Beautiful location in nature with artsy and spiritual vibe on a secluded beach, great snorkelling 2min walk away at the cliff. The staff is very lovely and makes you feel like being part of the family. The food is all home made and delicious, great value for money. This is the real Bali, like it used to be. I’m looking forward to my next stay at Balila!

Before my arrival I was concerned about not having AC. But it was nice and airy in the rooms, the fans are totally sufficient.

Go and stay at Balila! It won’t disappoint.

I loved the vibe of the resort. I stayed in the sunrise hut, the view was beautiful. The room was so comfortable, it has everything you need. It’s 10min away from Amed. Smart if you drive scooter/motorbike, so you can explore around Amed.

The staff is A M A Z I N G. they make you feel at home and very looked after. The resort is beautiful with sea views. The restaurant prepares delicious food, all natural.

Was quite quirky and appreciate the owners are aiming to re cycle and re-use wherever possible. The staff were lovely and helpful and really make the place. We enjoyed the evening meals. .

Superb

Enjoyed our stay here! Did a lot of walking on the beach and chilling out by the pool and near the yoga. Had a massage which was also quite good. The room was fairly spacious and suited our needs.

No AC in the room so it was a little hot, though floor fans were provided which made it not an issue for us. Due to the nature of the roads, it is not trivial to get into the center of Amed proper (where all the dive shops and restaurants are). Don't let Google Maps mislead you – in order to get to this place you must go all the way through Culik village outside of Amed, which is quite the detour. If you just want a getaway and don't plan to spend much time in Amed this won't be an issue, but we were traveling with friends (who stayed in the center of Amed) and meeting up with them in Amed / getting to dinner was a bit of a pain (especially after full days of diving). I almost certainly wouldn't stay here without my own vehicle (we were on our scooters) unless you don't really plan to leave the resort at all.

lovely peaceful and accommodating staff

nice and quiet lovely rooms , so close to a beach used by local fishermen, was very peaceful at Bali beach , was great that they had a yoga shala which I used daily for practice then the beach is just there at the bottom of the steps lovely peaceful start to my Bali adventure

Relaxing place

The staff was very friendly and helpful. We liked the hammocks and the different chill out areas. There is a great offer of different activities. The view was amazing.

Wifi was only available in the common area. And you are asked to not watch videos or do video calls to save mobile data. That felt weird since we had to work online. It's quite far from Amed and the price for the taxi too much. It's important to know that the rooms are not properly closed so that animals could come inside.

Wonderful secluded resort with amazing staff- wish I could have stayed longer

Beautiful properly - but most importantly exceptionally sweet and helpful staff. Thank you to you! All from the kitchen staff to Pak Adi to the boys taking care of the room. 10/10. Also the rooms and the design was very nice.

special, beautifully located place - felt like home

I had a wonderful time at this place. Planned on staying for 2 nights, extended 2 more nights because I did not want to leave earlier. for people who look for a quiet and spiritual place, who love animals (like cats and dogs and also some insects of course, since it’s in the nature ;)) and also the combination of tranquility and community, I definitely recommend this place. I immediately felt very welcomed due to the lovely staff and also the other guests! We often sat together, eating amazing food (thanks to the kitchen - the food and drinks are amazing, fresh and healthy! :)) and talked or relaxed by the pool. It really is a special and peaceful place, I found new friends there and If I come back to Bali one day, I would definitely spend some time here again. Thank you for the great hospitality. 🙏🏼✨

The location (once you’ve reached it) is beautiful and quiet. You just should not expect to be very close to Amed. But you can walk along the beach or take a scooter or taxi, If you want to go into Amed. I actually spent most of the time at the hotel and pool, because it was so relaxing and no need to go out since the food is reasonably priced and so good!! So you have everything that you need there. :)

Beautiful vibes all around!

Everything was wonderful. The staff were warm and helpful, the view was spectacular, the property was quiet, the food was wonderful (every dish!), and many of the other guests were wonderful people. It really felt like a tropical home away from home.

The mosquitos. But that’s just Bali. And the room was quite warm even with fans. But that’s also just Bali. And a fair price to pay to stay at a secluded jungle beach paradise.

Hidden gem !

We really enjoyed staying in Balila. - Rooms are beautiful, with a nice view and good energy, comfy beds - The restaurant is really tasty ! Good place for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Try the Dadar, you won’t be disappointed - Chill and swimming pool area - Nice staff - Possibility to book yoga courses, sound bath, and much more.

- The shrimp factory next door can be a little bit noisy at night for sensitive ears - but don’t worry too much, you still have all the nature sounds around - Wi-Fi is not very good

Its was very strange experience.. No music in restaurant. There is dog who can walk in to your room. Seen that dog playing with dead chicken by the sea and after 10min laying down on someone's towel by the pool. Not much privacy in toilet/shower been spotted by person who was cleaning swimming pool.

Unser Ocean-Zimmer war extrem geschmackvoll und hochwertig eingerichtet. Super gute Betten. Sehr sauber! Die Alleinlage ist ein Traum. Super freundliches Personal. Yoga und Massagen waren sehr gut! Der Pool ist traumhaft. Wir können das Hotel Balila wärmstens empfehlen!

Magnifique endroit où règnent bienveillance et joie de vivre!

Absolument tout! L endroit est un petit paradis où l on se sent bien. Les employés sont adorables, July et son équipe font tout pour le bien-être de leurs clients. Le restaurant est très bon, tout le monde y est toujours de bonne humeur. La décoration est top, j ai adoré et j y reviendrai!

Un ecolodge dove rilassarsi dopo il trambusto di Ubud

Lo charme, la vista, lo staff. La veranda privata con amaca e poltrona davanti alla mia stanza (Sunrise credo), magnifica. I dettagli, l’ambiente misto e accogliente. L’attenzione alla sostenibilità.

Purtroppo la spiaggia (di ciottoli scuri) davanti all’hotel è sporca, piena di plastica; non c’è ombra o sdraio per sedersi. Io stavo nella stanza singola, la mattina anche con le tende della veranda abbassate è luce piena, sarebbero utili delle tende scure. La città è un po’ lontana.
