Not worth the Hilton Name nor the money

Staff was very friendly and kind and room service was good and fast. Centrally located within walking distance distance to the basar etc. shops right in front including super market

Honestly, possibly worst “Hilton” I h e stayed in and doesn’t deserve the Hilton name. Found hotel and room run down and not worth the money. Breakfast was absolutely abysmal! Not even worth half the price they charge. Even an Ibis hotel has better breakfast and more choice than the Hilton here. Would not stay there again. Pool is tiny (more like a large whirlpool). My window wouldn’t close, toilet barely flushed… asked to have things fixed 3 times - it never happened.

Our room smelled heavy smoking Small refrigerator didn’t work Air condition was ok. In the morning, about 7:30am, we woke up with loud noises if doors being closed, banging and furniture move. Went out and saw cleaning lady is just opening the doors and banging things around. I said, could you please be quiet, she said sorry no English. 🤷🏿‍♂️ For the money we paid, little too much to put up with.

Not what we expected

A friend and I went travelling and wanted to use this Hilton as a base for day trips out to Pammukkale etc, so as friends ordered a twin room with a kitchen. The listing said it included a fridge, freezer, microwave etc and we could see pictures so felt fairly confident it would have this, oh and yes separate beds. We arrived pretty late and the staff were friendly and polite (and yes we recieved a warm cookie on arrival) and went up to our room. Firstly it wasn't as expected, they'd given us a normal hotel double and we were too tired to do anything about it but it did really put us out. The 'spa' was quite a small area downstairs and on our second day we recieved a few phone calls to our room asking us if we wanted treatments with a discount... we gave it a go. The 'spa' area is in essence a sauna, steam room and shower. Which is fine. Then there is the turkish hammam which is in all the photos. We had the turkish bath (again friends.....) together and it was excruciatingly embarrassing we were both scrubbed EVERYWHERE! but it was a good experience and not to be missed. They did offer us some quite good discounts for shorter services and the spa treatments were really good. I didn't notice any hairs on the bed or dirt, I thought it was quite a clean space. The wifi was decent for our uses, checking flights watching movies etc. Also the staff were very good at helping us with general tasks, printing boarding passes and even arranging to have my coat dry cleaned as it had gotten soaking wet on a day tour. There are two restaurants, breakfast is served in the lower floor, which is a shame as the rooftop one is beautiful but was completely empty when we went up there one evening. Noise - I know a lot of people talk about noise but I thought it was quieter than expected, i could hear the neighbours, their alarm in the morning but not much else. Traffic noise is fine with windows shut.

Ok so better signposting to let people know the pool is closed over winter (it is quite a small rooftop pool). Probably getting the room right would be good too. Clarifying what a 'kitchen' is would be great - we had a 'minibar' which only just kept food cold and a kettle. So floor 2 is a smoking floor and did noticably smell of cigarettes. Our floor (7) was better. And as others have pointed out the AC was ridiculous, the room was stifflingly hot and even though you set the AC to cool it would inevitably switch itself over to hot after a while, usually while you were asleep and didn't notice. (Probably a user error). If there was an 'average' box I'd put breakfast in there, we were really tired and hadn't slept much so probably didn't take it in but I was really looking forward to all the different bits they have, but it was all a bit bland, they do offer to make you an ommlette on the spot, but I didn't really want to talk to anyone so didn't try this. The staff were really helpful and friendly while we ate, asking about our plans helping us with drinks to the table etc. On our last day in Turkey we had an excellent taxi driver who used an app called 'sayhi' to talk to us it was brilliant - I wish the staff had used this because it did often feel like we were talking at cross purposes. Highly recommend the app if you don't speak turkish.

I have always preferred the brand Hilton for the quality of the service and the properties. I have stayed at this property more than 25 years ago - was new - and I have to admit, the environment was still the same; friendly and professional even after two decades. The staff members were nice young people willing to do their best and make each guest feel like home. The General Manager Mr Ali was our favorite one for having the patience to deal with my family members. I admire the patience and professionalism Mr Ali had and would like to thank him for making my family's stay memorable. Our only address in the province is the Hilton Alsancak and hereby, I'd like to thank you all.

Excellent Izmir city hotel

Fabulous small hotel centrally located in excellent part of Izmir and near to the many facilities at the sea. The room with side window and views on level 6 was very good quality and comfort with openable windows and effective heating. On the roof top is a fabulous sun platform and outdoor pool and restaurant with city and sea views. The breakfast is fabulous,

It was clean and fairly modern. Staff was wonderful - nothing beats Turkish hospitality.

The location, size of the room was small, the hairdryer didn’t work, there was no milk in the fridge…these small things that make all the difference.

Comfortable stay but needs attention for a Hilton Hotel

Bed was very comfortable. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Place was generally clean. Easy access to the metro bus. Roughly a 2 min walk from the hotel and Izmir Karts are on sale right outside the hotel at one of the shops.

Shower water wasn't hot. Spoke to reception and nothing was done about it. First day our rooms weren't made and amenities weren't replaced. Pool is out of order until March next year (not sure why). Middle lift never took me to my floor on multiple occasions. Lighting in the rooms were very bad. Cigarette smell was coming through the air ducts into my room.
