This was a lovely hotel in a great location. All staff from reception to restaurant and housekeeping were welcoming friendly and approachable. I did not use the bar so can't rate this area. The room was lovely with a nice big tv and a bath as requested. Bathroom and bedding towels etc. all exceptionally clean and included hairdryer, iron and small ironing board. There was a wedding downstairs and live music in the bar in the floor below our room but we heard nothing. Breakfast included a selection of cereals toast preserves and fruit juices tea and coffee which were all self service and there was a small menu to order cooked breakfast from. The Scottish breakfast was delicious and restaurant staff efficient and attentive. We did not eat dinner in the hotel although ordered from a few local takeaways which were all good with fast delivery.
Whilst the room was generally clean and bed spotless, the upholstered chair in the room could do with a vacuum or steam clean as was full of crumbs and hair. Also blinds were very dusty and skirting boards and runners of the wardrobe really dirty and full of dust although this did not affect our stay. There was also a noisy generator or vent/fan running outside our window which seemed to run all night.

Staff very nice, rooms basic but clean.
Blind in room broke and after reporting it noone came to fix it.

The bed was very comfortable and the breakfast was nice.
The room was very tired and cramped. We had no cold water from the tap and there was kids smoking cannabis in their car whilst we got to our room.
