Clean, tasty food, central location

From the moment we entered the hotel, Ms. Hilal from customer services introduced us to the hotel with a smile and was very attentive. We were very welcomed and felt special! From the breakfast to the room and the spa center, everything was perfect! A place to consider again!

Also the room has a tiny hamam which was are favorite place, after long day to relaxed with !

Central hotel, solid experience.

The room was well made, good size. Modern TV with netflix. Location is very central. Lounge access was very comfortable for snacks and drinks. Staff was nice and helpful.

Food in the hallway. The bathroom smelled a little bit like poop (from the pipes). Things in the spa and some of the furniture were damaged, some things were broken (make the room light, curtain did not always open). Pool was very small.

Large deluxe room. Good breakfast buffet. Fast lifts. Great, quiet location.

Serious housekeeping issues: 3 days out of 5, we had to request for housekeeping to attend to our room (each time returning to our room after 2pm). The 1st time, reception staff stated housekeeping would attend shortly and apologized. Room was refreshed within 20mins (clean towels, water, tea/coffee sachets replenished - that is all we required). We had vacated the room and activated the green ‘clean my room’ button for over 5 hrs. The 2nd time, reception staff stated “housekeeping is done between 4-5pm daily - we are very busy”. This was new to us, and was not evident on booking.com invoice and if this was a hotel policy - this was not told to us on check in. We had vacated the room and activated the green ‘clean my room’ button for 6 hrs, this day. The 3rd time, we called reception but phone was engaged. We then visited reception staff to request for the manager to attend our room. “No manager at the moment”. Later on, 2 people attended our room - we suspect the duty manager and a lady who may have been assisting with English translation. We queried why on the 2nd day, housekeeping cleaned our room at 8.30am while we were eating breakfast? We queried why on the 5th day, housekeeping was cleaning the 2 rooms next to ours at 8.30am, and applying some logic - why housekeeping would not refresh (replace towels, water and replenish tea/coffee sachets) our room. On this day we vacated our room at 9.00am, returning at 2.30pm. The duty manager explained “it is hotel policy that rooms requiring check in for 2.00pm are prioritized and that existing guests in rooms can have housekeeping occur up until 7pm”. Again we queried why this was not explained on check in and on booking? This is not an issue with the housekeepers, they were all fantastic. We have never had our rooms refreshed and replenished at 7pm at night, never. Towels left on the floor until 7pm? ‘Clean my room’ button on, until 7pm? Where is my rest period after sight seeing?

Good... more a business hotel than leisure

Staff were delightful in every way, including reception , security and housekeeping.

Interior design is very gloomy and dark, with small weaving corridors. As a solo female traveller the floors where the room are didn't feel very safe ( you literally can barely see it is so poorly lit / dark ). Also a bit smelly in the corridors on floor 6 where I was staying. The room itself was fine. Note they also preauthorise your credit card for an extra 100 euros, like a bond, at the start of the stay which I found unorthodox. I used the spa as well and found the male staff coming in and out of the hamami while there were female guests in it uncomfortable as well ( not in the washing area, in the sauna area).

Absolutely fabulous, friendly, central, beautiful people

What can I say. Absolutely fabulous hotel, from the moment I arrived, great with smile warm welcome, took my luggage for me. I was able to check in supper early which was a must for myself. Check in was easy and very pleasant, the junior suite which I booked for myself and 2 other family members. It has been more than enough room and with the club lounge pass which is fabulous. Nothing was to much for this hotel and their staff, super friendly, welcoming, always greeted you when you returned from a day out ect. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Izmir, right in the centre for everything. Thank you for a wonderful stay

Wonderful location, very friendly staff

The location was perfect, ear the old center and the bazar, and the harbor. Realfast was fine and the roof terrace stunning. The staff was extremely helpful, for instance in recommending restaurants. Thank you for that, Hilal! Also kudos to Damla, Ülkü and Emre for making us feel at home.

The people in reception is good and very kind.

The breakfast price is too expensive compared to other places “it’s more than triple”, also there is a bad smell in the reception area and the service staff there English is poor. They came to check the minibar every day with bad timing , they take off the electricity key after the cleaning which turned off the AC which make the room too hot.

Not worth the price

The stuff at the reception and main entrance is very kind and helpful. They welcome guest with a smile. The hotel location is excellent, in the main area close to the sea, coffee shops and restaurants, walking distance to main points.

The price is too high for the stands the hotel offers. This is definitely not a 5 stars hotel. The ambience is pretty old. The smell at the reception point is very unpleasant. The cleaning service shall put more attention to details. First time I was staying at the hotel where towels were not exchange at all, during 6 night I had same towels…The breakfast is very poor, offering every single day same food which is also not good quality e.g.bakery area and vegetables. Also the life cooking pancakes and eggs were also not cooked well. As a summary this is a decent hotel with great location. Pretty old, offering low quality with too high price.

A beautiful stay with great staff and facilities

We had an amazing stay. The staff, especially Betul has excellent customer service skills. She made us feel at home. Location is excellent, nestled between the pier and the tram and Alsancak. Beautiful streets lined up with coffee shops. Rook had everything we needed and more.

A nice hotel that needs a refresh and better trained staff. The catering staff and food were very good though.

We had the executive suite as we wanted to stay inside the hotel quite a bit. The room was very large and a lovely spa bath. Good location for when we did go sightseeing. The club lounge was small with limited range, but what was there was actually very good and changed regularly. The in-house spa provided us with a great Hamam experience

Some of the room felt a bit dated. No smart TV for instance. Some of the curtains did not close properly. Our biggest issue was that there was no outdoor pool with a bar. We had planned to use that extensively. The pool is small, shallow, and on a below-ground floor.

Food at sky fire was good, staff was nice, room was clean and the location was very good.

Room is very dark! Not enough light, so it’s not great when doing make-up. Check in is way too slow. Expect Atleast 30mins of waiting time, pillows for bed weren’t good atall and bed was uncomfortable
