Everything was good

The hotel is located in the proximity of the attractions and the city center.
The beds are clean but not the best quality. The double beds are consisted of two single beds put next to each other.

We stayed at Hotel Palazzuolo in October 2025 for 3 nights and 4 days and have no complaints about the property. It is very close to the train station and is a good location to reaching quite a few of the sites in Florence by walking.
When we first arrived I became disheartened because there was no elevator and the property is on the second floor. This was quickly alleviated because the owner helped with our luggage. My wife had took a fall earlier in the trip and was difficult for her to manage the stairs with luggage.
The staff, upon checking in, were superb and very helpful. Our room was adequate for two people and was very clean. The private bathroom was large for some of the places I had stayed previously in Italy. The staff would clean the room at 10 in the morning so you were not rushed to get going for the day. Our 3rd day there my wife was not feeling well and elected to stay in. I told the staff and they were accommodating and asked if there was anything they could do. I was impressed with this property for the cost of the room, the location, but most importantly the staff. I highly recommend this property.

I loved this place. Don't judge it by the exterior gate... inside it is pretty modern and spacious. The rooms are spotless, the air conditioner works perfectly, the little balcony/indoor courtyard attached to my room was very cute. Even though the bathroom was outside the room itself and in principle 'shared', not once did I find it occupied by someone else. The staff are very courteous and the cleaning service is excellent. Highly recommend these shared-bathroom-rooms for value for money.

It was clean, easy to check-in. Staff was very friendly we got free room cleaning! Very central and a good deal for the price. Would definitely recommend.

The room was spacious and the bathroom clean
There was a smell too strong (like air freshener) and the pillows were way too flat

Great location in Florence. Reception were very friendly. We had our own private bathroom (although separate to the room, it was just down the hall - we expected this). The wifi was great
Little things - the sink in the room didn’t drain properly and the shower/bathroom was tiny so it was hard not to get the whole bathroom wet. It had great ventilation and dried in no time though.
The bed sagged in the middle so both my partner and I found ourselves rolling towards the centre all night but it was comfortable enough
The walls are thin so we could hear our neighbours and their alarms but this seems to be common throughout Italy

I loved that we had a main entrance connected to the main street, it was very private and quiet.
Sometimes the bathroom smelled to smoke so it looks like there are people smoking in the rooms and nobody takes care of that.

location, close to train station and dome
bed mattress was really thin and uncomfortable, good for one night only

Very good location, 10-15’ to the Duomo, train station and other attractions. Our room had an independent entrance which was good because the place doesn’t have elevator. Spacious room and bathroom, comfortable beds.
For the price that it charges, it should, at least, have breakfast options. It is too pricey for how basic it is, it’s comfortable, yes, but it’s not a good value for money. The cleanliness should be more meticulous; trying to catch a mosquito we found spiderwebs behind the bed and dust under it. There was also dust on the hairdryer and hair in the shower. There is no lamps on the nightstand tables. Usually, I’m not this peaky, but once again, for the price that I paid for two nights, it must’ve been spotless.
Also, if you don’t leave the key, they don’t clean your room, which is fine but it should be announced at the moment of checkin in, as normally, the most of the hotels have copies for housekeeping.

property was a good location if you want to be near the train station. also, not far from the main attractions of Florence.
beds were comfortable
bathroom was nice
we had a double bed and a 3/4 sized bed in our room. we only used the double bed but did notice some ants on the second bed. didn’t think anything of it. then we left a packet of crisps on the second bed overnight ready to take with us on the train the next morning, we woke and found a pile of ants underneath the crisps. luckily nothing in our bed. so just be weary that there are definitely ants in some of the rooms.
to get from the Main Street to the reception desk there are some steep steps. couldn’t see a lift option and wasn’t informed of any lift option when reached the reception.

the location is good and share washroom is clean.
the center of bed or the frame underneath the bed is not supporting the body weight anymore.
