Hostel Blauwput Leuven

The staff was great! Everything that needed taken care of, they did! They were really helpful and kind, very friendly and gave us a discount because something wasn't working..

The bar wasn't always open so we couldn't make ourselves coffee when we wanted.. And it was a bit damp in the rooms, but the weather was like that..

I had a pleasant experience at this hostel —facilities were fine and clean. The location was the best for me, as it's just about one minute walking from the train station, there are several supermarkets and fast food options, and it's at only some 20 minutes walking distance from the city center. The personnel has been very kind, welcoming, and lovely at all times. It also includes a basic, but varied buffet-style breakfas. Great value for money!

They could improve bedding experience — for example, upgrading to hostel meant bulks with curtains or more easily accessible structures (I have arthritis in one knee and it shows when I need to climb a basic bulk stair haha). It could also help if they assigned beds for the same reason. As a person with a somewhat limited mobility, I take my chances when staying at hostels that don't allow bed preferences, but it would make my stay so much better if I could be accommodated accordingly. Also, although the facilities were clean, floor 1 smelled like feet.
