Great location for photography and hikes.

The location is very close to lots of different hikes. The mostly Eastern European staff try very hard to be friendly despite English not being their first or second language. They engage in long conversations with you as you watch the view to the sunset down the valley disappear before your eyes. The food was quite good and the ratatouille puree was tasty on the wild rice.

Booking a double room normally means you get a double bed or two beds next to each other, side by side. This room was long and thin and the beds were arranged like train carriages, behind each other longways. Evening meal had to be eaten by 19.30 (7.30pm), contrary to the sign outside which clearly says hot food until 8.30. When arriving late after warning them beforehand we would be we did at least get a hot meal which was cooked well, but we were made to feel the staff were doing us a favour and on leaving day the staff were oddly unresponsive. We were a joint Swiss and English couple so could manage three languages fluently.

The staff was extraordinarily friendly and went out of their way (especially the two gentlemen doing the waiting at dinner and prepping the sauna).

Wonderful! Very comfortable and clean

Everything was really nice and clean, staff were very friendly and helpful, all the facilities were good quality and clean. The restaurant downstairs was very nice, and there was a half-board dinner option which was fantastic. Overall super cozy, and very cool location alone along the mountain pass.

For people relying on public transportation, be aware that there is only one bus that passes the hotel once a day in each direction. One minor problem was that if you want to sleep in, the walls were a bit thin and people talking in the hallway woke us up.

Eher teuer aber ideal für Wanderer und Personen auf der Durchreise

Das Hotel ist sehr gut eingerichtet, sauber, gemütlich, gute Betten, sanitäre Anlagen sehr gut. Frühstück reichhaltig. Die Lage ist für Wanderer und Autofahrer auf der Durchfahrt sehr gut.

Hotel ist eher teuer. Unser Zimmer hatte die Dusche und WC auf der Etage, deshalb erscheint der Preis eher hoch einzustufen.

Zimmer und sanitäre Anlagen waren gut, alles gepflegt und sauber. Gutes, reichhaltiges Frühstück

Wir waren kaum angekommen, hätten wir um 18h Abendessen sollen, danach gäbe es nichts mehr! Immerhin konnten wir dann 19h aushandeln. Unsere Röstis waren leider total versalzen, eine davon noch angebrannt.

Sehr gute Lage in den Bergen, praktische Unterkunft

Wunderschön gelegenes praktisch eingerichtetes Hotel in den Bergen mit grandioser Aussicht auf den Julierpass von oben und die Berge. Es gibt einen gratis Parkplatz, einen Skiraum, eine kleine Sauna und wir hatten TV und Wasserkocher im Zimmer mit eigenem Bad. Uns hat die Strasse nicht gestört, der Verkehr hielt sich in Grenzen. Wir empfanden es dort als sehr ruhig. Das Abendessen war immer sehr gut und die Auswahl in der Karte ist reichhaltig und bietet für jeden Geschmack etwas. Frühstück war ok. Besonders gut war die Teeauswahl.

In der Buchungsbestätigung wurde ein Bademantel als Ausstattungsmerkmal genannt. Der Wirt war darüber überrascht und meinte, dass es noch nie Bademäntel bei ihm gab. Man sollte bei Ankunft erstmal das Duschgel prüfen bevor man sich unter den Wasserhahn stellt. Bei uns war es leer. Es wurde nach Anfrage aber aufgefüllt. Das Waschbecken lief nicht ab und war wohl etwas verstopft, wir hatten aber keine Lust schon wieder etwas zu sagen. Die letzten beiden Tage gab es keinen Zimmerservice mehr.
