Nice hotel. Nice size of room and bathroom. Very nice kingsize bed. Very friendly personel Parking is a little bit small and not for free. Paying is very simple with easy park app Enough restaurants in the neighbourhood. Hotel itself has no restaurant. Breakfast is very good

Hotel was fairly empty and we were given a room on the first floor on the parking lot. Shower door leaks in the bathroom, no tissues. Very little space in the room especially with 2 suitcases

Filthy fingerprints on the bathroom door. Bathroom sink not draining properly. Hand soap empty. Booked a “superior room”. Got the very first room in the hallway next to the men’s room despite the fact that the hotel was half empty. Could hear the staff talking in their office. Only one window in the room: the door going to the balcony. Door is barely big enough to go to the balcony and balcony itself is covered in cobwebs and spiders. 2 plastic chairs have not been cleaned in a while. Receptionist in the afternoon was not particularly welcoming. The one in the morning was very pleasant.

The girls at the reception are very friendly, the room is clean, the view from the window is wonderful. I have a very nice stay here and will come back again for sure.

Enjoyed 3N stay. The room came with a lovely view, very comfortable and breakfast was excellent. Front desk staff were helpful enough. It is located conveniently near restaurants. A bus (300) stops nearby -12min walk with luggage. We took it when we first arrived from Evenes airport.

There's space for parking but it isn't free.

Fantastic spot with views over the inner harbour-watch Hurtigruten come and go! Priceworthy. Extensive breakfast buffe.

The superior room with seaview was very small, even for single occupancy. Felt a little bit outdated.

Nice Hotel in the typical “northen style” with a very nice view, close both to the center and to the port. Modern room, full equipped with bath accessories. Tasty breakfast with large variety. The hotel does’t have a parking but you can park along the surrounding roads paying with EasyPark app.

Position great staff balcony overlooking water

Brilliant location, beautiful views, helpful staff, nice food and cosy room.

The parking was limited and charged by the local council due to the hotels prime location.

The hotel is in an excellent location, we were lucky enough to be on the ground floor and have our rooms overlooking the water. Perfect for viewing the Aurora, which we were lucky to see twice. The rooms are compact, but comfortable, with adjustable heating and windows that open. Unfortunately, the shower, as it seems in most hotels, doesn’t have a door that stops the water from escaping under it and getting a decent amount of water on the rest of the bathroom floor. Breakfast is included in the room rate, and there is a good selection of food, along with tea, coffee and juice. It is a shame that the hotel doesn’t offer a dinner service also. The parking, which may not be in the control of the hotel, is paid parking, which is annoying. Not even the option of the hotel having even 10 free spots on a first come, first served basis - all parking is paid. Luckily, overnight is free from 11pm Monday through Friday and from 5 pm Saturday, with free parking on Sunday. Parking rates apply from 8am. It is also a shame that there are no guest laundry facilities in the hotel, this has been a common theme in all the hotels in Norway that we’ve stayed in. Overall, we had a pleasant stay at Scandinavian Svolvær, and if we returned again, would possibly stay again.

The hotel is amazing: The view from the balcony, the clearness, friendly Staff. We arrived a little earlier and were allowed to checked in prematurely. Hot/ cold water. The flow was heated. -a special bonus for breakfast. There was everything: avocado, fruits, salmon, different types of bread, absolutely everything you can imagine. In addition, you can use the coffee machine around the clock and make yourself coffee or tea for free.

Loved the set up in the room and the balcony overlooking the sea was fantastic. It was cosy and comfortable. Breakfast was a really good spread with plenty of options for vegans.

Breakfast is quite not fresh.

The place is beautiful. It was our first night in Lofoten and it was wonderful. The hotel is a typical building, it is not modern but clean, comfortable and well equipped and in a beautiful location. Our room had a terrace that overlooked the port and you could see the cruise ships arrive and depart. The breakfast is very rich and complete. We love it

We arrived on the Hurtigruten from Kirkenes. I could see the hotel with its bright lights from the ship and was amazed at how close it was to the beautiful port. We walked to the hotel and then I could see the ship from our hotel window. It was snowing when we arrived but the next day the sun was shining and we went for long walks as there is much to see and beautiful scenery. We had a lovely buffet breakfast too.
