An old fashioned place to explore Lofoten

The old fashioned feel of the apartment was nice with the mountains in the background adding to the cozy feel of our stay. It makes a great base in which to explore Svolvaer and the Lofoten Islands.

The bathroom - particularly the shower needs to be cleaner. While the hair on the shower wall was minor, it was not a great experience to be greeted with.

Great place for relaxing and enjoying the view nearby.

The room is great. Bigger than I expected. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast was the best that I had at Norway and value for money.

It is a bit far from town/city area. Nearest public transport, shopping and grocery is about 15 mins walk away.

Beds, extremely small and not confortable at all. In fact the cabin was very nice, nice kitchen, nice bathroom, nice living room but the bedroom was too small and had 4 tiny beds....I was the only one there :-)

Stunning location and views, super comfortable stay and sumptuous breakfast in picturesque Svolvær

The breakfast was outstanding. While our room was not a traditional Rorbuer, the location and view were beyond exceptional, we caught a few lights from there itself.

The wash basin could be a bit bigger and the shelf placement above the basin to be higher, different …from practicality of use perspective.

Fantastic authentic rorbuer with great staff and an amazing sauna!

The property was beautiful. I little bit of the old feel with very friendly accommondations that were beautiful and comfortable. We enjoyed the property very much. The staff was friendly and helpful and the sauna was amazing!

I can't think of anything that we didn't like - it was a great stay. I guess the only regret is that we only stayed at this location one night and I wish we would have had a few days to stay here!

Great Find.

The cabins are all around you, but we never felt like we were on top of each other. Inside the cabins are well insulated, spacious and spotless, with an incredibly comfy bed and great shower, what more could you want? On a nice day there is an area to eat outside.

There was no complementary coffee or tea bags, or any kitchen niceties which would have been welcome on arrival after a long trip.

The location is just as perfect as possible - easy accessible to all you need: port, center, hiking trail, gas station, car rental and at the same time quite remote from the crowd. Rorbu is a perfect combination of traditional style and modern design. Must stay here if you want to experience traditional Norwegian house. Kitchen is equipped with everything. On site there is a restaurant and floating sauna - great opportunity to relax after a hike. A lot of trail running options as well. Team is great and helpful, always in contact and giving essential info and recommendations.

Dream house. To fall in love with

This is pure perfection. Dream house, plenty of space, nice decorated, feels like home. This was our 3rd fisherman’s house while touring Norway and it was well above previous stays (which were also good). I would easily stay there a week.

Maybe my fault but I had been anticipating an over water rorbu but ours was a little back from water and whilst view was lovely, it was a little industrial, some other locations looked more appealing - but definitely not a deal breaker. Could never work out bathroom mirror light.

Spectacular location with comfortable and spacious rorbuer.

Our cabin was right on the water and very spacious. It was so fun staying in former fishermen’s quarters (not all rorbuer in Lofoten actually are, some are just made to seem as if they were) —we loved the house!! It was wonderful to be so close to the water, every window had a spectacular view. The bed was heavenly and provided me with my best nights of sleep in the two weeks I have been traveling so far. We also booked the sauna and my whole family loved it!

Nice and calm location

Nice and calm location on an island where most houses are for rent. Very convenient, we had a beautiful view on the bay and the mountains. Place was very clean and the kitchen was well equipped.

I wish the curtains could allow the windows to be obscured a little more, as the sun doesn't go down during the summer period.

The cabin was great! It was a great size and very comfortable. It was great to have a room to spread out more than a traditional hotel room. We will stay here when we come back in the summer. We had a great dinner at the restaurant at the property.

The ice on the pathways was very slippery. It would have been nice if the staff spread a little more sand & gravel on the paths. There was a container full of sand & gravel at one point, so we ended up sanding the path ourselves.

The property was beautifully situated with lovely views across to Svolvaer, which meant a walk into the centre which we enjoyed. Comfortable bed.
