Army veterans invade Bayeux

The staff were really keen to help, they were very friendly. We enjoyed our time there.

As with all French hotels, they don't understand the need for cold milk, especially with cereals, we bought our own and placed it in the hotels fridge. The location is a little far away from the town but we didn't worry too much.

The room was much smaller than anticipated; due to our need for a portacot there was then no space for our suitcases to be opened - also the toilet and showers both individually just opened up into the main space so added to the feeling of it being very small. Also the location was less central than expected, with the hotel being more in the industrial area.

The breakfast is excellent and in vast quantities. The rooms are absolutely clean and comfortable. Super easy access to Bayeaux and the Autoroutes. Easy to find.

I really don’t have anything bad to say. I always wish the rooms were a little bigger being from the U.S.A. But I also understand the European view in that the room is for cleaning up and sleeping. Go out and SEE what you CAME for! 😁

bad start but experience improved

Good area good parking. comfortable beds and clean towels

check in was wrong. Booked a triple through booking.com and given just a double room. Checking quickly rectified with new room but had to make our own third bed up. which was a bunk bed for a 26 year old. A bit of a graphic misrepresentation of triple room showed double and single bed Bathroom and bedroom divider was just a thin curtain.

All you needfir a one night stay

Clean hotel, had pretty much everything needed for a one night stay.

Tea / coffee making facility in the room would have been welcome. We have stayed in an Ibis before and the bed sheets never seem to fit properly. They always come loose in the night so that by morning the matress is exposed at the corners.

A very expensive error

Room the size of a rabbit hutch for exorbitant price. Nothing budget about it. No hairdryer, soap container in shower empty, water pressure low, lack of space to put anything, especially if there are two of you. It was so awful, it became a joke.

We did not eat breakfast at the hotel. The room was clean and comfortable. Our purpose in staying was to visit Normandy, which was very close. For anyone going to Bayeux, we highly recommend seeing the Bayeux tapestry, which is a treasure.

The only thing that didn't meet my expectations was the shower. It can't be adjusted and you need to take it off the holder to be able to rinse yourself. It's not a big issue but it doesn't add to comfort.

It was perfect for my colleague in a wheelchair, we brought our own commode so that helped also. Very spacious rooms and shower room. Breakfast was OK with a nice variety staff very helpful.

Enjoyable - Bayeux is a very nice little town and the tapestry is a master piece of course.
