Very friendly and welcoming bed and breakfast was spotless breakfast excellent good choice Suzy and Paul excellent hosts Would highly recommend. It's around a 15-minute walk into town along the sea front Would definitely stay again when visiting torquay.😁

Absolutely nothing

breakfast was excellent and the home made waffles was to die for. suzy and paul were great hosts making sure you had everything you wanted. Paul even took us back to the station and saw us of on the train.

To have stayed longer with so many places to visit and paul and suzy to guide you where and how to go made it easy. transport was easy and plentyful.

Couldn’t recommend Marmalade enough, Suzy and Paul were both amazing, polite, helpful and friendly. There was a young lad helping serve breakfast in the morning who was also very friendly and helpful. The building itself looks a little small from the outside but once you get in it is surprisingly spacious, as well as delightfully decorated, clean and obviously well loved and cared for. Little features i never would have thought to expect made all the difference, for example the breakfast room which is the little conservatory style extension you can see in the listing, had tinted glazing on the roof panels, so the morning sun wasn’t an issue. As someone with overly sensitive eyes, i spend my life squinting so that really stood out to me. The room itself, was lovely. The aesthetic was delightful, there was a selection of teas, coffee and hot chocolate to use with the provided kettle, and a mini fridge inside the wardrobe with fresh milk rather than a pile of little pre-sealed plastic pots of fake milk. Also bottled water in the fridge. Spacious and comfortable, with blinds and curtains to use. And the bed was perfect for me, soft but firm. Like it’s giving you a hug but you don’t sink into the mattress. No annoying creaky bedposts that make you think you will wake up other guests every time you roll over. The tv and free wi-fi were both as functional as they needed to be. En-suite bathroom facilities were everything they needed to be, functional and clean. The sink is located in the bedroom while toilet and shower are separate, plenty of towels and all the soaps you could need. I was a little concerned the shower might be a little cramped when i saw it, being a larger man. But once you are in with the door closed, it’s actually quite roomy. Breakfast was delicious, Suzy explained what would be available to help ourselves to on the counter and took our order the night before when we checked in.

The only downside was the breakfast room is a little cramped, if all three tables had been in use at once i would have felt a little uncomfortable being so close to the other guests. Obviously the size of the room can’t be helped, but if i was organising it i might put the table with all the leaflets and brochures in the hallway to see if i could space the tables out a little more. But thinking about it the doors might make that impossible.

Lovely breakfast. Comfortable room, with cosy bed. Good shower. Fresh milk provided for tea/coffee.

Parking is a bit tight

The owners are lovely and kind. They made us feel at home and even gave us a lift to town. Well located. Breakfast excellent. Customer service superb. The room is big, tidy, clean and full of everything you need including a fan as it can get hot.

Excellant B&B near to Torquay! Room and ensuite very good lovely sized bathroom and a very comfortable bed a more than decent mattress! Breakfast very good but for us very important on site parking in total a very nice stay with lovely hosts.

Suzy and Paul are a great couple. Nothing was too much trouble. Stayed in Clementine room, both bedroom and bathroom very spacious , clean, compy and with lovely bedding. A* Breakfast Hope to see you again soon x x x

Friendly welcoming and accommodating hosts. Paul and Suzy really do go out of their way for you. We had to leave our car at a driven to location until morning, and Paul very kindly gave us a lift the next morning to pick it up. The relaxed checkout is a bonus, and I can honestly say we have never had this anywhere else we have stayed before. Both are very knowledgeable and interesting people who are enjoying what they do, and it shows. We loved hearing your stories and Pauls jokes, too. Thank you

The place felt extremely homely, even the little additional items added, hot water bottle and any forgotten toiletries. Suzy and Paul were extremely welcoming and amazing hosts. The breakfast was delicious, the bed was extremely comfy and the room itself was beautiful. Just what we needed for a little escape away.

The hosts were really wonderful and welcoming. They answered our questions on restaurant recommendations. They were relaxed and chatted to us. The parking outside was good. The room was good, comfy and clean. It had everything you needed for a short stay. The breakfast was nice and there was a good selection of items. Good walking distance to centre and in a good place to explore the surrounding areas.

We just had the best 3 days staying at Marmalade BB this was our 4th stay here we can’t fault anything, Suzy & Paul are so helpful and knowledgeable about places to visit , the room was big, spotless with lovely decor , we had a choice for breakfast which was lovely (banging) 😂thank you both for making us so welcome ! 10/10

What was really nice was the personal touches suzie a and Paul are really nice couple the room was spotless and they couldn't have done more to help. Susie's breakfast where lovely from the full breakfast to my waffles and the pouched eggs muffin and salmon she organised time so we had a freshly cooked breakfast not like a premier inn where it stands all morning. My husband loved her cups of tea,they fresh fruit ,I could not fault them at all if your wanting a 5 star b&b with a personal touch marmalade b&b is the place to be.Thankyou for our stay Paula and Richard

I'm so pleased we booked to stay a few days at Marmalade B&B , the hosts were a fabulous couple called Paul & Suzy who made our stay as comfortable as they could and went above and beyond to help us or get us things for our room etc. We had a lovely, freshly cooked, hot breakfast cooked fresh to order by Suzy, which was delicious. The bedroom was comfortable and had everything in it. Suzy even made little cakes in our room to welcome us, what a lovely touch mmmmm! Thank you! We would definitely recommend you stay here and if were back up that way we will definitely be booking again. Thank you Paul & Suzy , love Lynn & Peter Sells xx

A very clean and tidy B&B Agood choice for breakfast. No rush in the morning for departure. A friendly cooker of hosts

was a very homely cosy property, the room we stayed in was spacious clean and tidy. bathroom was a nice size and had just been refurbished and was decorated gorgeous. breakfast room was nice and cosy had plenty of light. breakfast itself was really nice and tasty with plenty of options. Paul and Suzy were friendly and welcoming when we arrived and during our stay.

a big hill when walking back from town to the property and also a higher handrail outside the property with the steps.

Suzy and Paul were very welcoming and we had a fantastic stay at the Marmalade B&B. It was extremely clean, well presented and modern rooms and the breakfast was exceptional! convenient parking right outside was a bonus, and only a 1 mile walk to bars and restaurants on the front

not a great deal not to like! however the shower was quite poor for a recently refurbished bathroom but did the job!

Fantastic hosts and a wonderful bed and breakfast. Such a wonderful stay. They really do all they can to make sure you have a good time. Susie's cooking is second to none.

Coming home!

Very good location beach and harbour short walk, torre train station two minutes walk. Suzy and Paul excellent host with great knowledge of area. room and house spotlessly clean, lot of breakfast choice very nice.
