    We had a wonderful time. Though the hotel is not on the lake side, that adds to its charm: with great views and without the crowds. It is a bit of an uphill walk, with the occasional bus or hitch hike.

    We spent 3 days in Como with our family. The apartment is a little old but comfortable. Everything you need is present to be able to make food or do the laundry. The location however is not ideal, we are a little in the mountains and not near the lake. So you have to take your car to get there. On the other hand, the staff is ultra warm and friendly, and breakfast is too good too !

    If you like clinical sanitised corporate hotels, stay away. Otherwise, this place is excellent. Full of old world charm, character and interest. It is a place for real travellers to experience a bit of real Italy. The hosting is very good, if you need something, they sort it. The rooms have all sorts of bit and bobs you might have in your own home. The only downside is the trek to the lake shore but then you know this before booking. Very good prices too.
