A perfect place to relax and be spoiled

Everything. Cosy but luxurious. Very attentive staff and a personal greeting every day from one of the family members. Run by the same family since 1908. Shuttle service from St Moritz station and to and from the village. Excellent food. Copious buffet breakfast with all one could wish for. Relaxing spa. I hope to return. If you go I recommend buying the book about the history of the hotel and its lovely family. Thank you all for a wonderful week.

A wonderful stay in a peaceful, charming hotel with breathtaking mountain views.

I really loved the atmosphere of the hotel — calm, elegant, and surrounded by beautiful nature. The location is stunning, the rooms are very comfortable, and the staff was warm and attentive. It felt like a true place to relax and recharge.

There was nothing I didn’t like. Everything was excellent.

Old money charm in amidst panoramic mountain setting

Refreshingly old school establishment with a high attention to detail, service and comfort. Well appointed rooms. Very good spa / pool / sauna. Quality breakfast buffet. Several quality restaurant options for dinner. The surrounding nature is spectacular. Several hiking routes to nearby lakes and mountains start right at the hotel. Perfect place to unwind for a few days.

The crowd this place attracts is old school, old money and conservative, the age average is probably north of 60. This is by no means a point of criticism. Just know what you are signing up for.

Wonderful and Magical Wedding Weekend!

The Hotel, the Service, the Staff were all 5 star and incredible! It is a magical and beautiful place! I can’t say enough about the staff and how helpful they were to us. Our son got married and they went above and beyond to have flowers in the room, rose petals on the bed. The Hotel itself is magical, so beautiful! Words can’t describe it! We look forward to returning!

The Waldhaus stands alone, both metaphorically and literally. The Grande Dame of Sils-Maria is impeccable in its ability to be seen as a reminder of the world of great hotels and yet remain a place of great warmth and friendly service. Everyone, and everything, is superb.

If you are recharging a device during the day, make sure you advise the supportive service staff not to turn the room power off. completely.

The perfect end to our Swiss honeymoon!

Everything at the Waldhaus was absolute perfection. We stayed here for four nights for our honeymoon and were so overwhelmed with the beauty of the property and the surrounding landscape, the friendliness and care of the staff, and the old world charm of this historic hotel. From the moment we arrived at the Waldhaus, we were greeted warmly by the staff and owners of the property. Our room was so well appointed and had the most amazing view of Lake Sils. The turn down service every evening made returning to our room after dinner like returning home. The food is delicious (you have to do the half board option!!) and the nightly menus kept things interesting and fresh. The spa was beyond anything we had ever enjoyed before, with a steam room, sauna, soaking pools, and relaxation rooms. We went on a hike through the Fex Valley and were in awe of everything we saw. It was like being transported back in time with all the modern conveniences and amenities included. Though I'm happy to be home, I will always miss the Waldhaus.

There is nothing that could have been improved on. The Waldhaus was absolutely perfect in every way. The only thing I didn't like was leaving the property!

Certainly worth returning

The spa area was a delight. The essentials oils used to provide a forest alpine scent is very well balanced. The meals were balanced and varied. The ice cream flavors were particularly delicious.

Surprised to find that the staff was generally polite but not as amiable and client focused as to be expected for such a high standing establishment. The dining room staff is to be congratulated because they are indeed service orientated.
