To offer authentic Sri Lankan food, a Bandarawela hotel should focus on traditional, spice-rich, coconut-based dishes. Key offerings include authentic rice and curry (fish, chicken, or mutton), hoppers with coconut milk, string hoppers, Kotthu roti, coconut milk rice, Coconut roti with pol sambol.

We had a lovely stay at Bandarawela Hotel. The charming old-world atmosphere, cool hill country climate, and peaceful surroundings made it the perfect getaway. The staff were warm and attentive, and the food was excellent. We truly enjoyed our stay and would happily return!

Centrally located and very helpful staff.
Rooms are still in 1926. Very basic and very old. Could be better furnished to match 2026 convenience.
