Clean, updated, quiet, helpful staff

Good location nearby to the train station and accessible. Room was ready early and the staff allowed us to check in early. Plenty of space in the room.

No lift to access upper floors.

During our three-week trip to Italy, we stayed in ten different hotels, and I would rank Locanda Herion in the top half. The location is convenient, about a 10-minute walk from Venice Santa Lucia station and around 20 minutes from St. Mark's Basilica. There are several restaurants nearby, and the property is situated in a lively tourist area. Step outside, and you'll immediately find the picturesque Venetian canals that make for beautiful photographs. The host was very welcoming and kindly allowed us to check in a little early. The room was comfortable and had excellent air conditioning, which was especially appreciated during the summer. The only minor drawback was that our room was on the third floor, so we had to carry our luggage up the stairs. However, this is understandable, as many buildings in Venice's historic district cannot accommodate elevators. Overall, it was a pleasant stay in a great location and a good base for exploring Venice.

Really good location and comfy bed

The shower had mould, many of the plugs didn’t work, the stairs had a slippery carpet with loose bars across making it quite dangerous every time we needed to go to the loo
