Grosvenor Villa

The property was stunning. It was like stepping back in time or being on a film set. It’s absolutely beautiful, and full of historical interest. The house is spotlessly clean and Richard the owner made us feel very welcome. The continental breakfast was exceptional and the best we have had. Our two little dogs were made to feel welcome also, and that also made our stay special. Richard the host is delightful, friendly and welcoming. We loved listening to his stories and he also advised us where to go in Bath that was also dog friendly.

There wasn’t anything we disliked about the property.

Tucked away behind a discreet entrance is a stately residence with the grandeur of opulent furniture, stripped pine and huge rugs. The 'dumb waiter' at breakfast completes the aristocratic air. Complimentary wine, spring water and biscuits plus Radox for the large bath all made my stay relaxed. I slept like a queen in the huge yet super cozy bed, snug as the proverbial bug. Richard is a delightful host, welcoming and entertaining whilst also respectful of privacy. This jewel is a stones throw from the tow path with the Pump Rooms and all that Bath has to offer a stroll in one direction and a canal side pub in the other.

I thought long and hard on this and can genuinely say there was nothing I didn't like.

Beautiful property, totally unique, with gorgeous decor and interesting furniture. Richard is a fantastic, entertaining and diligent host, ensuring we had everything we needed for a great stay.
