Great location, easy access to the beach, amazing and friendly staff. Nice and clean.

Balcony was too small and partly view to the sea was.. maybe I expected more.

Absolutely outstanding stay – exceeded expectations! We travel a lot and tend to be quite critical, but this hotel truly impressed us. We arrived around midnight and were warmly welcomed by name at the door – such a great first impression! Our superior triple room was spacious and spotless, with a perfect balcony view. The hotel looks even better in real life than in the photos, which is rare. The facilities are top-notch: a great in-house restaurant, a private beach bar where drinks are brought straight to your sunbed, and staff who go above and beyond with a smile – they even made us cocktails after closing time. Everyone treated us like long-time friends, and the service felt like the true definition of hospitality. The location is ideal: shops and scooter rentals right across the street, great restaurants just a few minutes’ walk, and the beach is clean and well-kept. For this level of service and comfort, the price is unbeatable. We all agreed – this is the perfect stay in terms of value for money.

In some of the older rooms – which are otherwise perfect – the rain shower is placed a bit low, and having a handheld shower head would be a nice addition, but this is really just a minor detail. Beach towels are available for €2 per day – it’s a small fee, but it might be a nice touch to include them complimentary with the room.

Perfect breakfast, byt they don't change them, so take it into account. The staff was exceptional, everyone was helpful, especially Erind in restaurant. Always making us smile. We had dinners as well. I loved the food, many variants with sea food and always great. The beach was with rocks, and the sea was cold, but it was ok just to refresh ourselves.

We were three families, good friends from Norway that for a long time have talked about having a vacation together. So 17 people aging from 17 to around 50 decided to travel to Albania, Sarande and Hotell Apollon for one week in June 2025. Our family have now just returned back home and the conclusion is : We are so happy that we landed on exactly this trip, with Albania, Sarande and Hotell Apollon, and we feel priveliged to have experienced the genuine warmt and hospitality from each person at the hotell, that in any situation did all they could to make our stay the very best. Our family had three rooms, two superior with balcony and seaview, and one superior with balcony and partly seaview. We enjoyed both type of rooms, and the seaview is worth the extra. The location for this Hotell is really good, about a 10-15 minute walk to the area where most happenings and restaurants are, and at the same time situated in a quiet area where you also find relevant services as supermarkets and restaurants close by. Nice Gym only 5 min. away, and a good startingpoint for morning runs or walks. The private beach just by the hotel is super, and we stayed there most of the days. Hotel was really helpful with organising transport to and from the Tirana Airport and a private boat trip for the whole group one of the days, and they linked us up with serious and good companies for these activities. Hotel was clean and rooms were made up with new towels and sheets every day. We also want to highlight the restaurant in the hotel, where we had breakfast every day and dinner four times. The view and the staff are wonderful, and the restaurant has good space and a nice breeze in the warm evenings in Sarande. Food is really good. Overall Hotel Apollon was a very good choice for us, that in a wonderful way through each person working at the hotel did everything to make our stay the very best. And they managed. Hope to be back one day.

The lights were turned off at breakfast bang on 10.30 even if you’re still sat there eating! You’re charged additional costs to lie on the hotels own beach and they don’t have a pool The air con unit leaked all over the balcony and caused one of us to slip The rooms were nothing like the pictures The safe did not work The phone in the room did not work The majority of the staff were rude and dismissive, except 2 who were great There’s construction all around the hotel and you’re not prewarned It’s a long walk to the promenade and there’s nothing really to do or go to or eat at near the hotel

The proximity to the beach was nice. The property had exterior potential from an aesthetics standpoint.

It could have been because it was end of season, but many menu items were not available. The food was not good. Despite offering a free breakfast, went offsite to eat. The staff was hit or miss. The rooms were dated and the windows were not clean.

Great location, clean and comfortable room. The beach access was nice, although you have to pay for the “upgraded” location, but it was worth it. We got the bean bag chairs with the net that stuck out over the water for 5,000 ALL. As we were there all day (9 am - 5 pm), we were ok with paying a premium to have the breeze, view, and personal space. You could order from the beach bar, and they would bring drinks and food to you. We usually walked up to the bar, though, as it was faster. The service at the beach bar was great.

No complaints. Saranda (as a city) lost power one night (not fun in mid-July), but that was no fault of the hotel. They put out tea lights and lamps in the hallways and stairwells.

Amazing staff, Erind the waiter was so friendly and made us feel so welcome. location was perfect for our trip and views were stunning, breakfast was great, varied dinner menu and lovely drinks. Private beach was wonderful.

Room got moved upon arrival without forewarning, was a smaller room with no outside space - staff helped move us to a better room. Ongoing construction work consistently that we were not informed of. Wifi in our room didn’t work for 1 to 2 days - staff did fix this for us.

the staff was very friendly especially the gentleman at the restaurant who gave up his jacket to our daughter as she was cold and also helped us fix our car.

Very nice hotel and the rooms are equipped with everything you need for a stay. Parking place for a car or motorbike in the basement of the hotel. The best of all is the view from the balcony.

I have been travelling the world for 4 months now and I can honestly say that I have never experienced such wonderful service in anywhere in the world. Words cannot explain how helpful and comfortable i was in this Hotel. You can tell it is owned by a family that looks after their staff and treats them like family. It was a great hotel near the beach. The hotel restaurant served good food and local wines. Great stuff and clean rooms.

The service!!! Hands down most attentive service I’ve ever experienced. Every single person I encountered was exceptionally kind. Shout out to Erind constantly checking in on us to make sure we were having a good time (as it was raining and it is a beach town). Blandly (sp.) and Julio were also the best! Julio let me use his phone for a long distance call because the hotel phone wasn’t working and I had run out of international minutes. He also upgraded us to a renovated room upon request. The breakfast was delicious - there was a massive assortment of items: doughnuts, vegetables, sweet honeydew, eggs, pizza, etc. The location was great too - a bit away from the port so away from the hustle and bustle. There were several restaurants and markets within walking distance as well. The hotel has its own private beach with clear water.

Our first room was one of the unrenovated partial sea view ones - this was our fault as we didn’t look closely at the booking. The room was a bit dark and outdated and the sea view was only visible from the balcony. We stayed in that room for one night and the next day requested to be moved to a renovated room. This was done without hesitation on the hotel’s part and was extremely appreciated by us. It made our stay 100X better.

Even we arrived a bit early in Saranda the room was already prepared. Staff was very friendly, breakfast buffet was quite OK, terrasse with ocean view just amazing! Don't expect a sand beach but that clean sea compensates all.

There is nothing to complain from our side. Possibly elderly or handicapped people using a wheel chair face some difficulties in the hotel and its way to the beach. Facilities were OKish. We were negatively surprised of the heavy traffic in Saranda.

The staff were lovely, kind and super helpful. The beds were very comfortable. The food in the hotel restaurant was delicious and the portions are rather large.

We were deceived on so many levels. The balcony was extremely important to us because my mom cannot be on the beach. The room I booked had a beautiful wooden balcony with trees and side sea view, however what we got was NOT a balcony and with NO view. It was also not at all clean. I cancelled another better hotel I previously booked because of that balcony. They were fully booked so we were stuck with the room. The balcony was right underneath a busy road too. The air conditioner kept leaking and we had to keep the temperature to no less than 25 degrees. There were water marks on the ceiling as well probably from the bathroom on the floor abobe us. The bathroom smells moldy. All in all, I would not come back, only because what they show on the pictures is not what you get. I'm attaching below pictures of everything we disliked, as well as the balcony we were supposed to get vs the balcony we got.
