Great place for the money. Awsome location.

It was a good location and value as far as the cost. It was better than most hostels in my opinion. It had a great view of the mountains and coffee and drinks were available 24/7. There was plenty of space for parking your vehicle.

Breakfast was good. The hostel really was trying to be environmentally friendly. Breakfast only served bread and boiled eggs. There was plenty of fresh jam and local honey that tasted great. If you were expecting and more traditional breakfast, I would recommend skipping paying for breakfast and going elsewhere or cooking it yourself at the community kitchen.

A friendly, peaceful place in beautiful Alps

What a lovely, friendly place. Well furnished rooms and nicely designed common space (both indoors and outdoors) with a lot of funcionality, cleaned daily. Ot was a pleasure yo spend time in the peaceful common room looking at impressive views of the mountains. The staff member helpful and kind, helped me with a lot of minor problems with a smile on his face . My bike was kept safe in a secure place. Tasty breakfast with a great selection of local vegetarian food.

Amazing views, great staff and beautiful hostel in great location

Perfect location for hiking and exploring - really beautiful views of the mountains from the communal area. Staff were also amazing! Isabel was lovely, very friendly and extremely helpful. Sebastian was also a great help, allowing us to hang out our wet tent in the laundry area ☺️

Kitchen a little small, but this is normal in Europe. A little expensive, but this is a very busy area. Otherwise, it is the perfect hostel!

Exceptional value for those looking for outstanding hiking, biking and scrambling on the quiet side of the Zupsptize area. Easy 20min drive to Garmisch and German side activities, and great place to spent a quiet day working. Thanks Mellow Mountain Hostel - I'll see you next time I'm in the Bavarian Alps!

Amazing view from the common room over the valley, basic but clean private room. The hostel seems to serve backpackers, hikers and climbers, the town seems to be a less touristy place to stay to access the mountains

Beautiful homely lodge surrounded by alpine mountains

An absolutely beautiful lodge style hostel! Definitely the most stunning hostel I’ve ever stayed in. Really felt like a much more expensive place to stay than it actually is. The views from the rooms and communal spaces are absolutely amazing, completely surrounded by towering mountains and lush green meadows. Amazing area to be based for many stunning local hikes and other attraction’s I.E Zugspitsze, Partnach Gorge, etc. Felt extremely homely and comfortable, not like the normal industrial hostel vibe, I missed it once I had left!

Clean, most comfortable environment I have stayed in, common areas felt like home, great location, parking available. Staff very accommodating.

I enjoyed breakfast, but the people I traveled with would have liked a little meat on breakfast buffet.

Recommendation

The room was exceptional clean especially the bathroom! Had a good size and a beautiful view to the mountains! The breakfast was vegetarian which I think is great and local products are used. Parking is included and, on the opposite, of the hotel. Drive to Zugspitze and Eibsee is around 30min. Check out easy and quick!

The welcome from an older lady wasn't as nice. We have been told off when asked for towels as we forgot ours "we are a hostel not a hotel". To then find a note in the room for all guests quote " In case you did not bring your own towels, shampoo or hair dryer you can borrow those things for free at the front desk". So not sure what that was all about.... Left a little bitter taste after a great day.
