Pleasant stay

The people/ staff were helpful, friendly and supported us with questions and arrangements we needed. The common area is well kept and beautiful. Location was also very nice. The house and the rooms are clean and well kept. The patios are pelasant to be sitting there in the morning for coffee. Loved their “ cafe de olla” and their pastriee.

I dont think breakfasts are Michelin Star quality. Bedroom didnt have any windows. The only window led to a hallway. We couldn’t wait to get out of the bedroom and it was a shame as i love staying in hotel rooms when i want ro resr. This one, i needed to get out asap as it felt like trapped in a dark box

The location was great. Close to restaurants and shops. Quiet neighborhood. The property itself was pretty.The public areas were very attractive.

The rooms were not so spacious. We had to ask to change our room because there were no closets or any storage for our clothes and belongings. Compared to the price the rooms were not worth it.There were no facilities like a restaurant.

A cool boutique hotel in easy walking distance of shops and restaurants

The staff were welcoming and friendly. The hotel has lots of character and is situated in a quiet location near to the upmarket stores in Polanco. The breakfast choices were really good!

A separate shower rather than an 'in bath' shower would have been better for us.

Excellent mostly!

Breakfast was very good, as well as service and staff were exceptional. Great location and bed was very comfortable. Easy check in process too.

Breakfast service could use some more help to speed up the service. More local and sport channels available. Carrying your luggage up and down the stairs was a bit challenging and can be dangerous, facility should look into some easier way for visitors to either carry their luggage up to their rooms as well as down the stairs so someone does not get injuried.

Excellent

The breakfast was amazing and included with our stay freshly made every morning. Tea, coffee and snacks were available 24 hours. Someone was at the property after hours as well and we were very well looked after. amazing hotel and the nicest people who run it. They organized transport for us to the airport and my wife forgot her phone in the car, I called the hotel and they got the driver to bring it back to us at the airport. Also we travelled with our 5 month old baby as first time parents, we were made to feel at home by the lovely people at Pug Seal.

Cant think of anything, maybe another pair of slippers in the room

The attention to detail was incredible. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The free breakfast in the morning was delicious and homemade. All throughout the day there were snacks and refreshments in the lobby. The location was perfect as it was walking distance to the main street with shopping as well as some of the best restaurants in the city. The bartender was amazing as were his drinks! We also had a massage to top off the experience!

This is not a hotel I would recommend anyone for business travel.

It just doesn’t work for someone going to Mexico for work. The hot water didn’t function properly, I had to turn on the hot water of the shower 7-10 minutes before actually getting it hot. No iron at the room. The breakfast was nice but very slow.

Charming boutique hotel in a great location with an excellent cooked breakfast.

Nice quiet location, just off the main street in Polanco with lots of high end shops and restaurants. Very safe neighbourhood and great for a morning run. Room was fine, nothing special but clean and tidy and hot drinks and free filtered water just outside. The building is charming like an old small mansion. No external noise from the room. Highlight was the cooked breakfasts which were excellent. 24 hour check in available. Very comfortable bedding.

The aircon was quite noisy and we couldn't adjust it, so we had a stream of air blowing into us in bed.

Charming Hotel with Great Service, but Not Quite a 9.0

The location is excellent — right off the main street in Polanco, surrounded by beautiful, high-end shopping and top-tier restaurants. The hotel itself has stunning Mexican character and felt both elegant and secure. Everyone on staff was polite, helpful, and genuinely friendly. I really appreciated the thoughtful touches, like the complimentary hallway snacks. Breakfast was a highlight thanks to the fresh orange juice, delicious omelette, and chance to meet others. My room was lovely and offered a relaxing view of the nature outside. I also really valued the local dining recommendations.

A few comfort issues made the stay feel more like an 8.5 than the 9.0 it’s rated. The bathroom was cramped, with a sink area that felt too tight to use comfortably. The shower water didn’t get hot enough and took a while to warm up, and the toilet was oddly loud. Also, the hair dryer was underpowered - not what I’d expect from a hotel that touts Michelin-level quality. Breakfast outside of the omelette was disappointing: the chilaquiles and huevos rojos fell flat.

Disappointing hotel in a superb location

First class location in the middle of Polanco

Untidy, way over priced, mediocre breakfast and facilities in general. Nothing like a high class spirited boutique. This is more like an upmarket bed and breakfast. Would not be worth half the price

Very nice boutique hotel. It was so nice not to be charged extra for all the little things.

The breakfast was wonderful. The drinks that were available during the day was a nice touch, even though I never had any. The bathroom was a nice size. I loved that I was given a robe and super cute slippers. All the staff were super nice, even the night guard when I came in super late.

I was only one person in the room, but this would be tight for a couple with suitcases. But, maybe for two people you'd be in a different room.The courtyard was nice, but it could have been more inviting, lush to sit in. I almost passed the residence a few times and had difficulty with uber because I didn't see the signage for the hotel. Unless I missed it...

the breakfast. food was good. the waiters and the guys that prepared the bikes for us. cleaning ladies very nice too. the house looks nice from outside.

noisy everywhere. I personally asked for a quiet room. first night they gave us the worst room available. upstairs on top of the kitchen, and the front desk. we heard the guy on this radio or TV all night. and at 5 am starting hearing dishes and tables being moved around. around 7 am big smell from the cooking.. ... couldn't sleep that night. next day could not go out on time and missed my chance of visiting CDMX properly. next day they moved us to an interior room with no natural light. we could hear everyone coming in an out of stairs third day we went to have breakfast and had to listen to owners phone call very loud in a table 5 feet from us. delivering work orders and fun comments almos shouting on the phone. we had to move to the living room.

LOVED LOVED LOVED the morning breakfast. So charming to have water and tasty snacks available any time of day or night in the lobby. The Pug Seal building and grounds are beautiful with charming decorative touches. Polanco is a fabulous, upscale neighborhood.

Old and charming means sacrificing some creature comforts like drawer space, adequate lighting, water pressure, etc. Staff worked hard to correct issues with toilet flushing but it was an issue from day 1.

Beautiful - stylish - chic - quiet - perfect location in a very safe neighborhood with nice restaurants and stores nearby - staff was just perfect and breakfast delicious

We felt we booked in the property pictured and ended up being redirected in the other property on Poe street, nice as well but not as impressive as the first one. - the noise in the bedroom at night due to what sounded like neighbours metallic stair case along bedroom wall

Absolutely amazing stay!

My partner and I recently had the pleasure of staying at the hotel in Polanco and I must say, it was an absolutely wonderful experience. The location of the hotel is fantastic, so quite and situated in one of the most upscale and vibrant neighborhoods in Mexico City. Speaking of the staff, they were truly exceptional. They went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of our stay was perfect, from the check-in process to the tour recommendations and everything in between (especially spa!). Their attention to detail and willingness to assist with any request was truly remarkable and greatly appreciated. The accommodations themselves were also top-notch. We've got the upgrade to the top room that was spacious, beautifully decorated, and thoughtfully designed with all the amenities we could possibly need. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a luxurious and memorable stay in Polanco. The combination of a great location, exceptional service, unique decorations and top-notch accommodations make it a truly exceptional experience. Thank you to the entire staff for making our stay so wonderful!
