The roast beef served was very tough. But they did address this and gave us pork

good pub food, pleasant atmosphere, friendly staff, lovely quiet location, traditional country pub
incredibly creaky floors throughout, could hear every movement from other guests. Appreciate it is an old building but very noisy.
Broken loo seat in the bathroom, electric shower had no pressure due to a leak from the water heater.

This was exactly what we looking for, a small, quaint place to stay with traditional features. We loved our room, the food was excellent, every one was really friendly and they were super kind & welcoming to our dog. We would definitely recommend :-)
Couldn’t find anything not to like.

Lovely hotel! Great that it is dog friendly as we travelled with our pup Archie.
Food: Great selection of food and drinks. The breakfast was outstanding. Small selection of pastries, toast, jam and cereals and a fab cooked option including full English and eggs florentine! The dinner wasn’t amazing, but perfectly adequate.
Room:
Rooms are small but as expected for the Cotswolds! Super comfy beds, very clean, nice touches like hot chocolate, biscuits and chocolates in the room. The TV signal was poor, but I didn’t go to the Cotswolds to watch tv 😂.
Staff:
Staff were welcoming, helpful and friendly. Made sure we had everything we needed and kept the drinks flowing.

Really cozy typical English country village pub/hotel. The rooms are small - they are upfront about that on the website/app - but beautifully appointed, clean and comfortable.
The staff are lovely. And the pub has a great traditional atmosphere. A great place to sit, eat and drink.
Maybe it was just the day we were there, but the other customers were really friendly too, which was nice. It's a small space, so you can hear what people nearby are saying, and people just accept that, and you end up striking up conversations with very nice folk!

The staff was warm and kind, above and beyond! Our room was beautiful and cozy. They left a Christmas bag on our bed with treats which was a surprise and delighted us. The food was excellent. We were both impressed beyond words!

This was an absolutely amazing property… Built in 1580, this is an honest-to-God, Elizabethan structure with a friendly staff, good food, and the ambience of a classic village pub. A truly memorable experience.

We've stayed here on a number of occasions now as we love everything about the Falklands. The cosiness of the accommodation and pub, the delicious breakfast, the friendly staff and the amazing location. Our dog absolutely loves it and there are so many great walks nearby.
The room we stayed in this time was slightly more noisy than others we've been in but mostly that just added to the atmosphere.

On walking through the door we were welcomed by the staff, our lunch was excellent.
Our room had everything we needed , breakfast was freshly cooked again the amazing staff made our stay.
We will be back
My only comment would be that the beds are a standard double in size

I could not have had a more pleasant welcome by Tom, the barman / host when I arrived after a long drive. He was courteous & made me feel most welcome. After walking my dog for 20 minutes I enjoyed a pint, and then a good burger, which I shared with my hound as I’d forgotten to bring food for him, his dinner was supplemented by a sausage from the kitchen. How nice 👍

The quaint building. The open fire.
The bed was so unbearably uncomfortable, the springs were worn. We were unable to sleep.
We were up 26 very winding steps to the attic room. We are both pensioners.we were unable to bring our suitcase up the narrow stairs.
The bathroom smelt of damp dishcloths.
The toilet seat was loose.
There was no hook for the shower.
The toiletries were not individual, as shown in pictures. They were in larger containers and very difficult to get any of the soap out of them.
The quality of the cooked full English breakfast was very poor.
The bacon was streaky.
The sausage had a strange taste, along with the mushroom.
The tomato was tasteless. The beans were dried up. We left the majority of it.
Whilst we were sat at the breakfast table. The cleaner was mopping the floors in the hallway and the bar, which were next to where we were sitting. The odour of cleaning fluid was overpowering the taste of any of the breakfast. Also the mop bucket was being filled in the kitchen from what looked liked the hot water from the coffee making machine. The kitchen door was left open.
The on road parking had a large lorry passing through getting very close to the cars. The church opposite had builders working on it during our stay.
We have stayed in many bed and breakfast accommodation. And this was a very dissapointing stay. And certainly not worthy of the price paid.

It was wonderful, atmospheric, olde world, rustic. Best nights sleep, delicious dinner and breakfast. Lovely hosts. Highly recommend.
Loved it all

A very, very old pub and NOT a modern hotel - that is why it was so good and full of character - the beams were real, not fibreglass, the ceilings were low, the floorboards creaked and the room was cosy. Excellent restaurant and delicious breakfasts. The village, Great Tew, is stunningly beautiful - do find time for a walk around the fields, lanes and houses.
The bedroom walls and floors were somewhat thin, we could hear a lot of movement and hissing pipes - but this did not distract our stay too much.

Fantastic bar, great staff and a very welcoming atmosphere.
Tiny bathroom and small shower cubicle (I am 6’3” and a bit overweight ) There was a spider on the ceiling and a flea in my bed. It’s a dog friendly hotel, so it was inevitable that there would be an occasional rogue flea. I didn’t like it, but I wasn’t, particularly, fazed by it (ex dog owner). I’ve got to say that it was difficult to use the toilet facilities because of the cramped conditions.

We came from Canada and found the Falkland Arms such a wonderful place to stay. The staff were amazing, the facilities nice, the food was great no matter what time of the day you ate, and the pub was welcoming and warm. Ellen and Tom were very welcoming and fun to chat with. Wish we stayed longer
The stair climb! Adds to the character of the building though. Honestly didn't have anything we didn't like.
