    The receptionist at the front desk , a tall guy looks a bit like CR7, was very cheerful and helpful.

    Our stayed at hotel ca' zusto was wonderful. The staffs were incredibly welcoming and attentive, and the rooms were cozy and clean. The location was perfect for exploring because it was near a vaporetto port. There were plenty of restaurants and small groceries around the area. It was a ten minute walk from Venezia Santa Lucia train station. You can get a hotel porter to help carry the luggage to cross the bridges and through the cobble stone path. The hotel breakfast is simple and so were their amenities. Still, we enjoyed our stay.

    We stayed in room 4, which I would not recommend. Slightly smelly from the sewer, which I understand is normal in an old city, but installing a bathroom fan could help. It seems like all the walls/baseboards in that room suffered from flooding because they are all swollen with water, which made the bathroom door nearly impossible to close. The door was also crumbling at the bottom, which added to the issue of closing it. The floors in our bathroom were sticky upon arrival and a half-drank water bottle was in our mini fridge. I liked the location and the staff, especially Alberto, was very kind and responsive.
