Long walk to get to a restaurant, but otherwise isolated and austere. Hearty breakfast redeems it.

Breakfast was good and typical of the youth hostel experience. The location initially appeared isolated, but after a long walk we found an excellent restaurant that salvaged the experience.

Hostel was a bit spartan, which is typical. We felt the location was isolated from the town, and far from any activities. Hostels can be a bit expensive these days in terms of the alternative accommodation offerings and require you to make the bed and unmake the bed. Good for youth, but not a learning experience for adults.

The place is a bit for from city center, but as least there is bus stop whose bus frequency is 30min.

Bad experience

just breakfast

When booking booking we chose private bathroom and free parking but there is no private bathroom and WC they took us outside the facility to find a place on the street for parking. Although we told the lady at the reception that there should be a private bathroom with the help of a translator, she showed us something like a contract made with booking with an angry attitude, of course we did not understand I think she meant booking's mistake. We took our sheets and collected them ourselves. There was a complete ward arrangement, we left without even taking a bath, we have stayed in much better places for cheaper prices but this place was a bad experience for us. Booking, since you added a private bathroom and parking feature to this place, our trust in you has also been shaken, just so you know.

Pleasant

The location in the park is good, only 2min to the bus stop. The bedsheets are clean. The breakfast was tasty and in buffet form but everyday the same food is served. The lockers in the room are good.

Despite that there is a bus connection to the city centre, it is not very convenient. There was a smell of mould in the room. The small bedlamps were not working. The shower was just okay, but not super clean and just old. There are very few sockets in the room.

Good

Jugendherberge (in general) isn't exactly a hostel. This one is like a camp, there are groups here and there and the cows are walking around in the field nearby and the area is foresty. It's cheap and good for a night or two. And the breakfast is included.

- A bit far. There is just 1 bus that goes there every 30 min or so - Shower was just dumm. Very high up and there were like 5 separate thin streams. I can't say I felt very cleaned up after it

Quite cheap accomodation close to the Aachen centrum. Staff wad polite.

A bit noisy, eslecially clapping boors. Avoid of rooms near of main door on the floor. You will hear everyone coming through.

One member of the team was nice.

Mattress are covered with a thick rubber cover which inhibits any air circulation. The bed lining had more of a hospital vibe than bringing comfort. Breakfast is really not worth the money.
