This property was in a good location for our visit to our family in Avondale. We only needed accommodation for one night and booked a studio. On arrival we were upgraded to a larger one-bedroom unit, which was appreciated.

This motel is on a busy road, which we already knew. This didn’t affect us at all.

It was my first visit and I would happily book again.

Very pleasant staff on duty. My room was quite old but had been nicely refurbished and the standard of maintenance/cleaning was exceptional. It was also within 5 minutes walk of cafes and restaurants.

The room information pack said continental breakfast was available - no breakfast was available and I had breakfast at McDonald's in Kelston Mall. Television reception was poor quality. I'm not sure of the reason for this but it didn't really matter as I mainly used the Internet which was fine.

Great location, clean and comfortable unit. Just a shout out to the housekeepers - they made the extra effort to arrange the toys on my daughters bed so nicely, she got a real kick out of that when we got back in the afternoon.

We felt very comfortable and cosy. Loved the two TVs and the selection of sky channels

We all commented on how spotless and clean the place was. It was well stocked with tea, hot chocolate and coffee and we appreciated the little carton of milk. The beds were comfy and we enjoyed our stay.

The look of the place was very dated, but we did expect that from the photos. The loft floor with kids beds didn’t seem 100 percent safe for young children due to the low railing next to the bed.

Absolutely fabulous bed - so comfortable and beautifully made up. It was the best night's sleep I've had in ages! Clean room and lovely hot, powerful shower. Brilliant location ten mins walk to Lynmall.

Spa pool was tepid so we didn't bother using it.

Location was excellent for what we required. They went out of their way to accommodate us & even gave us a 2nd room for our additional guests at not extra charge. Friendly, helpful staff, very clean rooms with lovely kitchens & new bathrooms. Thank you for lovely rooms.

Home away from home

Felt like a little home away from home. The kitchen had everything we needed and was great having separate rooms for me and my daughter. Was a really neat little unit that felt like a cabin. The loft with the two beds was particularly cool.

The end unit where we were had a lot of road noise and I struggled to fully close the windows to dampen the sound. I didn't know Auckland well so didn't realise we were on such a busy road.

Not a place I would choose to stay again

This was a last minute booking to avoid being caught in the Far North when Hurricane Gabrielle struck. There was very little accommodation available near Auckland airport where we were due to fly out from the next day. So we were grateful to find somewhere.

The property is tired but adequate for a 1 night stay. Unfortunately we were unlucky in neighbours who were sat outside talking loudly until 2 a.m. By this time I had had enough and went out myself to ask what appeared to be 4 young men to please be Quiet. Fortunately they got the message. There did not seem to be anybody in charge of the motel to ask them to be quiet.

For a motel they had spa sauna plenty of parking and their welcome book covered everything even where you could get a dentist or doctor after hours. Staff were very friendly. Totally enjoyed our stay. Big thumbs up to this place.
