    Lovely building and nice staff. Room was pretty and had a great view, nonroom frig in mine though some rooms had them. A pricey restaurant and bar in the basement and yard area. A bit of lobby space and free coffee and snacks. Not much other amenities. 10 minutes walk to the old town.

    Loved this hotel. A bit quirky and a bit different. Staff were so friendly and we were made to feel welcome from the off. Room was lovely. Super comfy bed, pillows were fab. Lovely shower products. Nespresso coffee machine and a Dyson hairdryer. We were given a 2 for 1 voucher for drinks which we used in the evening on the terrace. We loved the complimentary snacks/sweets and drinks that you could help yourself to. The decor was tasteful, bright and quirky. It wasn’t cheap but it made our weekend feel special. Breakfast was delicious. When we checked out we were given rocky road ‘for the road’. Nice little touches which we really appreciated - we felt special. All their staff were just so lovely. Will definitely return.

    Booked for the location, the hotel is ideally located for Bath city centre. We booked for the xmas market on arrival we were greeted and after a free coffee from the lobby machine which was excellent we were shown to our room. We dropped our bags and headed into town to explore, we were told the bar was not available as they had a function, no big deal we thought. We returned to the hotel about 8.30pm after spending all day in town. Absolutely shattered we were looking forward to a restful nights sleep ready for a big Saturday in Bath. On entering the room we were greeted by boom boom boom, from the bar below. No problem with having functions but dont book rooms for guest over the bar. After 20mins I visited reception to basically say i would like a refund or a new room. The saving grace for the hotel was Doug he moved us to another room and sorted the bill for parking and room downgrade. Overall great location but I would not stay here again after this experience, hotel bar was also out of use due to functions and you could only get basic drinks. When customers are having food delivered to the hotel you know there is something wrong. Could be amazing but let down bu communication.

    We stayed 2 nights in the bird bath. We stayed in the Abbey King room, which was just about big enough to fit the bed inside, let alone the sofa that was positioned at the foot of it. It was clean and presentable, there was a few minor in the bathroom decor i.e. paint coming away from the walls above the doorframe. The first night we stayed, we had food and some drinks in Bath town centre. We came back to the hotel about 20 past 12 (midnight) to find the front door was locked, and nobody within the reception area to open the door. We called the number on the front door as it had a notice there. We called and called and called… no answer. We was outside in the freezing cold for around half an hour, and eventually the night porter answered the call and gave us the code to the door. There was no communication of this being an eventuality by hotel staff on arrival, and also I fear that it’s a security risk if a night porter would answer a call and give up the pin to get into the building without any questions of who you are, what room you’re staying in etc. we was NOT impressed by this whatsoever, luckily my partners phone was on (mine was out of battery), otherwise who knows how long we would have been sat outside. All in all, it was a passable stay. The location is decent, and you have the perks of parking. You also get free sweets and cans of pop inside the lobby - which is a nice touch. All in all 4/10 we wouldn’t stay again.
