A very special hotel.

Everything. Our family have been coming here for our ski holiday since 1994 ; not every year because ski holidays are pricey, but we all love this family hotel, it's like a second home. This time was the first holiday with the next generation of our family; Mrs Hochfilzer and her staff welcomed us as old and valued friends. Thank you, Ingrid!

The pool and spa facilities are great. The staff are lovely. Generally speaking the food is very good.

Very good

Comfortable room quiet and the bed was great although one slat was broken and kept coming out at the bottom. Spa facilities and pool are really nice and its a good set up with children over 6 yrs as you can use sauna and steam room and one adult can watch kids its all in the same area so works well. Does get busy though!!

Worried about charging drinks to the room, you get an information sheet on arrival and it advises to get signed receipts from the bar. When we asked for these the bar men seemed reluctant to give them to us. We ordered drinks to our room at dinner and all was fine apart from one night we were charged 10 euros for Merlot we didnt order. On departure i asked for this to be removed which it was no issue. Would have given 10 rating if not for the 3 minor issues 1) broken bed 2) wrongly charged wine and 3) bar staff not very happy about us asking for receipts. Ideally if receipts could be given as standard at the bar this would resolve the issue. 😀

All the food - breakfast and dinner - was outstanding - amazing choice and great taste the pool and hot tub - perfect after a day out walking the staff were very friendly, polite and helpful

Fantastic stay over Christmas with lots of time on the slopes

The breakfast and dinners were superb as were the staff. The bar was very reasonably priced. Spa facilities were also great.

No walk in shower in family room but not the end of the world.

Superb

The view from the balcony was perfect. We had a view at the Wilder Kaiser and it was really beautiful. The apartment was very spacious and clean and we really liked it. Regarding the breakfast - it was amazing - it is impossible to try everything and the quality of provided food is excellent. Staff is really kind, helpful and polite - you can count on them all the time. We really recommend this hotel to everyone who would like to spend some days in Ellmau - especially for Bergdoktor's fans! :)

There was no place at the hotel's parking, but we have been informed that we can leave the car on a public parking located about 100 meters from the hotel. In the apartment there is no washbasin in the toilette, so you have to go through all of the rooms to wash your hands in the bedroom's bathroom.

Excellent overall!

Excellent location in the heart of Ellmau and right next to the Sky bus stop. The staff is amazing, very helpful and always with the smile on. Food is very tasty and the half board worth it! We will definitely come back!

Ein sehr schönes Hotel in wunderschöner Lage

- die Lage war sehr schön - das Frühstück war abwechslungsreich und sehr lecker - die Zimmer waren sehr groß und stylisch eingerichtet, die Balkone hatten einen tollen Ausblick - das Personal war wahnsinnig nett und hat gut mit Tipps zu Ausflugszielen unterstützt - der Wellnessbereich bot eine gute Entspannungsmöglichkeit

Leider wurden im Wellnessbereich die Hausregeln (keine Ballspiele, kein Springen) überhaupt nicht eingehalten. Schwimmen wurde nachmittags teilweise dadurch erschwert, dass man Leuten, die ins Wasser sprangen, ausweichen musste. Zudem wurde von einer Teenagergruppe viel gegrölt sowie Säfte in den Whirlpool gekippt und die Sauna verunstaltet (Schneebälle mit reingenommen und dort geworfen, kübelweise Poolwasser in den Aufguss gekippt). Da wäre ein wenig Kontrolle durch einen Bademeister wünschenswert, sodass alle Gäste den Wellnessbereich genießen können.

Prima Unterkunft, wir kommen wieder. 🥰

Das Hotel liegt in zentraler Lage in Ellmau. Alles ist fußläufig prima überreichen. Der Skibus hält alle 15 min vor dem Hotel, es dauert keine 10 Minuten bis zur Gondel. Das Personal ist extrem nett, gutes Essen. Prima Service.

Leider viel zu wenig Steckdosen im DZ Komfort. Für ein 4 Sterne Hotel müsste das überholt werden. Ich habe mein iPhone im Bad geladen. Watch und Tablett hätte man nicht laden können. Bei Abreise habe ich das angesprochen, dann wurde mir eine Steckerleiste angeboten😆

- Frühstücksbuffet wurde nur schleppend aufgefüllt. - Reinigungskraft vom Zimmer kommt um 08 Uhr einfach rein und schaut ob jemand drinnen ist. Geht gar nicht!!!!!

Wir hatten laut Booking eine Familiensuite gebucht. Unter der Bezeichnung Suite erwarte ich eine Schlaf- und ein Wohnraum Bekommen ein Doppelzimmer mit einem zusätzlichen Einzelzimmer. Die Einrichtung im Doppelzimmer bestand aus einem Doppelbett, einem Sofa mit einem kleinen Tisch. Fernsehen konnte man leider nur vom Bett aus genießen. Schade !!

Wir waren wunschlos glücklich!

Das Hotel hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Die Zimmer sind ausreichend groß für drei Erwachsene (Bademäntel, Handtücher usw. sind zudem vorhanden). Parkplätze stehen in begrenzter Anzahl am Hotel, ansonsten ausreichend in der Umgebung zur Verfügung. Sehr netter Service im gesamten Hotel. Weiterhin positiv ist das Frühstück hervorzuheben (frischgepresster Orangensaft, gute Auswahl am Buffet, guter Kaffee!).

Ausstattung und Lage Top Gastfreundschaft?

Leider hatte ich eine andere Erwartung, vor allem zum Thema der Gast steht im Mittelpunkt. Nun was hat mir gefallen. Die schönen grossen Zimmer. Und der Wellness und Poolbereich. Den wir kurz nutzen konnten. Das Zimmer war sehr schön und mit grossen Balkon. Auch grundsätzlich das Essen, das grosse Salatbuffet. Frühstücksbuffet war sehr umfangreich und sehr gut. Die Lage am Wilden Kaiser Gebirge ist sehr eindrucksvoll. Das Hotel bietet Wandertouren an rund um das Thema Bergdoktor das finde ich einzigartig gut.

Wie schon erwähnt. Waren wir enttäuscht. Uns wurde ein Tisch für das Abendessen im Barberich zugeilt. Warum auch immer, ich denke der Speisesaal war voll. Aber das wir hinter einer Wand sitzen mussten. Das konnte ich nicht verstehen. Es gab noch Platz. Nach mehrmaligen Nachfragen für einen anderen Esstisch. Wurde endlich uns ein bisschen besserer Tisch gegeben. Wir hatten ein Rotwein bestellt. Der aber viel zu spät uns gebracht wurde. Die anderen Kleinigkeiten will ich jetzt nicht öffentlich machen. Ich denke es war auch dort für das Personal viel zu heiss.
