Lovely hotel with great facilities Friendly on reception & on checking-in was asked if I preferred a room high up or nearer first floor Opted for level 6 which had a nice view of the city & could see how close the hotel is to the music venue Rock City (had come to see Of Monsters and Men) Nice bar and lounge on the first floor with plenty of room, there's also a good pub directly opposite. Breakfast was excellent too (served 6.30am - 10am) Had intended to use the free pool but didn't get up in time.

We stayed here for two nights, half board which included breakfast and evening meal. The hotel was ideal for our stay as the Theatre Royal is just nearby. The beds were very comfortable and the room and bathroom were spotless and nicely decorated and furnished. The pillows were quite firm. There was a large TV. The towel rail in the bathroom became detached, but otherwise a lovely room, although the sound insulation between the rooms is poor.TBH. We ate, both nights, in the dining area by the bar and the food was adequate but not outstanding. Rafae our waiter was so cheerful and polite it made a big difference. Breakfast was excellent in my opinion, but we did go down early and avoid the crush. The swimming pool is in the basement but was warm and clean. Could get quite busy. The bar and lounge areas are spacious and relaxing.
The single twin beds were a little narrow and the pillows quite firm. The restaurant food was adequate but a bit variable. Starters were good (falafel, salmon), mains variable ie rigatoni, good; tagine, not so much. Parking is not cheap at £18 per day.

As Nottingham is our home city, staying in a local hotel wasn’t something we’d planned. We only booked the Crowne Plaza Nottingham due to an unexpected boiler failure at home, with the stay covered by our home insurance. What could have been a stressful and inconvenient situation was genuinely made much easier thanks to the quality of the hotel and the excellent service we received.
The hotel is centrally located, right next to Rock City nightclub, yet despite this it was surprisingly quiet. Even being in the heart of the city, noise was never an issue, which we really appreciated.
The spa facilities were a real bonus. The steam room and jacuzzi were both excellent, and while the pool is on the smaller side, it was ideal for relaxing. There is no sauna, but the facilities that are available are clean, well maintained, and very enjoyable to use.
Staff across the hotel were consistently friendly, talkative, and helpful, creating a welcoming atmosphere throughout our stay.
A particular highlight was the restaurant service. Rafae looked after us at dinner for four nights and provided outstanding service. He was attentive, proactive, and genuinely thoughtful. On the occasions when the kitchen had run out of an item, he always went out of his way to make it right — even offering small but much-appreciated extras such as an additional scoop of ice cream. That level of care really stands out.
Given the circumstances of our stay, the Crowne Plaza Nottingham more than made up for the inconvenience and stress of having no heating or water at home. It turned an unexpected situation into a comfortable and positive experience, and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it.

Beautiful hotel, such a lovely atmosphere. Our room was lovely, clean tidy and very comfortable. The hotel is located perfectly for shopping or watching show. Staff was lovely, especially Gemma on reception, who booked us in, so helpful and friendly. Will definitely stay again.
No complaints

The location is good.
The pillows felt a bit hard. While there someone in the corridor was “kicking off” and banging on one of the bedroom doors and screaming “let me in” around 11pm - fortunately a quick call to Reception did seem to sort it out. Unfortunately The walls between rooms are not very soundproof either.

Front of house staff extremely helpful, polite, friendly and professional, we were welcomed on arrival and couldn’t ask for better service!
The only thing I could say is the pillows are not very soft

The hotel staff were excellent the hotel is centrally located and having the carpark attached is a real bonus. Great buffet breakfast will be staying again soon
The hotel rooms were thin and at time you can here the occupants next door.

The location and friendly staff at the reception.
There was no information provided during the booking that there was a possibility you could be placed next to a club. Be prepared for a poor night’s sleep. They do not provide earplugs.
One of the glasses provided in the room was completely covered in dust.
Children were in the spa way past the cut-off point of 6:30pm.
The air-conditioning did not work in my room. It got too hot and then when I turned it down, it became faulty and didn’t heat up the room at all.
Poor customer service provided when I attempted to book a spa treatment.

Good location, lovely staff and nice decor in the communal areas. Felt luxury.
The room was a little smaller than I thought when booking and the cleaning wasn't up to standard. There was thick dust on top of the furniture and we found a packet of oral gel sachets that had an expiry date of 2018 meaning that the top of the wardrobe hadn't been touched or cleaned since for at least 8-9 years if not longer and we both have really stuffy noses and congestion now due to the level of dust in the room. We used the fan as it was warm and this must have been thick with dust too which has caused us to be very dry and stuffy in our noses and throat.

Room and shower was ok. The TV signal dropped on the TV when I went down to report it was told the earlist is 930 as that is when house keeping come in. When I was asking about parking she did not really help with it

Great price for a Sunday night stay. Walking distance to the Motorpoint Arena. Excellent room, spa facilities and breakfast choice. Friendly staff

The staff were absolutely fantastic in all areas and the location was good
Poor nights sleep......Unfortunately, when I can hear the people in the next room having a conversation and the television from the other neighbours room, then a reasonably early nights sleep was out of the question. The sound proofing was appalling, so as people walked along the corridor you could hear them through the door and when my neighbours decided to shower before bed, it sounded like they were in my bathroom.
I checked with a couple of different staff and the tips are not passed on to the staff so pay any tips in cash.

Everything you need. Good service, nice staff, beds comfy and food was excellent.
To pick a fault if I have to, would be one lift was out for maintenance. However, It’s not really an issue.

Lack of light in bedroom - common in many hotels but I wish there had been more than a table lamp!

The location of this hotel is absolutely fantastic, around a 10 or 15 minute walk from where we wanted to be all weekend. I found all of the staff were very helpful and informative. The rooms were spotless and we will definitely return here in the future.
I personally thought the breakfast could have had a bit more quality to it ,however, it wasn't too bad.
