The moment you walk in smells amazing. The view of El Zocalo from the terrace. Next to Similandia. Walking distance to shops, restaurants and train. Felt safe the entire time.

Fantastic location in the heart of the historic center. We were able to walk to many of Mexico City's main attractions, restaurants, and museums. The hotel was clean and comfortable, and the staff was friendly and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily return.
Our visit coincided with a major international soccer tournament, so the area around the Zócalo was extremely crowded and quite noisy late into the evening. This was not the hotel's fault, just something to be aware of if you're looking for a quieter experience.

Dear Mgmt and Ownership,
I have traveled to more than 50 countries and have the opportunity to stay in beautiful buildings with incredible views however that is not what makes them special. The people do. The front line staff that you have at the reception desk: Josue, Fernanda, Karina and Ivan make Zocola a facility in Mexico City that I would look forward to returning to. Not the 2024-26 "special view of the city" award, not the location- Do not lose one of them.
Exchanging money in the hotel could be improved with funds available any day, night or weekend- to change US dollars to Pesos. There were times that money could not be exchanged as the staff did not have the funds in a drawer to do so. This is not a reflection on the staff but an obvious business decision- that they have to deal with on a daily basis. I needed to take a 500 dollar peso bill and go down the street and buy a breakfast croissant to be able to give a tip to those that were so kind, generous and warm to me throughout my stay. There were at least 4 occasions over an 8 day stay that there were not enough funds on site to exchange. Yes, you can walk a few blocks and go exchange funds but this is an issue that should and could be resolved easily. If this happened to me on 4 occasions, how many people and times does it happen daily?
