Unfortunately not for us

The surroundings were lovely, nice bit of country side

On arrival at reception we spoke to a lady about checking in, there was two lads sat on back counter behind her which I found very strange and quite intimidating to be honest, literally staring at us as we checked in… bath water was yellow and bed was really uncomfortable, the room was very clean though.

The hotel is great and comfortable and spacious

The bed, mattress, the size of the room, free parking, staffs were all good and great.

The shower was very short to the wall & outdated. (Couldn’t stretch it out to shower my baby) Likewise the radiators in room we stayed were not working. And the ceiling heating system was not warming up, so the room was just like Autumn cooling.

This was not our first stay and hopefully won’t be our last as we visit family in the area.

The hotel was ok.

I was charged a deposit for the rooms to which I would get back and up to this dayi have not received it. And that is not nice. I called and I haven't received any satisfactory responses. I don't think I want to come back and I wouldn't recommend this hotel.

Nice restaurant and lovely setting but very worn and dated.

The staff are friendly and helpful, the location was great for where I was working. The foyer area and restaurant are lovely and the breakfast is good.

The room was awful. Run down, falling apart, worn and not very clean. They only provide 2 pillows on a double bed. I have stayed before and had a bad room and then gave the place a second chance and got a decent room on 2 separate occasions. However, I will not stay again as the room was just awful. The need to upgrade all their rooms.

The 90’s called…… they want their hotel back!

Location was great and beautiful views. Room is huge.

Serious money needs to be spent or it will struggle. The lobby looks great, but the rooms are very very poor! The venue looks like it hasn’t been touched in 30 years. Nightstaff were rude and inattentive. Bar was closed and vending machine wasn’t working so had to go to the garage to get a drink. The room was dirty and windows with black mould, toilet smelt of pee when we arrived. Found the toilet brush holder was full of water. Very old tv with sadly no remote. It’s a shame because this place would’ve been a jewel once but needs a serious referb and staff training.

The lift had broken down , so we had to carry our cases up the stairs. Very old property needing work done.

The chef didn't turn up for work both days, the lift wasn't working and our room was on the 2nd floor, the bar man turned up late so you couldn't get a drink. the place needs to be knocked down in all honesty

The hotel is in the lovely little village of Tong,near everything you need but still in the countryside.

I didn’t like that you are charged £4 per night for parking on the premises. This should be free for guests who have already paid to stay. This would put me off from staying again.

The Location to the Golf Club where we were at a wedding.

The room was freezing, the heating not working. The toilet was running on all the time. The decor in the room had seen better days, needed a refurb. Went down to breakfast after paying for full english, just a bit of dried up scrambled egg and a slice of toast each. Not what you expect for £129!

Scrap parking cameras

Everything was ok until the week after when they sent me a parking ticket for parking in car park even though they had taken my registration number had to appeal then they still tryed it on for £20 after that. Just paid it could not do with the stress. This probably happens to everyone that’s stops there trying to get more money of you. There’s no reason to put cameras up for parking as it’s in a quiet place. That’s the only down fall for the hotel. 😩
