Hotel Saranda Palace

Nice hotel, we had an amazing view from our room - which was a big family room fitting up to 4 people, btw: very comfortable and spacious room! Good breakfast (highlight and thanks to the lady who every morning gave my baby banana - apparently they removed from breakfast because people would take several to their rooms), good facilities (the pool was very cold, though), beautiful views - the beach in front of the hotel is not easy for toddlers.

Restaurant! Overpriced, regular/mediocre food and worse of all: do not accept cash nor charge in the room and they simply don't warn us or put any sign! Then you have to rush the ATMs nearby and pay exorbitant fees! Don't go, not worth - the money nor the stress!

View front the room to the back, noisy and unpleasant. I would definitely choose a room with a sea view next time. No snacks offered at the beach/pool bar, only drinks, it would be nice to have something light to eat.

The hotel was in a great location and had a lovely sea view from the balcony. The breakfast was a great start to the morning after a nice sleep in the comfy beds. Staff were amazing and helped us with all our needs.

I have no idea why this hotel has such great reviews - I chose it because of those reviews. Huge mistake! First, the hotel definitely does NOT meet the criteria of the 4 star category. The Reception advertised as 24\7 is actually from 8 AM to 22.30PM. The rest of the time there is one security guard who does NOT speak English. You don't stand a chance if you need a doctor or something. There was a wedding in one of the nearby hotels on one of the evenings. The music was deafening, loud and terrible. Until 5 AM.5 AM!? In a resort where there are people to rest!? In the hotel, it is not possible to dial an outside line from your room to call the police - there are no instructions on how to do this. The security guard at the front desk REFUSED to call the police. Really?! In the hotel during the day there is NO way to talk to any manager if you have a problem. And there are enough problems! The maids who do NOT speak English have obviously not heard that when they are cleaning the corridors it is not good to SCREAM and make loud noise - people are supposed to be resting! I told the reception that. Twice. No result. Don't even try to sleep in this hotel between 1 PM and 4PM. The maids will be banging on doors, shouting at each other in the corridors and utterly amazed that you don't approve! When I insisted on speaking to a manager, it was explained that all questions were for the receptionists - the bosses live in England. Pillows and mattresses in the hotel are under all kinds of criticism. Mattresses are like a waterbed and cause bone problems. Pillows are only good if you want to break your neck while trying not to sink below ground level! I definitely do NOT recommend Saranda Palace! I wasted my money!!!

Rooms were very good, great view. Swimming pool was beautiful. Location was good, lots of good restaurants around but not too busy or too central. 20 min walk to the very centre of Sarande.

Shower in the room doesn't have a door so water goes everywhere. Swimming pool is deep all the way so not very safe. Lots of litter on the beach area that belongs to the hotel. Breakfast wasn't great. Hotel looked like was very good a while back but hasn't been maintained enough to keep the standards.

The staff were welcoming and polite on arrival and our rooms were cleaned well, daily (ants were a problem).

Appreciate we stayed at the start of the tourist season but we were not told that the facilities would not be available. The pool was completely empty, bar closed and breakfast was not great at all - poor choice, cold and cold coffee. It also wasn't made clear that there was a steep hill to access the property

Private beach is not really a beach but concrete area by the sea. Pool does not work No sun beds either we did not see many other guests stay in the hotel as well because its not perhaps the season yet if you are visiting in May/ June better to stay closer to the port and centre as it’s more lively than the area where the hotel is at

It is an old hotel that was recently refubrished. It looks nice on the surface, but still needs some work to be done.

Breakfast is terrible. Quality of food is really low and the only eatable this is fruits.

Stunning panorama and beautiful grounds including pool. Nice breakfast and comfortable rooms. Modern excellent bathroom.

everything else non of the people spoke English the ac is on heat and couldn’t change it and the guy said that we have to wait for the third shift the know how to change it we also ask for blanket they ignored us the food is cold and no option for muslim the drawers were broken

We were in pre season and the pool was still closed which was a bit of a bummer, but we could swim in the sea! A water cooker would be a nice addition to the room. Other than that no suggestions at all!

Breakfast was scumptuous. The property is located at the beach and has stunning views. It has several eating joints near by and few supermarkets too!! Highly recommended property.

During our stay, we really like our big room. We were three friends in one room, the space was really sufficient. Pool and hostel were really clean. The staff is friendly and available. Nice private beach.

The hostel is a little bit far from the city center if you are walking (20 minutes).
