The location was excellent to enable us to walk about the town of Stornoway, go to restaurants and find some lovely walking paths. The view from our room out over the town and harbour was super. The large tub in the private bathroom was exquisite after a day of sightseeing and walking. Our host was very helpful in helping us get settled and provided lots of good information.
As the room is a top floor of a home, if one has difficulty with stairs, it might prove a bit difficult. Our host helped us carry our bags up though. The addition of a small fridge to enable us to keep our coffee milk cool would make it perfect. If possible, because there is no specific shower, it would be great if the "shower wand" was able to produce a bit more water pressure.

In my long experience with renting rooms all over the world I have seldom found a place of this level of excellence.
Centrally located, a spacious room with a town and sea view, clean, excellently equipped, extremely reserved and quiet.
The host is a musician who is very fond of and well rooted in Hebrides’ culture. If you are interested, he generously shares his vaste and detailed knowledge of the island. Without him we wouldn’t have discovered so many interesting places.
