The chef didn't turn up for work both days, the lift wasn't working and our room was on the 2nd floor, the bar man turned up late so you couldn't get a drink. the place needs to be knocked down in all honesty

Very disappointing

The Location to the Golf Club where we were at a wedding.

The room was freezing, the heating not working. The toilet was running on all the time. The decor in the room had seen better days, needed a refurb. Went down to breakfast after paying for full english, just a bit of dried up scrambled egg and a slice of toast each. Not what you expect for £129!

Scrap parking cameras

Everything was ok until the week after when they sent me a parking ticket for parking in car park even though they had taken my registration number had to appeal then they still tryed it on for £20 after that. Just paid it could not do with the stress. This probably happens to everyone that’s stops there trying to get more money of you. There’s no reason to put cameras up for parking as it’s in a quiet place. That’s the only down fall for the hotel. 😩

The rooms are huge, however not exactly clean and fitted with horribly old fashioned dusty furniture. The bed was tiny and uncomfortable. There were no plug points by the bed. One of the bedside lights had a rip in it. Over all not a pleasant experience.

Breakfast was awful. Only 1 cook took ages for everyone to get their breakfast this morning.

The shower was cold on the first day we had to get someone to fix it. The sofabeds were awful. I was also told I would get 2 sofabeds but only received one in my room. The breakfast was very slow this morning.

The restaurant on the property is a 10/10 experience the food was amazing. The service could have been better.

I didn’t like the fact that there were no elevators, the room furniture needs to be updated. They charged my taxi for parking when he was only waiting for us to come from our rooms while having to lug our luggages down the stairs.

A horrible nightmare! Worst place I ever stayed

It was close to the wedding venue

Everything! Looked lovely from out/ reception but far from nice once you get in. The lift wasn’t working and bring baggage upstairs on narrow dirty corridors . In the room, no drinking water, please provide water instead of those biscuits! The room old, dirty curtains , horrible mattress and just poor layout. Bath tab, not a good idea ! It just didn’t work for me. There were several unkempt people seen in the facility. The breakfast was a disaster! Both mornings went in at 8am and hardly any food left. Waited 40min for an omelette to be made. On one evening, the bar staff smoking and excited about the lounge of the smoking stuff! Apologies but nothing good to write

Disappointing Stay @ Tong Park Hotel– Falls Short of 3-Star Standards I am 61 years old, and have travelled a lot through my life and but have never encountered such a poor hotel. I stayed at Tong Park for two nights (July 17, 18, 2025) and was disappointed by the lack of upkeep and service. Lift out of service, the carpets in common areas were dirty, and the curtains in my room were poorly installed and running off the rails. No semblance of basic hotel management. For example, the breakfast service was chaotic—food trays were frequently empty, and a single overworked staff member juggled cooking, serving, and replenishing food, leading to long waits. Basic breakfast item like sausage not cooked properly. This morning, they even ran short of simple item like breakfast bread. I could say more, but hopefully that gives adequate picture. For a hotel advertised as three-star, the experience fell far below expectations. Basic maintenance, cleanliness, and staffing need urgent attention to justify the rating. I wouldn’t recommend staying here until significant improvements are made.

Beautiful building and views. Good room size. Nice bathroom.

Staff were not very welcoming on check-in or check out. Breakfast was a chaotic set up, there were only 2 other people when we went down, and if it was chaos, then I can only imagine what it's like when busy! A bar of soap from the previous person who stayed in our room was in the shower. Loads of things in the room and bathroom were broken, drawer handles. The lift was out of order, but on check-in this wasn't shared, just 'go round the corner and the stairs are there).

Fabulous Staff! Great Breakfast. Great value for money

The hotel staff are always superb! They are welcoming and friendly. The gym is a great addition to have when you've been sat in a car all day with work. Breakfast is good, they have plenty on offer. The beds are comfortable and the location is convenient.

Room was clean.

Reception/bar/toilets in reception, exceptionally posh marble, unfortunately this did not carry through to the dated rooms. Our room had a metal bath with the enamel peeling. Windows didn't open properly, luckily it was not 30 degrees C. Bar had a an array of 8 beer taps, none of which had any beer in them, just 2 types of bottled beer.
