Beautiful apartment close to the beach

I had a lovely stay at Forgotten Garden. I was upgraded to a studio with balcony, which was wonderfully sunny and comfortable. The apartments are close to the beach and the center of Portorož (5 min via stairs), private parking is included, location is quiet. Kitchen had everything one needs, bed was comfortable, wifi is fast. The staff was friendly. In November this was excellent value for money.

Can't think of anything, maybe the only thing that was missing was a hairdryer (or I didn't find it), but that's a small detail.

Very nice apartment and great location in Portoroz

The room was really nice, the bed was comfortable, the balcony was lovely, and the kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed.

There was a leak in the shower that had not been fixed, which resulted in a significant amount of water accumulating in the bathroom.

A cozy studio with well thought-out floorplan

Smelled of mold, the shower gel bottle was empty, no body lotion - not even upon request.

We absolutely loved our stay at Forgotten Gardens and are already planning to return next summer 😃

Wonderful location. Short walk to the promenade (steep stairs, but fine for us). The surrounding garden was lovely for our dog. Excellent parking as there is a large parking area below the apartments and some street parking at street level. Apartment is fully equipped. We stayed for 10 nights and it was serviced twice (we specifically requested this, but weren’t charged for the cleaning). Microwave in the kitchen, fly screens on bedroom windows, large balcony, cosy beds, good shower pressure, large smart TV, comfy couch, dog friendly….

It was SO hot. We were there during a heatwave and the air conditioner cooled the living room, but didn’t cool the bedrooms even though we always had the doors open. We bought a fan to help with circulation and left it in the apartment for the next guests. The temperature was fine the last two nights after the cool change had come through and it was lovely to have the windows open with the fly screens.

Green oasis close to the sea

The name is matching, there is a beautiful garden with huge old trees. We were welcomed by an extraordinary friendly person who gave us the keys, showed us around and provided a lot of information what to do and where to go. The appartment had a small kitchen with all necessary equipment provided. Bedsheets and towels good and clean. Whole appartment not too big, but just right for two adults and two children. Huge modern TV and good WiFi. Town center and beach can be reached by a short walk down some stairs and ramps, the way back up from the sea is a bit exhausting at times. By car it is like two minutes. Looking at the garden from our terrace was relaxing and traffic on the road could be noticed but was never loud.

The fan in the bathroom did run but did not move sufficient air, so it was always a bit too humid inside the bathroom. At some places the seams between tiles were a bit darkened, so this issue seems to be there for a while. While everything else was very clean, this was the only thing worth a note. Not enough towel hangers for four people.

93 , stairs to the bus station, heavy traffic on the road, so we had to take twice a taxi to come up and down with zjr luggage- no shower gel in the bathroom

I liked the compact apartment. It has a balcony as well. I had everything I needed. It was close to the town and the promenade. The weather was not too good but as they have a garden opposite the apartment I could take my dog for a quick run around it. Besides in proximity is the tunnel that connects Portorož with Strunjan for a nice walk where there are two nice restaurants. There is a shortcut down the stairs to the town center and a long promenade along the coast all the way to Piran. One can take the bus back.

Super stay in Slovenia

The location was ideal for access to waterfront and local bus transportation. The area was quiet and very picturesque. The staff were extremely accommodating and very friendly - always ready to offer advice on locations, transportation; arranging taxis and always quick to help. We had a fabulous week and loved where we stayed. It was super value.

The only issue we had was that the pillows were ready to be replaced.

The apartment is in a good location (as long as you are OK with steps/uphill walk) and parking was easy. The staff were very friendly and helpful and kept the outside areas clean. The apartment was spacious, comfortable and well equipped.

Great location as you are in the center very quickly but can't hear the bars, but it is located on the hill so only book it if stairs are no problem for you. Really nice staff and nice rooms. Option to rent bikes from the hotel but they were sadly already booked for our whole stay.

A great receptionist, they were kind enough to help us with our early arrival and made sure that we could get accomodation before offical check-in to not stay in the sun to long. The rooms are sapcious, clean and moderly designed.

The refrigator was a bit out of place besides the single bed near the middle of the room. A better location would be under the TV table as it would be a bit uncomfortable if there was a third person.

Perfect place for a seaside getaway

We came here with my family to finally spend some days together, and we weren't disappointed. The apartments overlook an area that used to be a garden, now it hosts a car park as well as the stairs to the apartment buildings, surrounded by palms and olive trees, giving the whole property a spacoius, airy feel. You can spend time outside, using a gas based, or tradional barbecue that they both have installed, next to what seems to be a pizza oven. One thing I wish I had with me is our hammock, since the trees in the garden had great spots for putting one of those up as well! Otherwise, the interiors are designed in a nice and practical way, the beds are comfortable, and staff is one of the most helpful I've met!

Our apartment had a tad too few places to store our clothes, but that's about it.

Very nice apartment but beware of the terrain.

We liked that fact that it is situated in a garden with lots of trees. We had a feeling we are staying in a small forrest. The apartment was small, simple but clean and well equipped for a few day stay. Very nice sitting on the terrace in the evening and enjoying some wine.

Oh the stairs…the whole property is situated on a hill. So to get to the beach and back you have to conquer a 10 min down/up the hill walk. If you are not fit at least a bit this is something to consider. Dragging up a hill in 36 Celsius with a beach bag is not for the weak individuals.
