The room that I stayed in was great.
The lady staff member (i’m guessing the owner?) was nothing but rude. Her tone of voice was despicable. If I hadn’t of already pre paid then I would have left due to the way that she spoke to me. I’ve not paid to be spoken to in a disrespectful manner and to be made uncomfortable. Also the shower in my room only had half of its doors and there wasn’t an option to add any cold water, so it was piping hot.

Great decor and location. Despite being so close to the main road it was very quiet. Staff were lovely, food excellent. Would definitely return again.
The shower pressure isn’t great. And whilst I appreciate they were fully booked New York (the room we were in) had two single beds pushed together (not especially uncomfortable) but it would have been made much better by a double or king sized duvet, not two singles.

Comfortable bed, great breakfast, welcoming hosts and very clean.
Noisy bed frame.

Close to shops, allowed early parking on day of arrival
It needed a deep clean and some renovations to damp patches on walls and ceilings, it looked generally tired with faded bedding and thick dust and cobwebs on ceilings

Absolutely nothing! This is possibly the worst hotel we have ever stayed in!
The staff were so rude and scruffy looking. We got shouted at for coming in at 11pm for talking and laughing as people were sleeping! This was 11pm on a Saturday night! The way we were spoken to was disgraceful. I have no idea how this place has stayed open - the customer service is non existent!
The rooms were themed and absolutely awful, so tacky! There was also an unpleasant smell and the sheets and towels were dirty and smelly! For £120 a night I didn’t expect luxury but at least a clean and comfortable room.
The whole place was smelly and dirty, there were rubbish bags left around and because the staff were so rude there was a horrible atmosphere. We left at 7:30am as couldn’t stand to be there any longer.

Great location, comfortable pillows.
Property didn’t answer my email or message on booking.com, room was cold with a window that let in a draught all night, shower was a dribble and didn’t drain which meant you had to stop half way through the shower otherwise the tray would over flow, mattress wasn’t comfort.

The uniqueness of the property struck us the most. Our hosts were lovely and breakfast was amazing. An absolute must
Only real thing I can say is the bedrooms were a little smaller than expected. Wasn’t really an issue for us for our stay

Fantastic hosts, lovely room (Casablanca), great location, shops, takeaways etc. Shower was amazingly hot. Breakfast was outstanding! We both had the Croquet Monsieur each.
I loved everything about the Casablanca room, but the circus/tent style covering on the wardrobe wasn’t there and the trim on the sofa bed wasn’t there either, which kind of detracted something from the feel of the room overall. I wanted to take pictures of the bar before I left, as it looked amazing. But the door was locked. I asked if I could just quickly take some photos and she said it was empty and not worth seeing. But I had passed it coming in the night before and it looked fabulous. So I was disappointed about that. Being disabled. It takes a lot out of me and I was going to an event the night I arrived, so I hadn’t got time to visit the bar beforehand. My fault I know, but it looked like we were the only guests. And we had such a good chat beforehand I thought that she might accommodate me.

Great location and a very clean, spacious room. I really appreciated the amount of storage — plenty of wardrobe and drawer space, unlike many places where you end up keeping things on the floor. The room had everything you could possibly need: an iron and ironing board, a fan, a hairdryer, a kettle, a mini-fridge, cups, glasses, spoons, and enough towels for everyone. The themed rooms are a brilliant idea — ours was the London room, and it was beautifully decorated. The bathroom was spacious too, with both a shower and a bathtub, and everything was spotless. The hosts were absolutely lovely — it’s clearly a family-run place, and you can feel the care and attention they put into it. We didn’t get to try the breakfast, as one of my sons isn’t keen on hotel breakfasts (he's autistic), which I’m sure was our loss.
The only thing that could be improved would be adding a curtain to the bathtub and making the shower screen non-transparent. When there’s just one bathroom to share, that would make things a bit more convenient

Good Location - very quirky hotel - room was very funky - as described - very cosy and well equipped - unique I think would describe it - we did not get much time in the hotel as we were unable to check in when we arrived and therefore went into Nottingham and only returned to go to bed
We were greeted by a gentleman who I assume was the owner and whilst we were there at 2 he said we were not in a position to check in until 3 - which was ok however the hotel was quiet so this seemed absurd - also at this time he wanted to know if we wanted breakfast the following day! When we returned in the evening we were greeted within someone on reception and did not get to see very much of the hotel

Marina was lovely, very welcoming. The Tokyo themed twin room was pretty and very comfy beds. We didn't have breakfast but the choice of options looked amazing.
Could have been more generous with the coffee and sugar allocation and no tea spoon.

Very friendly owners. Beautiful room, it felt very special staying in it and had lots of details. Lovely big bath. Breakfast was delicious.
Was a bit noisy due to it being on the main road and bed was a bit hard and creaky. But would definitely stay again!

The place is very interesting, great hosts and the room was clean and tidy and a lovely theme. Breakfast was superb. The location is good for the city centre.
Despite the fact the time we had there was very enjoyable, the hosts were great the parking was private and safe and the breakfast was absolutely superb.... The first impression of the room was it looked bigger in the photos. There is one showing the shower and looking into the room, I took that as the room was pretty big and kind of open plan with the shower etc a nice feature of the room. This photo was cleverly taken from inside the bathroom.
The breakfast and I will say again it was superb was added on ... £30, the parking as good as it is was added on £10 all of a sudden the £150 a night room becomes a £190 a night room.
This just feels a little cheeky when you considered the actual cost to the owner of the two breakfasts and a car sat in a parking space they own...? We did have a great time there for our wedding anniversary, but I wouldn't go back. I feel an all but £200 a night room somewhere else would make me happier. I spend a lot of time in hotels and it obviously varies from one to the next. I didn't leave there thinking my money was well spent. I'm not complaining I'm just voicing my own humble opinion.

Unusual, with rooms having different international city themes. We need different things to take us out of ourselves; out of the normal; that’s how it worked for our enjoyable stay
No light at the front steps. Not so good in the dark

Location
Not easily found. Can’t get into the car park until you check in but parking at the front is limited.
Breakfast extremely expensive. Bed too soft and rooms very small. The bed frame is way too big for the size of the room. On a plus side, the pillows was comfortable. The shower was way too hot and I couldn’t turn the temperature down.

I loved the idea of different themes in each room. We really enjoyed staying there. Breakfast was great. Hosts made us feel very welcome. We could park behind the property with a security gate.
Although the room we stayed was great but I found the mattress was a bit too soft.

The property was amazing, the different room themes were gorgeous, especially the breakfast room.
There wasn’t anything we didn’t like, if I had to say one thing it was the bed was a bit noisy.

Beautiful room - very colourful with lovely artwork. When I left behind my valuable ring, Marina from Mama's inn was incredibly helpful in searching for the lost ring, then returning it to me swiftly and securely to my home address.
Nothing!

Location was great, next to town for our concert
The woman at reception was nice and friendly
Toilets were very classy, great porcelain, felt grand
Shower was good
Didn’t like the decoration of the rooms or the bedding, it was way too much for summer, and the material was too heavy. Would’ve preferred some standard white linen underneath even with all the cushions or bed throws on top which can be taken off
The parking situation was a bit odd as it was unclear where to park, despite having booked a slot there were none, and I was told to just leave my car in what I presume was the neighbours side, trying not to block their entrance. Found this a bit odd

No mention that the propertty did not have elevators!
Our rooms were on 2nd floor and we had to struggle to carry our heavy luggages by stairs to the rooms.
Likewise, to being the luggages down to ground floor.
Best to mention upfront in the property description that no elevators available.

Location
Bedding was excessively worn and smelt like dried damp urine.
3 times in the night people tried to get in my room with keys. Very noisy and didn’t sleep due to the other guests.

Stunning room with lovely furnishings, massive four poster bed which was comfortable and the choice of a bath or shower. The guesthouse itself is beautifully presented and has real character inside.
Only criticism was the shower. I couldn't find a cool or cold setting in the heatwave !!
However the option of the bath as well was a welcome answer as it did have cold water.
