Hotel is very nicely furnished, have lovely bar with different sitting areas for the whole of the family. The food was excellent plenty to choose from and staff were very attentive.

Great Hotel

This was our 4th stay at the Sporthotel and again we had a lovely stay. Our room was spacious with plenty of storage and a comfortable bed. The indoor/outdoor pool was great. The ski room was good with heated boot hangers and ski stands although no lockers. The food was very good and plentiful.

The door to the bathroom was clear glass, which provided no privacy and was also hazardous, as on one occasion I walked straight into it and banged my head. It would be far better if the glass was obscured in the same way as the toilet door.

An average stay that did not meet 4-star standards and wasn’t worth the price.

Nice and spacious hotel with good location in the town.

While the room was spacious and clean, the overall experience did not meet our expectations for a 4-star hotel. The mattresses were worn out, and basic bathroom amenities such as shampoo and tissues were missing. The walls were thin, and noise from neighboring rooms was often distracting, which affected the overall comfort. Meals were average – breakfast lacked variety, the dinner was not surprising . Staff were friendly but spoke little to no English, and all information including menus and daily programs was only available in German, which made communication difficult and is not a standard for 4 stars hotels. Unfortunately, we feel the stay did not offer good value for money.

Exceptional

Everything was just super. I am not able to find even a small thing that we didn't like. The surroundings is so beautiful, food excellent, rooms very comfortable. Staff is friendly. If you want to go on hiking - all the facilities are near. If you with children - everything is very comfortable. All the day you can spend in the mountains and after that to spend the evening in the pool and to listen to nice music with a glass of wine. Highly recommended :)

Close to the village, but quit environment Large rooms , well equipped and very clean Very good restaurant with excellent breakfast buffet. Nice dinner with 5 courses and with 3 choices for entrance and main course. Wellness area is very nice with 3 parts: swimming area, sauna area, adult sauna area

Both sauna areas (wellness) are nude areas. In many hotels, this mean that people can go nude. In this hotel, you have to go nude. Obligation. The staff of the wellness argues with the hotel guests when they wear a bikini and tell them to go nude. I saw many women having problems to go nude. So they had to leave the wellness.

The hotel restaurant did not allow the dinner in the room, no room service was offered, when asked for a possibility to have dinner in the room with a nice view of the mountains instead of the fixed to a guest table in the corner of the restaurant. The concept of assigning a dining table can be understood from the logistics point of view, however ruins the whole dinner experience when you have to stock to same table assigned to you for the full stay, some flexibility of choosing the dining place would be appreciated. The hotel is located right to the main road that goes through the valley so if you are in search of a peaceful location for your holiday,with this location you will always hear the heavy road traffic.

fairly non adventurous stay in ellmau - slopes far too busy for half term.

clean modern room with great view, great pool.

the reception - nice enough staff but dated, unprofessional look with their food / snacks and drinks on view. very much had the feel of a cruise liner - it’s a very large hotel. dated restaurant area where we were placed on half board - but selection of food on offer was very good for the price.

Ein gutes, großes Sporthotel. Gut für Ski- und Wanderurlaube.

Die Ausstattung des Zimmers war modern und stylisch. Man hat sich sehr wohl gefühlt. Sehr freundliches Personal und großer Wellnessbereich mit Gym.

Das Essen (Frühstück und Abendessen) war reichlich, aber eher qualitativ mittelmäßig. Der Aufenthalt im Wellnessbereich war nicht automatisch in unsrem Zimmerpreis mit enthalten, sondern musste dazu gebucht werden.

Wir kommen gerne wieder

Die große des Zimmers hat überrascht. Wir hatten noch nie solch ein gutes und reichhaltigen Essen (Halbpension). Als sehr angenehm empfanden wir dass wir immer den selben Tisch hatten. Die Wellness Anlagen waren sehr sauber und haben eine angenehme Größe.

Das Personal am Empfang hätte bei der Ankunft etwas freundlicher sein können.

Een verzorgd verblijf met een heerlijk uitgebreid ontbijt en vriendelijk personeel. Top locatie!

Het ontbijt was lekker en zeer uitgebreid, een fijne start van de dag. Het personeel was vriendelijk en correct. Het hotel is vrij groot, waardoor de persoonlijke aandacht wat minder aanwezig is, maar alles verloopt wel professioneel. Het avondeten bestond uit een gangenmenu dat netjes en verzorgd werd opgediend. De stijl is wat chiquer en verfijnder; persoonlijk ben ik meer van de eenvoudigere, minder ‘luxe’ gerechten, maar dit is echt een kwestie van smaak.

Niets, als ik dan iets moet vermelden... in de eetruimtes (en eigenlijk overal) vrij warm en vonden wij onze zitplaats tijdens het diner wat minder prettig. Vrij diepe banken waardoor je niet lekker ontspannen kon zitten.

Tolles Hotel mitten in Ellmau

Das Hotel liegt mitten in Ellmau, ein paar schöne Läden sowie Cafés und Restaurants sind direkt ums Eck. Parken unkompliziert und kostenlos. Unser Business Zimmer war sehr geräumig mit ausreichend Platz für Koffer und Skisachen. Auch Sauberkeit ok und sehr gutes Housekeeping. Das Gebäude ist sehr weitläufig und ermöglicht ausreichend Möglichkeit zur Bewegung. Die Einrichtung im Aufenthaltsbereich ist ansprechend und gemütlich. Es gibt 2 Wellness Bereiche mit einem kleinen Außenpool. Alles in allem sehr schön gemacht wenn auch räumlich etwas zerklüftet. Aber das ist scheinbar so im Laufe der Zeit so gewachsen. Der Anteil an Familien mit Kleinkindern ist hoch, was uns in keinster Weise gestört hat. Das Frühstück ist gut, vor allem die Eierstation. Die Auswahl am Buffet ansonsten gut. Der Service ist ebenfalls ok, leider lässt die Qualität der Speisen abends jedoch einiges an Luft nach oben. Alles in allem ist das Hotel eine Empfehlung nicht zuletzt wegen des tollen Zimmers und der sehr guten Lage. Auch der Service ist lobenswert.

De poetsdienst van de kamer liet wat te wensen over. We moesten zelf nieuwe handdoeken vragen en de douche producten werden niet aangevuld. Wel jammer voor zo’n hotel.

Das Essen war sehr gut, sowohl das Frühstücksbüffet wie auch das Abendessen. Ideal für Menschen, die gerne viel essen. Die Betten sind auch sehr bequem.

Für jemanden, der Kaffee gern trinkt- im Hotel bekommt man keinen guten Kaffee. Die Pool-Landschaft ist eher klein für die Größe des Hotels.

Es stimmt Vieles in diesem großen Hotel, nur mit der Ruhe ist das so eine Sache.

Essenstechnisch gibt es nichts zu meckern. Üppige Buffets mit wechselnden Themen und qualitativ sehr gut. Schöne und weitläufige Außenanlage sowie schöner Spa und Fitness-Bereich. Superfreundliches Personal. Die Nähe zum wunderschönen Golfplatz.

Die Lage des Hotels und des Nebengebäudes. Wenn man im Haupthaus die schöne Außenanlage nutzt, rauscht an der naheliegenden Landstraße Richtung Kitzbühel der Verkehr lautstark vorbei. Dies ist im Nebengebäude noch heftiger, wenn man dort ein Zimmer im ersten Stock belegt, das in Richtung dieser Landstraße liegt. Ein ruhiger Schlaf ist bei offenem Fenster nicht oder nur schwer möglich.
