Lived this property. Gorgeous location, great staff who were friendly and helpful. It was great being out of the bustle, lots of fantastic food options and it felt more local. Room was spacious would stay again

Pros: staff were friendly, Diego gave us some great recommendations on restaurants. The hotel room was good, modern and clean, and they had good products in the room, from Rituals, including conditioner, shampoo, soap and body lotion.

I wanted to like this hotel so much, but it is definitely not a four star hotel. There were so many little things that added up to make it a less than pleasant stay. Starting with the worst offence, the breakfast (18 EUR) was absolutely atrocious. It’s from 7 to 11 am, as I was told. I came down at 10 am, the food was already skint - smoke salmon nearly gone, Iberico ham nearly gone, the berries were all gone. There were only two members of staff working, I could see through the large window into the kitchen that there were no chefs, only serving & front desk staff - one of them was in charge of making scrambled eggs. I heard the other staff member offering omelettes to other guests but I was not offered one. The lack of chefs in the kitchen indicated to me that the food was not fresh; see the photos - the leaves all looked wilted, the other toppings looked like they had come straight out of a tin can. I barely ate anything as there wasn’t much to choose from. They had no labels on anything indicating what food was what, or allergens so I picked up a pastry and found out its contents only after biting into it. It was a really pathetic display of a breakfast for a four stat hotel - needless to stay I did not have breakfast there again. The ‘public’ bathrooms nearest to the breakfast area was not well maintained. Two days in a row I went to use the facilities there and found there was no soap in the women’s or the handicapped room (I went into the men’s to wash my hands subsequently). The paper towels are just restaurant napkins which aren’t really sufficient for hand drying. One of the bathroom stalls didn’t have a lock on it at all, and the stall I used had a light that flickered on and off the whole time. I did inform the staff about the lack of soap, to which they said an external company was responsible for - so that there would be no soap in there until they came to fill the dispenser. Gross.
