Everything is great but the bed is very uncomfortable, feels like you are sleeping on a bench. Breakfast was great . Overall good value but change the mattress and check the water pressure in the bathroom

Spacious Rooms, Stunning Views, Excellent Comfort, and Exceptional Service

The rooms are spacious and offer a superb view, with exceptionally comfortable beds and pillows. The staff are professional, energetic, and always ready to help. Breakfast includes a generous variety of well-prepared dishes. The hotel is located 2.5 km from the city center, making the area quieter and more peaceful. It is easily accessible by car directly from the motorway, without the need to drive through the center.

If the windows in our room are left closed for too long, a faint mix of plastic and probably smoke seems to linger in the air (most likely coming from the curtains, or perhaps the carpet, it’s hard to tell). The scent isn’t unpleasant, but during cooler seasons it might feel more noticeable. I last stayed at this hotel about ten years ago, and it’s clear that not much has changed in terms of décor. While the property shows occasional signs of wear and could benefit from some refurbishment, it remains in generally good condition. Still, as a five-star hotel, it naturally sets higher expectations. That said, none of these minor issues would stop me from returning in the future.

Lucy Hotel was an amazing experience! It is the first time I see a place where EVERYONE is so smiley, supportive, kind and respectful - from the cleaning lady to the valet. The room is very comfortable, beds are comfy too, the view is absolutely breath-taking. Breakfast is extremely rich and offers anything you may need, including home-made cakes. The pool bar is great for a cocktail in the afternoon. The spa is also very well maintained and convenient. The room was impeccably clean! The reception staff was extremely supportive for literally everything we needed or had as a query. The lobby bar also offers great refreshments for late night talks. The hotel also has a charging station for electric vehicles which is super convenient. The location is very communicative - Kavala city centre is 3-4 minutes by car. But most of all, the people/personnel is what makes a difference. I am amazed and I will definitely come back! Highly recommended!

The canal in the room was partially blocked and was not working properly, so this is something that may be checked more regularly I guess.

Leaf blower around the pool during our entire breakfast at 8:30pm... a no go! Seemed to be normal for all the employees of the hotel.. After 20min(!) of having breakfast, we approached the waiter to ask for coffee (usually they ask you what you would like to have because there are no coffee machines at the buffet). Average breakfast, average hotel.. 3 to 4 stars for us. No 5 stars!

The stony beach adjacent to hotel needs sorting as the access isn’t easy. Pool needs to open long before 10 am . It’s a beautiful pool that is under-used.

In addition to vacations, Kavala provides access to historical landmarks, which enriches vacations.

The breakfast was excellent, as was the staff, only the beach near the hotel was not at a satisfactory level. However, within the hotel there is a large swimming pool with a bar, where you can order drinks and food. Also, if you have a car, you can use it to visit the beaches in the area, which are excellent. The location of the hotel allows easy and quick access to these beaches.

Location and the staff. Good breakfast. Clean room. Shampoo and body-wash for one person at the double room, but they gave us more when we asked for it. Very helpful reception and beach personal.

Beautiful spot for a seaside stay in Kavala

The hotel rooms were clean and comfortable and we enjoyed the beautiful sea views. The staff of the hotel truly made the experience exceptional. The bar and restaurant staff went above and beyond to make the vacation experience a great one.

It was a bit outside of Kavala Old Town. Though, it was convenient to be able to park.

Rather a 3 star hotel

The staff is very friendly and the location is near the beach.

Room with sea view actually has a parking space in between, so it’s rather scam. Additionally, the rooms and foremost the bathroom need renovation. It’s very old, worn out and to our hygiene standards really not clean. They tried their best, really, to help us with our standards and find us another room, but for us it wasn’t sufficient. We changed our booking from 5 nights to one night only and left to a newly opened luxury hotel nearby.

Room size was good, parking was convenient, bfast was stanard and the location was accessible, and the staff were helpful.

Wifi quality was poor, bfast wasnt clearly marked so vegetarian options were actually meat. Bed was very uncomfortable and lacked the quality of a 5 star hotel.

it was tucked away from the city to keep it peaceful. Lina made my stay very enjoyable. she was always very friendly to me and my colleagues.

2 male bar tenders gave me a menu for food and then never came to take my order. I sat directly behind them at the bar. they should pay better attention to their clients.

A nightmare!

Nice and clean room

The hotel pretends to be a 5 star hotel, however on the New Year Eve we could not take a shower because there was NO HOT water. At the reception explained that the hotel is fully booked and because it is “shower time” and many people wants to take a shower no hot water available. After 4 hours waiting for the hot water I went to the Gala dinner without wash and dress my hair because I would miss the New Year welcoming waiting in the room. I am very disappointed and do not recommend this hotel! I am sure that the management of the hotel knows about this issue and if the hotel can not provide the basic service, I mean a hot water they should not sell all the rooms or warn their guests to take shower not in the evening to be sure that this extraordinary and very special service- the hot water will be available and enough for all of their guests!!!

A Special New Year Holiday in Greece

The hotel has an excellent location. The city view room was upgraded to a sea-view room by the receptionist, a friendly guy. The room size is OK for 2 persons, it was the smollest room type of the hotel, but very appropriate for us. The view is amazing, we admired the sunrise over Thassos island every morning. The heat in the room, with air conditioning, was very good. The cleaning services are very good, as well as the quality of the towels and the linen, changed at every two days. The furniture is a little bit outdated, but this did not bother us. The breakfast is excellent, a lot of types of food, pastries, sweets, confitures, cheese, fresh yoghurt, cereals, fresh fruits, continental food, honey, three types of olives, fruit juices, excellent espresso, a quite good choice of tea, I don't know how bad-willed someone is to find minuses for the breakfast. The New Year Gala Dinner was ok as food and drink, related with the price. I particularly appreciated the interesting range of cheeses seasoned with nuts, figs and grapes. The surroundings are ok, I think the beach is full in the summer. 100m from the hotel is a Masoutis supermarket open 8-20.

As a recommendation, what could be changed at the Gala Dinner and in the entire hotel in the coming years, even with an effect on the price, is the music. I think that people come to Greece to enjoy the sea, sun, history, music and food. And it is especially about Greek LIVE music, not international recorded music. It would have been useful to have an entertainment service on New Year's Party and live music, at least between 23-01, to warm up the atmosphere. It would have been good if the saunas were open according to the schedule, without requiring a phone call beforehand, as there are cases where the person in question was absent. Bathrobes would also be useful in the room in this sense.
