I’d like that it was close to the border and I could go walking to Belgium
At night, I could hear the bar that was that street and didn’t allow me to have a restful sleep

Clean and comfortable room with provided refreshments, but limited choice of tea.
Central location to town.
No parking so had to leave car approximately 300 metres away in a town car park.
Room no sound proof could hear other residents walking past room and using the staircase.
Not a vegetarian restaurant as stated on menu, unless you eat fish and veggie choice came with Parma ham!
Breakfast not included in room cost.

I left at 7, before breakfast was served, so I cannot comment on it. However, if the other facilities are anything to go by, I'm sure it is fine.

Perfect location to explore the town(s) of Baarle.
Room was comfy although noisy bar across the street ran late.
Tea and coffee making facilities were good.
Paying 19 euros each for breakfast was a bit steep for such a meagre offering, no fresh juice!
We stuck to breads and pastries and a glass of squash as the meats and cheese had fly nets over each plate, but only served to trap the flies onto the food, very off putting with 5-6 flies buzzing around under every net and all over the food - Unacceptable.
We complained and not offered any sort of refund.

Location. Den Engel in in the heart of Baarle-Nassau. I rode the bus from Turnhout with the stop in front of Den Engel. Just across the street is Tourist Information staffed with knowledgeable, kind and helpful people.

Cozy hotel in Baarle-Nassau. The room was small, but enough for 1 night. The cleaning could be upgraded, so I share the same opinion of others guests. The breakfast was fair.

The location and history of the hotel and restaurant.
No shower available in the room we stayed in. Only a bath with a shower head with no shower curtain or glass.

Superb location - right on Belgian/Dutch border. That's why I went - to explore the fascinatuing enclave landscapes.
The hotel was used both by visitors, but also locals meeting up for drinks and parties. it was a wonderfully friendly vibe - I loved it.
The furniture in the bedroom was flimsy.

Good location and fine meal
Would have been nice to have proper china cups in the room, not paper, and glasses in the bathroom, not plastic.

The room was big and it was good value for money. I liked it very much that the entry to my room was on one side of the building and not through the restaurant. I also ate at the restaurant and it was a tasty meal, kuddos to the chef. The hotel is right next to the border where you can take cool photos. I would say this hotel has the best location in Baarle nassau
I checked out early morning and reception was closed. I saw some people left the key card on the small shelf, a lady worker saw me as if she saw an alien, I said I was there to leave the key.. this was a bit uncomfortable because she looked at me like I was an intruder or something

The location of the property is fantastic
The beds are small (80cm wide) and the matrasses are way to soft. These are cheap hotel beds. in our specific room the bathroom had no door. These two things together for 101 euro are one big downer. The staff let me wait, they weren’t unfriendly but helped another staff member first instead of handing me the key and showing me the room. Not highly impressed.

Rooms were very tidy and clean. The overall standard of the rooms were high-end compaired to the prices...
The staff was at least 3 different Nationallities. Everyone tried to communicate in English by there were difficulties a few times... -But this didn't spoil our stay! We will return here the next time we are in the Netherlands.

The cleaning service should wait until the time of the checkout. There is no reason to disturb multiple times that morning

Very nice restaurant from the Hotel
The room 5 that we were in was extremely small. Less than 1 meter around the bad. For 100 euros/night I am expecting a little more space not hostel type room with price of big hotel

Very nice breakfast, attentative personnel, great location on the "border line". Close to the bus stop to Breda/Tilburg (Jaanstraat). Across the street there's a tourist info center.
Equipment of the room might be a bit upgraded, but for overnight sleep is okay.

Fijne locatie, fijn restaurant, bedden lagen goed
