provide us with any information on the facilities of the hotel nor any advise on the surroundings

The views are stunning, the gardens are beautiful, every way you look there's an amazing view. The hotel interior is also beautifully done. All the staff are lovely and very efficient, everything you would hope for. The food was the best quality.
Everything perfect.

The location is superb with direct access to the beautiful Lake. All very calm and serene, only the swan swims by here and then.
Breakfast and other meals are served outside in a beautiful garden/terrace with Lake view.
Hotel itself is in the 60ies style wich suits the surrounding, all neat and clean.

The hotel is lovely, old charm but perhaps could be smarter. The rooms are fine , fairly basic but with a view to die for. The owners are kind and helpful. There is a food shop opposite the entrance which is handy and there are 2 more eating establishments in the village.
It’s peaceful and quiet, no sign of a HM store.
Breakfast was good but not great. Certainly a lot of staff serving.
The rooms could be more luxurious but then the prices should increase, they are reasonably priced now

Beautiful family hotel on the shores of the lake. The room was cozy with a balcony and a view of the lake. The morning swim in the lake was an experience. The staff was nice, friendly and helpful. Dinner in the hotel restaurant was delicious. The only minus was the breakfast - a bit small menu, despite this the hotel has my highest rating and I highly recommend it.

The location of this hotel was really outstanding .If you are a summer visitor the hotel provides a lakeside location with swimming in the lake and where the restaurant extends onto the garden terrace. The restaurant service is of the highest quality, with the waiters trained to serve at table. They were very attentive and well supervised. The food was well prepared as one might expect. There was a good choice ,both in the evening and in the morning, when an omelette with a choice of fillings was a pleasing addition. The room was spacious with a balcony overlooking the lake.
There is limited garage parking available; but we thought this option too expensive ,given the option of public parking metres further on. The sleep quality was affected by the quality of pillows, too hard for our liking.

Everything! A beautiful location on the quiet and tranquil Lake Lugano.
The effortless style and originality.
The food in the restaurant and the stunning location to eat and relax.
The birdsong and quiet mornings.
All in all just perfect.
Thank you 🙏🏻

The Hotel is directly on the lake with a romantic terrace and garden with shady nooks and a beautiful view wherever you sit. A sundeck on the lakeside provided easy access for swimmers. The room was spacious and the bed extremely comfortable. A morning Lakeside view from the room was always a good start to the day.
The restaurant had a small menu (end of season), but everything was well cooked and presented, the service impeccable.
The breakfast did not fit in with the good image of the rest of the Hotel. It was "microscopic" and every day the same. One German guest remarked that it was not what you would call "reichhaltig". Definately, an understatement! That no one complained, shows perhaps how well the guests rated the other services.
Parking, as on most lakeside Hotels, was a problem. They did their best, however.

the view from the room is super beautiful. the hotel is very classic and its opened since maybe 1910. we love the place
the breakfast choice is very simple. the balcony and the terrace at night have no lighting at all. it's very dark.

Great location, the room was clean , bathroom getting dated
Breakfast wasn’t included, parking at the hotel at extra cost , where parking should be included.
Not all the staff were helpful and friendly.

the location is very romantic breakfast anddinner at the waters edge. you can relax by the lake before swimming in it. great walks from the hotel but up hill and taxing. good restaurant with a menu it will take 4 days to get bored with.
it is quite dated, no tea making facilities in the room, air conditioning was not working, no fridge in the room

It is conveniently located, next to Lugano. Has nice view from windows. Good restaurant, tasty food. Staff in reception is extremely helpful and flexible.
Rooms are rather small and beds (especially pillows) are not so comfortable, probably my expectations were on the high side.

We liked the room with a balcony overlooking the lake. We were pleased that we could reserve a parking place. The outside dining area was very nice.
We didn’t feel to be made welcome by the dining staff, who were bordering on being rude! We didn’t like the fact that the tables are pre allocated for evening meals and breakfast, we sat next to the same couple on both and the tables were too close for any privacy. We didn’t like how breakfast was served, no options, no buffet, just bringing out random breakfast items to the table whether you wanted them or not! In fact everyone else got a boiled egg but we didn’t? The dining staff need retraining on how to provide customer service, and the breakfast arrangements need a review!

An excellent location on the Lake, with easy access to the water for swimming. We enjoyed a lovely meal at the front of the hotel right on the shores of Lake Lugano. Very helpful and friendly staff. A good choice!
