Potential to be better

The lady servicing the apartments is lovely and really helpful. The spa pool is clean and a treat. The blinds are novel and functional. Comfortable bed.

Broken shower handle on the inside of the shower making it difficult to close for older and younger people. Generally tired unit. Wouldn't take much to tidy it up. Supply of shower wash and shampoo was a really tiny bottle for 2 nights stay. No fresh milk. Expected more for the price paid.

3 Weary Travellers

It was almost 10pm before we found out we needed somewhere to stay. We were greeted by intercom and given all the info we needed including code for gate. Very accommodating especially given the time of night we arrived. We had been traveling all day for a funeral and were worn out. Soo nice to stay in a clean, comfortable place for the night. Would not hesitate to stay again. Can highly recommend.

There is not a private pool in each room!

Tidy room, good location to the public thermal pools (which you'll need if you're in a villa room) and shops.

The sign out front and the website say a private mineral pool in each room, but there was not one in my room, making it way less value for money than I had expected. When I asked the staff about it (via text message as there wasn't anyone actually on site) they called me annoyed that I was expecting a pool, demanding I send them my booking to see where it said there would be a pool, and telling me that I couldn't use the main pool in the villa because it was booked, but wouldn't tell me how I could book it myself for later, and then told a twisty tale about it only being bookable if you booked the whole villa (the whole villa was not booked as I was in it so how did the others book?). I just wanted them to live up to their sign out front (photo attached) and let me enjoy a hot pool after hours of driving. I went to the hot pools across the road which were basic but lovely.

Tired but great private thermal tub !

Own hot water straight out of the ground in your own spa pool. Secure complex right on bus route from Auckland. Close to lovely new childrens playground, supermarket and thermal complex. Air conditioning. Clean. Small fridge. Helpful staff.

Bungalows were tired and basic . Damaged paint, walls,carpet, tiles, bathroom surfaces. Rugs nailed to floor. . No bedside light , powdered coffee mate. No screens so had to keep air con on and windows closed as I am allergic to bug bites.

It was out dated had a musty smell in the room. Beds were hard and wifi was terrible Contacted 2 times from owner about card details which I’ve never experienced when using booking.com and we’ve stayed at many places over the years

Location, comfy bedroom wth ensuite - very nice & convenient accomodation. I got a late checkout for $20 extra Kitchen facilities are great! Staff let me use the spa pool! Thanks!!

I booked room C on the website and was put in room B because C wasnt cleaned yet - i checked in at 3.30pm. There is a bird stuck in the wall between room b & c - it was fluttering around the whole time during my stay. Poor birdie. Wifi was extremely slow. Switched to my hotspotl

Nice accommodation, but payment system needs improvement

The property requires a pre-authorisation payment but has no onsite staff, so guests must call and provide card details: something Booking.com advises against. If you’re not comfortable sharing card info this way, it can be tricky. We offered to pay via a secure link but were told that wasn’t possible. After sending a bank transfer and proof of payment, we had to wait until the funds cleared, delaying check-in by about two hours. It also took 11 days and several follow-ups to get our bond back, as they said they hadn’t received our bank details (which we’d sent twice). The stay itself was fine, but the payment and refund process could be smoother and more secure.

Great place for soaking in a private hot pool and quiet relaxing time.

The hot pool in our unit was lovely and relaxing. We had everything we needed for a one night stay.

Would have preferred milk to the creamer for our coffee. If going for a few days organise food as there weren’t many choices for evening meals.

The lockbox problem

Difficulty with keys to locked exterior security door. I have a feeling this was meant to be open. We tried our code for our room, as we understood it was the code to open our room. Eventually, the lockbox opened with the key to the security door. Then, entering the villa, we found that the code we were given was actually for this room. So, unsure what actually opened the security lockbox!

Room had a musty smell, I couldn’t work the heat pump at 1am so got in the Spa 😊 Bathroom bench top was not wiped, toothpaste smudges on top.

Mini Geothermal getaway

Hot tub was awesome. Bed was firm but comfortable Fridge didn't seem to be that cold but I turned temp down which seemed to work.

Internet was intermittent. A few cobwebs hanging from ceiling in room where bed was .
