Delicious, cozy stay!

We stayed there with our 1 year old baby. The cottage was amazing, nicely decorated, very clean and comfortable. They provided a bed for her. There was a high chair in the restaurant which helped us a lot for the breakfast and dinner. Restaurant was amazing, we didn’t know that there was a gastronomical restaurant in the hotel. The breakfast was also very good. We absolutely loved this place and for sure will visit once a year!

ARROGANT AND DISMISSIVE

Not a lot!

The lady who greeted us blatantly lied when she claimed that we couldn't have a full refund. We booked earlier that day having read the information about the restaurant. There was nothing on the booking.com page to say that it was closed in August. It DID state that it was closed on a Sunday. On arrival she informed us that we would lose all of our booking fee should we not stay despite us booking on the basis that there was a restaurant. The owner then appeared and stated that it was clear that the restaurant was closed, although he failed to show us on the website or on booking.com. He also said we could have a full refund as no money had yet been taken! The staff attitude was wholly arrogant and dismissive. We departed and found suitable accommodation in the town that had a lovely restaurant that was open and onsite. Owners need to display an element of understanding when clients arrive; not be bullish and pedantic. We're sure it's a pleasant place to stay, but our experience, after a very long day's drive was horrendous.

Perfection by the Loire

This is an amazing place to stay and explore the Loire. It is perfectly situated a few km from Blois. We stayed in the suite which is spacious, beautifully decorated and furnished, spotlessly clean and well appointed. The property has a delightful peaceful and shady garden. The hosts are gracious, friendly and helpful. The restaurant has been established for many years and the chef produces delicious gourmet food locally sourced often from their own fruit trees. This was a perfect place to stay and if possible we will return.

Stay at La Tour requires more than one night due its charm.

The room is like a complete apartment with a tremendous effort to make you more than home! Kitchen, bathroom, living/bed room is unsurpassed. Breakfast was okay. The quality of the restaurant, in case the dinner option at this spot is used, would certainly not be disqualified by Michelin. Annie, the hostess, manager and not to underestimate very kind guide for all sort of communications is the pearl onboard.

The hotel was easy to find. Although located at a 'Route Nationale', there was no noise in the room. The room was very clean. The lady of the house was very friendly. The breakfast was good but not extensive. The home made marmelades were excellent. The garden was nice and offered plenty of parking space.

The room was very 'rustique' and in an 'old fashioned' style. The guesthouse (chambre d'hôtes) is an old farm and there were a lot (even too much) of antique objects in the room and in the restaurant. The bad surprise on arrival was that the restaurant of the Relais des Chäteaux' was closed. It was the tuesday after Eastern, but because the restaurant had exceptionally been open on Eastern Monday, the restaurant was closed on the tuesday. Except for a Buffalo grill in the neighbourhood there was no other 'normal' restaurant in a reasonable distance. The remaining one on 400 meter from the guesthouse was unfortunately closed on tuesday....This was disappointing, as after a day of travel and visiting castles, we were looking forward for a good meal.

Exceptional quality and value with a fantastic dining experience.

The Hotel is situated in a quiet rural location within very pleasant grounds with orchards and flower beds. The ambience of the of the restaurant overlooking this scene is absolutely superb. We ate at the restaurant on two occasions during our stay. The French cuisine is outstandly good . Andre's menu combines classical French cooking techniques with intense, seasonal flavours. Some of the ingredients that are part of his acclaimed signature dishes include fresh salmon executed to perfection in a sauce which is a gastronomic sensation. This is a family run hotel and the welcome and friendliness of our host Annie certainly made us feel at home. We stayed in the Deluxe suite. It was extremely spacious and comfortable. We would gladly return and can happily recommend this fine establishment.

A quiet place, nearby the beautifull city of Blois.

The little garden in the center with the wooden chairs are ideal to relax with a book or take a little nap. A complete breakfast is serverd with fresh products and the owner makes sure you have all you need. The restaurant where you can have dinner in the evening is also very good!

Beautiful stay! Le Relais de la Tour is a perfect place to stay close to the castels. It is close to the center and the railway station. The room was very pleasant, it was cozy and clean. Breakfast was excellent and incredibly varied. The staff has always been friendly, patient and helpful. No matter what time of day or night, you could turn to them with all your concerns. On my next stays, I will definitely return.The price performance ratio is very good."

The BEST place to stay with the most amazing food!

This was by FAR our favorite place to stay in all of France! The deacription of Fine Dining on their booking site was spot on. It was the BEST meal we had during our 10 day stay in France. Still drooling thinking about the amazing sea bass in the cozy wood fireplace dining room. It was better than any Hollywood movie in terms of romantic. Annee and her proprietor husband of 45 years were amazing. Do not miss this amazing French Farm house cottage experience! Would stay there for several days on the next trip just to enjoy the area and relax!

Nous sommes venus à Blois pour tenir un stand au CARROIR. La proximité de l'établissement était parfaite. Même plus qu'annoncée sur maps. Nous avons été agréablement accueillis et nous avons reçu une écoute particulière à nos demandes. Le petit déjeuner est gargantuesque mais tellement savoureux avec des produits frais et faits maison (confiture de fruits du jardin), que l'on ne peut résister. La chambre (presque une suite) était confortable et très propre. L'établissement pourtant chargé en décoration variée et subtile était propre. Bravo. Nous le conseillons.

Très jolie chambre (suite junior), très bien équipée. Très bon accueil. Très calme. Grand parking. Possibilité de manger confortablement dans la chambre. Nous n'avons malheureusement pas pu profiter du restaurant fermé pour cause de problème de santé du chef. Proximité des sites touristiques qui nous intéressaient : Domaine de Chaumont, maison de la magie de Blois.

La connexion wifi n'est pas optimale mais c'est certainement du à la structure du bâtiment. Le petit déjeuner est très correct, il pourrait être amélioré avec quelques fruits.

Diese Unterkunft wird mit viel Liebe betrieben. Das Frühstück ist mit selbst eingekochten Marmeladen, gutem Café, Gebäck, Croissant und Baguette hervorragend. Leider konnten wir das Restaurant nicht testen, da krankheitsbedingt geschlossen, wird jedoch sehr empfohlen.

Zufahrt über eine Privatstraße in den großen Hof mit vielen Parkplätze, Bäumen, Büschen und Hühnern. Sehr freundlicher Empfang durch die Gastgeberin, die uns alles zeigte. Das Zimmer ist mit antiken Möbeln und kostbaren Glaswaren ausgestattet (vielleicht nicht unbedingt für kleine Kinder geeignet), Toilette und Duschbad getrennt. Auch ein Kühlschrank mit Getränken ist vorhanden. Das ausschließlich süße Frühstück war reichhaltig und sehr vielfältig Baguette, Pain grillé, Croissant, Pain au chocolat, drei verschiedene selbstgemachte Konfitüren - alles, was man sich wünscht.

Der nächtliche Weg zur Toilette war weit. Aber vor allem bedauerten wir, dass das Restaurant wegen Krankheit des Chefs geschlossen war, denn es scheint sehr gut zu sein und wir hatten das Hotel extra deswegen ausgesucht. Alles Gute für Ihren Mann, Madame!

Decepcionante

La casa es bonita pero la decoración es imposible, sobran 2/3 de los muebles. Está a tres kilómetros del centro

Pensábamos que por 150 euros al día nos harían la habitación y la cama. Pero no. En el baño no había un solo vaso y las toallas eran diminutas. Demasiados objetos y muebles en la habitación, que bien decorada sería muy bonita. Lo mismo en el resto del hotel.

Dès qu'on rentre sur le parking du Relais de la Tour, on est transporté ailleurs... Tout y est charmant et surtout impeccable comme c'est très rarement le cas ailleurs. La tenancière est une dame charmante qui vous soigne au petits oignons et le mot est faible. Nous avons été réellement impressionnés par les petits gestes qui sont tellement précieux de nos jours. Le déjeuner avec des produits maison c'est la cerise sur le gâteau.
