Bansko during the winter season

We were warmly welcomed and treated with a very greating and positive attitude.

The heating appliances need replacement and the bathroom deep cleaning due the mold in the shower cabine

Reasonable budget option

Property is a good location less than 10mins walk from the ski gondola. The rooms are a decent size.

I booked a double room because I am 6’4 but I was given two small twin beds that didn’t fit me well. The room was 4th floor and no elevator, so probably not suitable for those who struggle with stairs. The loft is very loud when the weather is windy.

Quite disappointing. Two rooms with two broken TVs and very bad internet.

Nice and very polite receptionist! Rooms had nice and interesting design. Initially while temperatures outside were very cold, there was enough warmth in the room (afterwards when temperatures outside were >0 they started closing the heating sometimes. Quiet street (no traffic, no tourists)

- Could hear everything through hotel walls; including when people above flushed toilets and took showers. - Extremely bad internet; both hotel AND roaming; both during peak hours and just a bit better afterwards. - All TVs are very old, either the signal is very bad and the picture is unwatchable, or the TV will break during your stay. - Bad spare bed from couch - Water is heated through boiler, not enough for 3 people showering after each other(may be ok for two) - Room had kitchen with barebones ustensils (no pots, few old plates and glasses, few knives and forks, and that's it); no coffee machine, no coffee, no tea, or inkinds of any kind.

Very poor internet. No elevator in the building. No dining table and chairs in our room. Extra bed was very uncomfortable for sleeping. No room cleaning or towels change during our stay.

Friendly, location alright, price via booking adequate. Could park in street in front of building. Can see mountains (if one cares). I suppose kitchenette is usable if one is ok with microwave and brings everything needed oneself.

People were friendly and easy going - too easy going. Super old fashioned, one has to ring door bell to get into house and wait, and when I returned at night, the man answered door in underwear shorts. Didn't speak any English or German at reception. Balcony is shared with other apartment, no devider, which I wasn't informed about(!) , that's 100 percent unacceptable - I only noticed in the morning, after I had left the balcony door open for air all night, and after I had dressed with door open!! When I then stepped outside, there was a man sitting there! Unbelievable, imagine what could have happened! I saw now that others had complained about this, and nothing was done. Room exactly as in picture, but full of old fashioned table cloth and couch cover.... very dusty, kitchen counter tops dirty and sticky. No coffee, no equipment. Kitchen very dark. I didn't use the bathtub for shower as dirty and inconvenient. No shower gel either. Bed was super uncomfortable. Needs new mattresses, secure locks, convenient access,... I also don't know why I had to walk up 4 stories using stairs with my luggage in an half empty place? No elevator. No parking, no shadow parking on road. Just a lot of concrete. Road was load. Lot of questions asked at checkout.... but I suppose some people might like like smalltalk.

Almost evrything in hotel is budget, and you have to be careful not to break stuff around room. For this price i guess its okey. Gym also consists from one gladiator and one treadmill.

This hotel has a potential but the management has to learn to manage customers expectations better.

Spacious and bright apartment with great views of the mountains and stylish old fashioned furniture throughout. Very clean overall with comfortable beds and good bed linen. The young lady who received us was very friendly and polite.

We were unfortunate to arrive more than 1 hour later than our estimate. We arrived around 18:00. Turned out that the key for our room was missing and after some search the landlord brought it in. He didn’t answer our greeting, threw the key on the reception desk and went out ignoring us again. I thought this was extremely rude, especially, considering they claim to have 24 hour reception, it was only 6 pm and an estimate of arrival time is just this - an estimate that can be influenced by a lot of factors. The apartment has a small balcony available from the bedroom, which to our surprise, was shared with another apartment without any barrier! The balcony was already occupied by a lady, a keen smoker, who politely, but firmly advised us that she’ll continue smoking on the balcony. This was a big shock, as we specifically requested a non-smoking apartment. Later we reached some agreement with the neighbour. Maybe the management helped in this but we had to keep the bedroom window closed anyway, missing on the fresh mountain air. We selected this apartment because it featured a fully equipped kitchen with many appliances. When travelling we prefer to prepare our own food, so being able to do so is essential for us. However, the kitchenette was too small without a kitchen bench space or even a dining table. The only table to have dinner was a coffee table in the lounge room. Any activity apart from reheating something in the microwave or making tea or coffee would be hard. One has to unplug the microwave from under the kitchen sink to plug in the hot plate. No kitchenware was provided anyway, so no cooking was possible. No dish washing sponge, tea towels or dish drying rack were provided either. We were told later no cooking is allowed in this apartment as no aspirator is fitted! This was incorrect - an aspirator was fitted over the hot plate.

Really not good WiFi, maybe depends on the floor etc. but it was hard to use. No electric kettle as listed, but I was borrowed one to make a tea.

Very dirty and old. Very expensive for what it is. No AC, the breakfast is a joke. Many insects and spiders. The fridge didn't work. Very noisy surroundings.

Great stay in Bansko

Great Location (especially for very short stays), 10 minutes walk from the main street in a very quiet area. Amazing view of the mountains from the windows (we stayed in the 5th floor). Irina, our hostess, was very friendly and helpful. Our room was very big and comfortable (one bedroom apartment). Good temperature in the room. Toaster, boiler, microwave oven and kitchenette available in the room. Endless walking/hiking opportunities in the area.

It could have had some extra kitchenware, like more spoons etc. Bansko was empty, most stores were closed and it looked almost deserted even though it was the 1st of May.
