All Bed and Breakfast stays should be like this- we loved everything about it!

All stays should be like this. The welcome from the hosts was friendly and informative. Everything was thought of - a microwave, plates and cutlery to use in our room. Our host even booked us a restaurant in town for that evening. The breakfast was delightful with home made yoghurt and jams as well as pancakes and bread and cheese from the local area. Great location with a short walk into town. Free parking in the street outside. Comfortable bed and beautifully decorated room. There’s nothing we didn’t love.

A potentially marvellous break marred by my wife feeling poorly. Probably too old to return.

Our hosts were incredibly kind, thoughtful and generous with their offers of help. Google maps did not lead us to La Tannerie so they drove to us and led us there! Nothing seemed too much trouble.

The bathroom and toilet arrangements were perfectly adequate rather than super convenient for an old couple!

Perfection in a B&B…an amazing spot with hosts to match!

An absolutely amazing place to stay. Each room has been done with so much thought, it didn’t go unnoticed. The place is stunning; rooms that were huge, comfortable with everything you could need. Just a pity we didn’t need more than one night! Great stop off for Calais though. The breakfast was amazing too, with attention to detail, lovely croissants and lovely home made yogurt. Thank you Lydie and Frédéric for inviting us into your home and sharing your adorable little dogs too!

Lovely rooms and delicious breakfast in beautiful Montreuil sur Mer

A lovely B&B less than one hour away from Calais. The room was very comfortable - and Lydie very kindly provided a cot and changing mat for our baby. And breakfast was delicious - they were even able to serve it to us early as we needed to leave at 7:30an to catch our train. The centre of Montreuil sur Mer is only 10 minutes away, full of lovely restaurants, bars and shops. Our stay was far too short - we hope to be back next year for longer!

Everything was perfect - we just wished we could have checked in earlier than 5pm so that we could enjoy it for longer!

Due to heat whilst we were staying we could have done with a fan. Also the guesthouse is quite an (up hill) walk to the main town, there is nothing really nearby.

We had a delightful overnight stay at the Tannerie. The family room exceeded our expectations.

The breakfast was very good with a mixture of pastries, fruit, meat and cheeses. The shared garden was large and lovely. The hosts were friendly and helpful.

The tannerie is in the lower part of the town, about a 10 minute walk up a steep hill to the upper part of the town where most of the shops and restaurants are located.

Blissful.

The whole place is charming and the location extremely peaceful, and not far at all from the town center. Our room (the family room) was beautifully decorated and nicely equipped. The garden is astounding, and has many places where you can sit and enjoy it! Lydia and Frédéric are very helpful and super organized. Great hosts. (Their Yorkies are adorable!) Breakfast was lovely, especially the homemade jams. La Tannerie is a wonderful place I'd love to stay at again.

The croissants were surprisingly bready, not the typical, flaky French kind. The filter coffee could be a little stronger. These complaints carry the weight of a ladybug, there was nothing wrong per se at all with the food, it was excellent!

La Tannerie est superb!

Lydie and Frederic were lovely welcoming hosts. The room was great, very big as we had the top floor, with everything you will need including fridge, kitchenware and table and chairs for dining. The breakfasts were lovely and home made. Parking outside was free and easy too, and a short walk into Montreuil centre. Really lovely place!

Lovely bed and breakfast in historic tannery buildings

recently refurbished property set in historic building in lower Montreuil-sur-Mer. Large spacious room with everything supplied as expected. Large garden with nice breakfast room on other side. Easy free parking.

lovely old character house 15 walk to centre of town . bedroom large well laid out very comfortable, great bathroom walk in shower . parking is a bit hit or miss , but we got lucky . Breakfast taken bottom of garden great location , lovely setting . Very friendly helpful hosts . our second stay @ the house and will stay again when visiting Montreuil ,

A good base to discover the charms of Montreuil.

A lovely old house in a huge garden. We had an attic room, which means you have to take care of nor banging your head on a roofbeam (it only happens to you once). The house is very quietly located in the lower part of the village. Breakfast is served in another building in the garden and leaves nothing to be desired. Our hosts were very charming and helpful with tips what to do in Montreuil. If you want to go out for dinner try to get a table at the Patio! The food there is delicious and well worth climbing the steep path to the upper part of the town!
