The breakfast was excellent, and the view was truly breathtaking. However, what really made this hotel unforgettable was the exceptional care and attention of the staff. From the reception team to the chefs, service staff, and spa team, everyone was incredibly attentive, warm, and genuine. Their sincere interest in even the smallest details made guests feel truly valued. Experiencing such a high level of hospitality was genuinely special.

Overall, I did not experience any major issues. The only minor point was that the bed in my room felt a bit too firm for my personal preference. Apart from that, everything was absolutely wonderful. If you check the room in advance, the hotel staff are extremely helpful and supportive in case of any issue. This is truly a hotel that values its guests and makes you feel well cared for.

Perfect stay in Kavala

Spatios room with a great balcony sea view. Good breakfast with local pastries and enough options, coffee was good. Free parking in front of the hotel. All areas were clean and well maintained. Amazing staff, they helped me to recover a lost object and they were very understanding.

The bathroom doesn't have any system for ventilation or doesn't function, after a hot shower inside you can't stay( it is very hot)

Great personnel and location, good and clean rooms, but gym not functional

The personnel was very polite and helpful. Generally, good value for money Hotel, covering all basic needs. Nice view, location and decent breakfast.

The gym doesn't meet the minimum expected standards. Operates for very short time (12.00-20.30), one (out of two) treadmills was not repaired since my previous visit (6m ago), and the A/C was not really cooling the space. All in all, unless these points are fixed soon (I doubt it; I saw them also several months ago, which indicates abandonement of the area) the hotel cannot really claim having a truely functional gym.

Quite enjoyable, really

I was kind of wary after reading the reviews but on the whole, the hotel is quite nice. Super friendly staff at the reception desk (a special thank you to Penelope) and in the restaurant during the breakfast.

The hotel offers room service but there is no menu (at least, not in our room) from which to choose. Would be nice to have an information booklet in the room, showing the working hours for the spa and the roof terrace restaurant, as well as the menu for the room service.

Unpleasant and short, woke up at 3 am and at 4 we hit the road.

I liked the location, good parking, and mostly friendly staff. A very nice rooftop.

The smell was awful, for a 4 star hotel it is not acceptable, a mix between dust and moldy kind of smell in the hallway , in the room it smelled like stale cigarettes smell, and a place used for parties …just an awful smell overall again. Scratchy sheets, not enough pillows, not great quality mattress, no complementary bathroom essential according to a 4 star hotel, ragged, kind of scratchy towels. Stained old stereo in the room, rusted room table, no mosquito repellent device, even tough the area was a high population of bugs. Just an overall disappointing experience for a hotel that is rated at 4 stars.

Good for the price

Staff at reception and restaurant were friendly. Breakfast was very good. Showers were amazing!

I didn't know until after booking the non-refundable room that the spa was an extra cost. 12.50 Euro per day per person. Non-smoking room smelled like smoke. On Saturday night there was a music recital for children and we were unable to use the restaurant.

a gorgeous view from the balcony down to the city. Also the friendly and supportive staff should be mentioned. the rooms are quite tastefully furnished.

the room needed would needsome maintenance i.e. the handle for the shower is loose. The main road to the highway is right next to the hotel. Therefore never checkin on the mountainside.

The hotel is located just at the entrance in Kavala. If you want to walk to and from the city centre the way is quite difficult (abrupt).

Beautiful view from the hotel overlooking Kavala. Great breakfast.

Terrible mattresses. See photos. The Wifi was weak but that was ok we didn’t need this. You can pay additional money to get high sped WiFi, that’s a little ridiculous these days. We travel all over the world and we prefer a hotel with a pool this is why we selected Egnatia. It wasn’t a cheap hotel and it was surprising that you have to pay separately to access the pool area, but that was ok too. Bathroom mildew was unacceptably visible. We only brought the issue with the mattresses to their attention. A manager was not available to discuss this on that Friday morning as we were checking out after a two day stay. The two staff at reception clearly not trained properly, threaten to call the police. We were not refusing to pay, but also couldn’t justify the cost for the amenities. A suite shouldn’t have this poor quality of bedding. The two men actually didn’t believe us and said we were too late. Too late for what? We were still there. Luckily I had taken photos and when I showed them the condition of the mattress a gentleman that was near the reception offered a discount after listening to the long, unpleasant discussion with reception. As we were leaving he asked me to email my photos to the hotel. I agreed but then I asked myself, why? All they have to do, is go see the rooms in person.
